I recently read fivver secured 60 million dollars in funding to implement Bitcoin into their site. So I think your really onto something here. Will be nice to see if you can beat them to the punch on that one! As a freelancer I look forward to joining Bithire. I will keep an eye out for progress. Best of luck! Bitcoin is already implemented in fiverr. It has been implemented for a while now. Just saying.

I would say Bithire should stick with lower fees and also allow tailor made rates. Freelancers always need more outlets of exposure so I do think this project can work well. I would also like to see a little bit of focus on supporting crypto freelancers - the forum is full of fraud devs. BitHire could help build public profiles for legitimate devs and services.

Yes I've also read about poor bitcoin implementation into Fiverr (Search reddit). In all honesty I'd be hoarding HIRE to get people to work for me on the cheap!

If it doesnt work do the same as above (backup wallet.dat and delete everything else in appdata/bithire/) to get the complete chain.

Wallet is working well on my end although I dont have any coin YET. So looking forward to the first word of exchange listing *hint hint*. Good work so far and you have my attention with this one. Will post some stuff on twitter when you guys release and get listed. You would probably benefit from a subreddit too maybe. Depends if there are any people willing to mod etc. Site looks slick btw Hey yeah I noticed that there is no reddit thread, why dnt u consider this OP? Could be a great way to get some attention on this

Oh wow, just read this and I am totally with you. Aside from referrals, there is no other way to completely verify crypto devs and services other than by referral through the community, I guess this platform can really cater to "cryptolancing" in that manner?

Here here! I think "cryptolancing" sounds like a fantastic community to build. But I would still try to merge those outside and inside cypto together. Crypto is still realtively small and growing, freelancers are everywhere. Hopefully the cryptolancers can influence and educate others

60 million dollars to implement Bitcoin backend is really an overkill. I'd rather support something small and home grown in the crypto community as risky as that is.

Well holding any currency is always going to have some speculative value, but being involved early on is always going to be more risky but the rewards can be incredible. I've been around long enough and supported some really huge bloomers.

The problem with fiverr for a freelancer is that there's too much fee involved. It is quite literally 20%. $5 for some work, and you get less than $4 in your pocket. Its outrageous. No wonder there's so much fake content and designers on there.
Also, they really don't spend much time making sure that their designers are verified.
I hope Hire can learn from this because for me as a designer, that is the real downfall of fiverr, otherwise the core idea is really strong.

Just a little look through fiverr logo design and you'll see people from supposedly opposite ends of the world showing identical portfolios.. Hmmmph

Jesus! That is an obscene amount that fiverr take from the freelancer. I definitely wouldn't set up shop there.

If bithire can improve the designers are verified, then I think it stands a better chance of survival. Obviously the crypto advantage is for frictionless payment mobility. I would go as far as saying that I prefer dealing with a digital currency than fiat. Processing fees from visa / card issuer on top of the cut that fiverr take already make it very unattractive. The quality of work obviously goes down when designers aren't incentivised enough with their remuneration.

Jesus! That is an obscene amount that fiverr take from the freelancer. I definitely wouldn't set up shop there. Add on top of that the automatic commission the bank or card will take for converting from your local currency to payment in dollars. That's usually like a fixed transaction fee + a very poor exchange rate. I wonder how designers survive on there honestly. Still, maybe Hire will do things differently, atleast I like the no fee kickstart.

If they work the model like Amazon and just spend every bit of profit back on the site for a while, then they could probably afford to keep the fee really low and attract a large number of users. The other thing is it's got to be really compelling to people who want to just be paid to paypal. On the other hand, they could integrate some kind of internal exchange that lets users cash out btc or hire into fiat but that could be risky on their part.
