Does those 2 boards report much higher temperature as a result compared to the 3rd hash board?  Curious as I want to be able to spot these issues in the future if it happens remotely.

I think he got lucky.  It would be very easy not to notice it, which is the scary part.  And the heats sinks are made of metal so if they hit the wrong spot on the board it can be a very bad result.

With 2 having issues Droid was there anything in common you noticed? Or just plan bad luck.

I hadn't even tried to run them, I noticed as I was moving them the clanking.. I think they may have fallen off after placing them on their new shelf.. Maybe the litte thump from setting them down was enough to just pop off

Interesting I'm glad you found it before any damage.  That is kinda scary if caused from just moving shelf's.   I was not guessing something as little as that was cause.  Thanks for sharing.

Yeah I ordered a couple rPi heatsinks after I saw the sink on the end tumbling around, but then realized a second one was loose also. Just sent an email to Sherry to see what she wants me to do

Also on another note

Has anyone had issues sliding two together and the two getting stuck?  I've got a B7 and B8 slid together with the aluminum rails and for the life of me I can't slide them apart now. Seems maybe the metal swelled or there might have been a little shard of aluminum on the track and wedged itself in there causing it to jam up.  I'm probably going to have to keep them permanently together now lol

Just was curious on which EVGA PSU it was.   

I use 2 EVGA 1300s for each S7.  I've got a bunch laying around.

I'll finally get my S7 tomorrow and will be able to update you guys on if I have a customs charge from UPS or not. Hopefully the miner doesn't have any issues but seeing as plenty of you are having problems with dead boards or heatsinks falling off... I guess I should be expecting something.

RMA requests are actually info@bitmaintech.com on email's.  So I would send a email that way.

I will warn they have got harder on warranty. Don' t take apart and try to fix or they consider it voiding warranty unless you had permission.

The batch 9 s7 only has 3  hookups on the controller for boards, I can see where on the board the other 6 would go but I'm not taking a soldering iron to the thing. No more controlling more than one s7 with 1 controller board.

Nothing says that they MUST be uniform across the batch. As long as the controller has the required ports to run what they ship, Bitmain has fulfilled their obligation. Maybe somebody got lucky and got an earlier batch controller, or possibly a new batch for a possible S7+.

Good that folks report what they get though. Buyers just should NOT depend on it being something more than is required.

Have my S7 running Due to the amount of noise it makes I underclocked it's frequency to 400. Getting 3TH at that rate. Whenever I find a better place to keep it running I'll up the frequency a bit. There's no way that I'll be sleeping with it in my room.

Why not run it in the garage at full blast and get free heat while you're at it?  You're losing money at 3TH.  If you're living in a cold weather area, lower the fan to 30% and see if the temp is within ok range.  IT would be more livable.  You can also buy custom 3D printed DUCT where you duct the Intake to take in cold intake air from outside and push out the hot air to the outside as well.  If you do that, you can lower your fan speed which is the only thing that is making those noise.

I would be careful with that seller on ebay, has only sold one item ever. Only has sold one item in last 12 months and it was stated in feedback that communication was good but shipping was slow after payment.

I'm not concern.  I just ordered 10 from him.  I will be doing a review on it and he also made me 2 custom FAN mount with Bitcoin symbol.  He sent me the picture of the design and included it for free as I will be helping promote the product if it's good.  I think it's the perfect solution for my Plenum design or anyone with a small config where you just vent the heat outside or do a full circule from outside and inside air.

Just got a brand new S7 arrived from Bitmain bought by a hosting customer. Just out of the box and I see one of the power jacks on the middle board already has a bit of heat browning to it. Not terribly impressed by that.

It was well-tested, I suppose... 
That said, one of mine also had the same (and also on the middle board) when I first got it...but it is OK so far.
The first (or second?) S1 that I ever had was so brown in the connector area (it was obviously used before the sell) that I wasn't sure if it was OK to use, but it turned out to be the best performer, which was successfully resold later on and used by another person with no probs as well. The "beast" also had a cracked fan...memories.
