Has anybody lately tried to withdraw iota off an exchange? Does it still take around a week?

I tried yesterday to send a transaction between 2 of my own adresses, still not confirmed. Does this depend on the amount that is sent?

I tried send to exchange from wallet but to no avail.
Few days ago was made a new wallet  and people says that they fix this problems.
Need to check

I sent IOTA from Bitfinex to my IOTA wallet yersterday. No problem, only 10 minutes between exchange and wallet.

Great! But interesting what about conversely - from wallet to exchange.
But anyway I want to hoDl IOTA, I like this coin ;-)

I kindly help Smiley

Read here the status of the reclaim https://forum.helloiota.com/1242/Reclaim-Status

Last update:

"wait for the new IRI + wallet release (hopefully everything tomorrow), then we will start processing the claims"
-Dom (December 16, 2017)

I’m still waiting on the announcement where devs say they paid user back the tokens they took from them.

When can we expect that news? Then you’ll see a price correction:-)

Read the statement of IOTA a few days ago (section "The Microsoft Issue") and you'll know.

https://blog.iota.org/iotas-data-marketplace-setting-the-record-straight-576fbf0b4513

Month ago i buy IOTA and i'm glad i made it Smiley Who realy know tell me is Microsft in game  with IOTA or not?

Yet another broken promise. Seems like you know, why don’t you elaborate on why no one has been repaid yet? Lots of broken promises by devs. Devs put out a new wallet and it loses people tokens. Devs announce partnerships, which turn out to be announcements of excitement if Iota ever actually becomes something.

Yet nothing is the devs fault. Please remove your head from ass and smell reality. It stinks worse than your own ass, maybe.

I have the new wallet, I am still however waiting on a confirmation to get my IOTA back from a snapshot. I think that this is ridiculous, I am waiting months to try and recover funds - how can this project ever go anywhere?

Don't forget that it was actually your fault to not transition your tokens. There was time to do it and IOTA has informed about the issue well. If you have an investment in a project you should follow the news about it if you care about your investment/money.

IOTA is not that simple tech as the blockchains that is why it needs several steps including two reclaiming phases. Now the team is waiting until more security relevant steps are done before the distribution of the non-transitioned funds are conducted.

If you would follow the information closely you would know this and you would not complain about things which are clear already. And maybe you should be thankful about the slow process. The price has risen sharply. And is still going up. If you would have the tokens earlier, you would have probably sold at much lower prices  Wink

Not the” it’s your fault for investing in Iota” again😀👍🏻  I love the fanboy comments.

Please show me the post where devs announced users where going to have theirtokens lost or stolen if they did not move them. Funny my tokens weren’t safe in my seed, but they are supposedly safe indevs seed. Seem strange to you?

I am looking for another level I can accumulate more IOTA, I know next year will be huge for the company and crypto. The Value of Cryptocurrencies vary very differently from the stock market. Been doing alot of research, in general people who had money in the tech bubble, either have WAY more or went broke. but the people who made it have even more money than ever before, this institutinal money is still not completely seen.

the institutional money will never be seen inside crypto because it's not liquid enough. However now that there BTC futures, they bet on or against BTC without even seeing cryto (which of course if a double edged sword). I think we will soon see a large speculator doing "something" (I hope not a big short)

Try my remote server - http://03.nl.nodes.iota.cafe:14265. If it doesn't work then check if you do a doublespending.

All in all IOTA currently to me is not a system that seems ready for the end user with all the problems of the wallet and the tangle itsself (long transaction times, some transactions never confirm, reattach, promote (looks like a work around by sending a zero transaction as first confirmation?), address reuse, slow buggy wallet).

In the moment I do not dare to move my IOTA off the exchange into the tangle because is seems there is a real risk that the IOTA get lost. Leaving it on an exchange for longer durations is also risky. The only option is selling it for something else.

The single most important first step to send transaction is to check if the server you get connected is synced. The servers are not always synced. To check the synced status, you can compare the two milestone numbers (in the nodeinfo under Tools) in your wallet to the most recent milestone number in the #botbox of the Slack. If all the three numbers are same, your wallet or your server is synced. If they are not same you need either wait for them to be same or change a server.

After you have done the above first step correctly, you can make the transaction. I would say 80% of times your transactions will get confirmed in 30 minutes.

If your trasanction does not get confirmed in 30 minutes, you can do the Promoting (previously called Reattaching). You will see it if clicking the bundle next to the transaction in the History in your wallet. You can do the Promoting once every 30 minutes. But make sure you do the first step to make sure your wallet is synced first every time.

If you do the above steps correctly 99% of your transaction should get confirmed within one Promoting and most will be confirmed without Promoting.

If you have a problem with your windows or android portfolios (IOTA that have disappeared), know that the IOTA team has made available a site to repair your seed and instantly recover your IOTA
https://iotarepair.org

that looks like a phishing site to steal your IOTAs.

The very fact that we have these kind of problems that present the phising opportunities shows IOTA is far from ready. You don't see these in other coins....
