Depend on policy where do you live. If our goverment forbid gambling, it means that gambling is wrong or you'll got jail if you keep gamble

Gambling is only wrong it it negatively effects your life  Cool

When people got seduce by wealth from gambling, they will do anything for it

Forbidden gambling is very seducing. Grin

Gambling is not wrong in any way.No one is forcing anyone to gamble . it's there choice  if  they  gamble  or  not

If gambling is not wrong and you are telling that, first of all, if you are a gambler your are addicted to gambling. You are another example of the risk that gambling have for the simple people. Being addicted mean not only to lose all your money but even to be convinced that this thing is nothing, is a normal thing and that the fault is not the fault of gambling but of the person that gamble (just like your post). No one forces him to gamble, only his desire.

You forget the psychological power of gamble. Which is used by every owner of gambling things. I hope only that you one day (if a gambler) understand the risk of your conviction and change it. Then quite the gambling.

Yes, Gambling is not totally wrong. If you have just playing for fun, you have good control on yourself and you are not at all addicted towards gambling then I think there should be no problem with Gambling. On other hand if you are addicted towards gambling and you can not afford to loose the money and I would suggest to just stay away from gambling.

I have said this before.  We need to stop blaming the thing people are addicted to on the thing(s) people are addicted to.  People need to accept responsibility for their actions and stop blaming other sources.  Bottom line.

This is completely right in some ways... an alcoholic will say "drinking isn't wrong, I just drink socially" when in reality he's a heavy closet drinker when occasionally having the motivation to go out.  But usually he won't because it cost a lot less to drink at home and you can get a lot more drunk.

Gambling is the same way, where people will say "Oh I have control over my gambling, it's harmless" and every night they spend away all their money on poker or dice or something of the sort.

As Charles Barkley used to say when they accused him that he has a gambling problem: "I don't know why everybody are saying that I have a gambling problem. I can afford it, gambling", he said.

So if you can afford it, it's not wrong. If you piss away your savings and children's school fund then it's definitely wrong!

Gambling isn't what is wrong.  It is people and their addictions that are wrong.  You are never able to blame the person and not the item nowadays.  Even though it isn't the item(gambling/drinking) fault, it is one person couldn't control themselves and we need to start aiming toward having people take care of their own issues.

A wise man once said "It's only wrong if you lose" honestly though the people that think gambling is wrong are the ones that have lost money by it.   The people that have made big bucks from gambling arent going to tell you its wrong. just gamble what u can afford to lose.
and treat it like a game if you win thats great, if you lose no big deal

Yeah, but the problem that people who gamble online or anywhere else for that matter treat gambling like some kind of "right" to win... if they loose, they still have this pipedream fantasy that they are going to end up winning the big "jackpot" prize they have in there head that they are going to win... so they put more money in and keep losing, causing them to really take on a financial loss.

The temptation is the problem, and online gambling gives really easy access to gambling if one is addicted.

Also, if people think that they can win when they go into gambling, they'll try to profit.

people dont like admitting they were wrong and/or made a mistake, of course its natural to deflect. in this case, people often blame casinos for causing them to lose everything when in reality they themselves could have stopped. i cant find the link now, but there was a woman in europe who lost some ridiculous sum of money (6 or 7 figures) and decided to sue the casino for "not stopping her." quite ridiculous.

gambling itself is not wrong. totally depends on yours.

How is possible that gambling is not wrong when it was invented to take money without work? Only the work give money. Because only the work create value. So you give your work and then take the money fro the amount and quality of work you have given. The gambling want money to give money. Or better: want money to take money. This is the reason of existence of those. To earn your money.

Like he said gambling itself is not wrong. totally depends on you or the people who gamble,
Gambling is a difficult issue because if it is done in moderation and only on occasion, it is a waste of money,
but it is not necessarily evil. it is always depend on a person and money is totally the root of all evil!

this is quite funny to say that they blame the casino. but from what i see, most people dont really blame the casino. they lose too much, they will just cry or go crazy but wont go really crazy over the casino etc. maybe they blame the dealer or so. lol.

Haha Madness is not the quite impression about her! she is starting a fiasco! over the casino, maybe she's undergraduate
or just playing dumb about herself, people nowadays kept on accusing someone so he/she can escape from their wrong doing but she has done a total fiasco that will lead her to her loss! Sad

I agree! But ive been playing dice gamd and poker for a week now and
Ive been earning profits but once I start to lose I stop and wait until
I got my cool back.

It is good that you are trying to cool back. Many people if some lose at poker, they head straight for some other game to try to recoup their losses. As usual, they can't stop until lose all money.

There is no right for wrong for gambling. If you treat it as entertainment and do not addict to it, it is like a hobby and enjoyable.

There is no right for wrong for gambling. If you treat it as entertainment and do not addict to it, it is like a hobby and enjoyable.

Ultimately, what differentiates a hobby from an addiction is that hobbies are voluntary. Of course, if you're passionate about your hobby, you may feel compelled to do it, and could even go through “withdrawal” when you have to take a break from your hobby. Hobbies, though, are fulfilling in their own right, not something you do to get a high or because you feel like you must do them to feel normal.
