Gambling. Is It Wrong?

If you can afford to lose money then maybe not but if you are gambling with the rent and food money I would say yes

Yup! gambling is not really wrong it depends on the one who is gambling, the gambler!

if the gambler is to addictive with gambling then gambling is wrong for him he need proper attention and medication or he must go on a rehab!

I think it depends on how you look at it. If you win, of course you see gambling as well.
But if you lose then you obviously already lost your money and you will see it as poor.

I think your right too, but I see it in a different perspective that playing gambling really can make you very addictive to it without really knowing it, so I would like to say that you have a point and I think every games that involve money or something is wrong what if it is a free gambling and doesn't involve anything is it still wrong?

Yes gambling is very wrong to do, it gets people real addicted.

its also very wrong if you addicted the people that are addicted lose everything.

I'm really against it but its very fun if you play, but it will get you to risk very much.

Well you can look at it from different aspects, its easy to say its not wrong.
I think it is not wrong because its addicted, but because people lose everything from it.

There is only on point of view for gambling. Rarely two. The second one is to go one time within a month to spend some bucks only to make a drink and passe some time. But for the most of the people it is not game. They want to win because hope to have luck. But even if is treated as a game and they gamble continuously (always treating as a game and thinking that it is a game) soon or later will become addicted by this "game" and will passe at the next step: the step of ruin themselves and their family or all their dears. It is scientifically proven that gambling continuously for a long time bring for sure addiction. This is not known by most of the gamblers. This make gambling even more risky.

Well, some people have addictive personalities and some people don't.  It is not necessarily true that gambling often will ultimately lead to an addiction.  And, even if it were to lead to an addiction, there's no evidence that suggests that the addiction would be a bad thing or a thing that causes problems.  I mean, I know people who're addicted to gardening who have beautiful landscaping around their properties which only appreciates their properties' value.  My point is that some people are prone to addiction but some addictions turn out to be assets.  Addictions are bad when they cause strife....not just because they have the POTENTIAL to cause strife.

exactly... gambling turns wrong when you don't get any benefit from it anymore, and you tend to repeat and abuse gambling because you want to get back all  your losses...

Thanks for the support. This words of mine came from what I just saw in families of my relatives and friends. They gamble even the last money that they have even if it is for the food that the family will eat for the day. Well thanks to them I realized that is what will happen if I do that too. Lesson learned.

This seems only one view. I think that's true, but when the person can not control. but if the person is able to control, it all will not happen.

Think about this: When you pay for medical insurance, you are gambling with the insurance company.  You pay your premium (your bet) to the insurance company in case you get sick.  The insurance company charges you the premium (takes your bet), and gives you odds that you wont get sick.  THAT IS GAMBLING!  Only the names are changed.  So, if gambling's wrong, the insurance companies are wrong and so are all the governments that  mandate or provide for them.

Gambling is never wrong because it is you who gets yourself into trouble and lose everything you had. Just don't gamble if you think that gambling cannot "bring fun" to your family.

It is like saying that guns or knives are evil because you can kill people with them. Yeah right. Gambling has its dark side like every tool that can be misused and exploited by humans in a wrong way,
but it is caused by human stupidity and greed rather than gambling being root of all evil. Stop twisting reality with flawed logic guys.

There are different perspective for different persons because the way they think of things are very different, others think gambling as just for entertainment only, and others think that gambling as instant money that is why all in this thread will argue about this

YEs, if you look at gambling as a medium of entertainment and enjoyment then I also don't think that gambling is wrong. If people are just playing for their entertainment and they are ready to pay for it, they can afford to loose these money then as per me its absolutely fine.
