My friend ordered 1 unit 19.1. and shipped 21.1. (DHL)
My order 7x S7+PSUs was also 19.1. but unshipped yet (UPS)
So for my order from 19.1. still no shipping info.
I really do not understand, why Bitmain some orders (which were placed at the same time) shipped almost immediatelly and some not (and all batch 9, paid via BTC)

I pre-ordered batch 1 at the end of august, I received them 20 october, about at the same time as the batch 2 orders.
My mistake was paying with USD, had I paid with bitcoin, I would have gotten them almost a month earlier. <- Lost about 7 BTC on this.

Did you pay with $ or BTC? Cheesy

And btw, I never received any shipping info or any emails at all, after I've sent them my money.
The only communication I ever had with Bitmain, was getting the order details email.
So don't expect any communication! ^^

IMO If you're sure it's the same board you sent to them. They should pay for shipping and labor.

Have any S7s made it to the used market yet?  Are they holding their resale value?  I would like to pick one up to have it hosted, but I don't like paying new full price.

They are still selling more than the price of a new one. Several sellers on eBay refused my $1000 best offer.

Dang I hope they get it fixed up this time, that does sound like a pain.  Out of curosity when you say using EVGA PSU's are you using EVGA 1600's?

Just was curious on which EVGA PSU it was.

I see that issue often.  If you're lucky, reboot will fix that problem.

Also so far I've tested about 15 Batch 9 S7 and I noticed that 693M Frequency is pretty nice for cooling.  I only lose about 50-70 GH but the box runs about 3-5C cooler on average.  Are other people seeing similar or is it just my combo with my IBM 2KW PSU and EVGA G2?

I'm in the US, where would be the best place to buy an S7 with a credit card?

Amazon.

In other news, got my batch 9 S7s in today. Three of them have issues with board 2. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't. Sigh.

Anyways, I was playing with one of them and installed some of these fans http://amzn.to/1OTMULB and surprisingly it stays around 60 degrees. This is a pretty substantial noise difference. I guess you could just change the stock fan setting to 30-50% and make it quieter. But honestly Noctua makes a damn good fan.

I wanted to keep this S7 at my house instead of the data center. I have it outside in a small shed with an ambient temp of around 70 degrees. I'm impressed. I did under clock to 675 just to give me some buffer. The hottest it got today was 63, and has since dropped back into the 50s now that it is 5pm.

Are you sure? I use to use the Noctua Industrial 3000 fans on my S5's and with ambient temps at 70 it was difficult to keep temps below 65. Unless the S7's really run that much cooler or the temp sensor is in a really bad spot. Does the shed have an open window or something moving the air inside?

One heatsink in a b7 I have fell off when moving the miner to a diff location.

Could I potentially buy a small adhesive rPi heatsink to replace it?

I was told the following by Sherri. If it's not done right, you risk burning the chip.

"Carry and setting gently when assembling  the hash boards. Since the heat sinks are glued on the hash boards directly(it is not firm enough), they can easily knocked off.

If there have heat sinks drop out from the hash boards ,please do not use it any more and contact us asap! You cant fixed it in your side or the warranty will be void!

If the boards are burnt due to lack of the heat sinks ,you need to cover the repair cost."

If you do it your side you give up any warranty.  So I personally would contact bitmain and see about RMA on the 1 blade.  It does stink on downtime.... but if they see you tried to repair it it's hard to tell what they will charge vs free.  I would use the warranty.

If you were out of warranty I would look for solutions like you mention.  But I think risk vs reward is to great with intact warranty.

What batch is this?  Wow that is not good to hear that heatsinks are falling just from regular relocation.  How did you find out 1 fell off?  Did the temperature spike up on 1 of the card or did you just happened to be looking and coincidentally saw this?

Batch 7

I heard a clinking sound and took off rear fan and saw it popped off the end of blade 1

Also looking at it more there's another heatsink that popped off in the middle of blade 2

Does those 2 boards report much higher temperature as a result compared to the 3rd hash board?  Curious as I want to be able to spot these issues in the future if it happens remotely.
