So you have tested psu to make sure it is putting out proper power?  What did you do to check PSU and rule it out?

But to die off totally is rare more often its a blade or something.  For no lights and fan's or anything I would give psu another look over.

If you're out of warranty I would say try swapping the controller board from the working unit on to the dead unit.

If your running S7 is also out of warranty, you might be able to check your blades from the non-functional one by swapping them into the functioning one, a single blade at a time. You would need to do this methodically and with care to draw useful conclusions.

How many actual ports are on you functional S7 controller? Is it just the three, or does it have all 9 populated? If you can narrow it down to the controller, then I am pretty sure that Bitmain will sell you a new controller.

You should be able to figure out what's broken at a gross level, and see what bits of your "broken" S7 can actually still be used.

I should also ask, are the two S7's you mention from the same, or similar, batches? That might influence what you can do in terms of moving parts around.

Best of luck.

I haven't really been following this conversation, but are you able to test out your PSU voltages at all? I was having issues with my S7 having a sporadic hashrate, and eventually I was able to determine that a faulty 12V rail on my PSU was the source of the problem.

Same problem here.... and no kernel-log... will tinker around and see what I can do. Annoying is the fact that Bitmain does not react to questions at all. A support ticket was deleted without any response...

It runs at 4 TH/s for an hour or so then starts beeping after reducing to 600 frequency..

im running my s7 on one original fan (one died) and the new ones come with one anyways so it starts beeping after 2 or so minutes i have lowered the frequency to 500 and temps are below 58 so thats not the issue
ghash.io picks it up minig and then when the beeping starts ghash.io drops too

Hi Everyone.

I just need a bit of advice if possible.

Just received my latest S7 and 1 of the 3 blades is throwing out an insane amount of HW errors.

So far I have tried swapping the PSU from a bitmain 1600 to an EVGA 1600 and it still has the same issue, I have also checked for loose heatsinks and no issue there either, the other 2 blades on the machine are hashing really well with very low error rates pretty much none to be honest.

I have posted a screen of the 1 blade hashing on its own, as I tested all 3 one by one.

The blade does eventually stops hashing after around an hour or so, then when restarted its perfect for around 4-5 minutes and then dumps a ton of errors in one big go, the temp of the machine also seems to make no difference, from running at 40c - 60c, as I have tested every possible scenario and can't seem to figure out why.

I have listed what I have done so far testing wise below.

Reduced frequency
Tested in cold environment
Tested in warm environment
Tested 2 different working PSUs
Changed the 8pin signal cable
Tested a different port
Checked for loose heatsinks
Changed the Ethernet (Clutching at straws with this one  Huh)

I understand it may need RMA but if this issue can be resolved by myself it would be easier, as although bitmain support do eventually get issues resolved I understand it can take some time for the turnaround.
