it's even possible to make a living at it
People make a living only from pvp game like poker. I never see any proffesional dice player or roulette player because they are playing with the house and there is house edge. But with poker they are playing with other player and people could win alot if they know how to do it |

Poker players are able to read each other and bet on their reads rather than bet against the house. This is why they can profit from less experienced players because of their tells. |

There is no right for wrong for gambling. If you treat it as entertainment and do not addict to it, it is like a hobby and enjoyable.
I'm confused with what do you mean gambling is same like hobby. Perhaps, You will feel enjoy when you win but when lose it will make you frustrated Perhaps you can view money you deposit in a casino as being gone already, so if you win all the better, but if you lose you won't feel anything. That way, you won't keep trying to regain your losses while actually losing more. |

Perhaps you can view money you deposit in a casino as being gone already, so if you win all the better, but if you lose you won't feel anything. That way, you won't keep trying to regain your losses while actually losing more.
I actually suggest this few days ago and I think this is how it should be. Once you deposit then you should think it is gone already but if you win then it is good. Just the problem is sometimes after people win, they dont stop but keep going and try to see if they can win more and finally lose everything they has |

If you believe in illusion then you may loose in every where not only in gambling. We should not alter our mind set or predetermined plans for any hype or stress. If you follow your own rules then there are lot of chances to prove that gambling is not at all wrong. |

I don't think I've ever seen someone actually enjoy losing - there are people who are less upset by it - but actually enjoying losing is a different story. If you're gambling you're basically paying for entertainment..... You shouldn't expect anything back(as saying goes, hope for the best, expect the worst), but if you do, congratulations. In the select scenario where you're doing it purely for the profit - then you should definitely expect to make a profit otherwise you'd need to go back and reconsider your strategy. For example, in poker if you're already making steady earnings from smaller stakes tables and moved up to higher stakes and you start losing/earning less you'd definitely want to reconsider. |
