I have an old LG Optimus L90 from T-Mobile USA. I have downloaded the Android TX wallet. The Blockchain synced beautifully in less than 2 hours. The wallet loads pretty quick with no lag. I will be working to setup a Masternode in the wallet. I'll update everyone.
You might want to wait for the updated APK. When will it be released next couple of days. infernoman made a lot of edits. I've sent the build to the android developer. So far he has been very quick to provide the builds to us. And has a great response time whenever i've contacted him. I'm thinking he'll send it to me tomorrow sometime. I'll release the APK and also have him update google play. This is the last build he is going to provide for us for this update. He did 4 in total. So i'm very thankful for the help that I've gotten from him. Awsome. Thank you so much.

So i'm very thankful for the help that I've gotten from him. Awsome. Thank you so much. Scratch that. He's quicker than I thought still a few issues to be addressed it seems, but definitely getting better. As always there is room for improvement, Keep in mind i'm using a tablet to do my testing. But I am taking note of everything that I find. Something else I'm interested in adding is the ability to add bitcoin addresses to the address book in your TX wallet, so that your able to use cross send a bit more efficiently without having to copy the bitcoin address from outside of the wallet, if you've used it before. I've got a list already started with some more of the changes that need to be made. This version will be published to google play shortly. As we improve on the base code in the wallet, We will always try to provide GUI updates with them. So the next android release will give us another 3-4 builds to work on the GUI. One of the benefits to having the build environment I spoke about earlier is that - I would be able perfect the GUI since I don't have to worry about paying for the developers time to do the build's since i'd be doing them myself. But in time we'll get it figured out. Either that or give in to him and just purchase the build environment lol. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rg1xte1git7m2s0/transfer.apk?dl=0

I'll be testing out the android wallet on my archaic sony tablet s later if I get a chance. I'm curious as to why it's taking so long to download the blockchain. Maybe maxorphans=XXX could help on the android?

Infernoman coded peers, and i believe since the Android wallet is built with QT, that would be there. He wanted to get as many updates as possible in the new wallet, and downloading the chain was at the top.

The QT on android seems to take a bit longer to download the blockchain. I've done a lot of work to help increase the speed of the blockchain sync but it does still need some addressing for slower devices like the androids, r-pi's and some older PC's. I'm always looking for ways to help increase the speed of the blockchain sync and have done quite a bit to help increase the speeds of the CheckBlock function which verifies the blocks as they are being downloaded. There is a lot going on while the blockchain is downloading and its going to be different on each device based on their speed. At some point you will reach a limit where an increase in cpu speed wont yield a faster sync time. And thats when the blockchain download speed needs to be addressed.

We have a Transfercoin bootstrap for wallets. Great community, hypermist, member in our IRC channel made this for us. Download it from the link below and try it out. https://mega.nz/#!LUsgFADJ!_7XYY7rK-detyQYA6nDrqYoLZFkqtERugV67psQbpIgHow to use it. 1. Download and install the Windows Transfercoin wallet software, run it and then close it. 2.Copy the bootstrap.dat file in the folder \Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Transfercoin 3. Run the Transfercoin wallet software to import most of the blockchain locally and then to download only the rest and synchronize the client. Give us your feedback. Be sure to thank hypermist in IRC with some tips or twitter. @HypermistXEdit. Corrected file path name. Edit: Directions from here: http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/bootstrap-dat/. Not sure if there is anything different that needs to be done. Let me know if so.

I agree. I encourage everyone who has not put in a request at Poloniex yet, to do so. They are delisting 12 coins on February 8, 2016. I found the below in another thread. https://poloniex.com/coinRequestOn 2/8/2016, the following markets will be delisted: CMNT, HIRO, NXTI, XAI, CHA, OPAL, CYC, URO, UIS, HUGE, PRC, JLH. I have been syncing over 10 hours and am still at 16 weeks behind. I have 30 connections but the blocks are coming in so slow. Is there a technique I should try? edit: Just added maxorphanblocks=10000 - Will see if that helps. edit2: ok much faster syncing - you may want to add maxorphanblocks=10000 to the OP transfer.conf?

Sure we can add that to the OP. It will also be coded into the wallets with the next release of wallets. Those will be out February 1st - 3rd. Also Infernoman was testing sync times lastnight with new code. The tests looked good from his end, he is just finalizing some adjustments. Edit: Hypermist said fresh wallets syncing amazingly fast, on his test machine just now. Getting 9.3k blocks in less than 2mins. Not sure why your experience would be different. but I just wanted to followup. As long as your syncing, that is what matters the most to me. Thanks for your continued support pokeytex.
