They're struggling to win because they've been used to having kd's offense bail them out most of the time. I don't doubt that they're still contenders, but losing to the underdog raptors took away any cloak of invincibility that they once had. People are now looking more to the lakers, the nets and the mavs. Just around a year ago people are expecting them to be shoo-ins for one of the finals slot. Now it's even steven.

If any other team got Durant and Kyrie together they would have been championship contender whereas nets manage to be at best second round team with them.

That is not just that.

It is a good boost to the confidence of this players.
They got 2 of the best players in the NBA and even though Durant is not playing for this year Kyrie will give a lot of impact for the team.
Brooklyn Nets for this year will be a Kyrie show.

Let us not forget also the winner of the 3 point contest. Joe Harris.
If he can give a lot of space for Kyrie to penetrate the paint (which he is good at) then it will be an easy offense for them.
I am just intrigued on how good their plays will be with their new additions.

Now that Russell who is their all star player has been traded, can Kyrie cover up what he did last season?
Yes Durant will not play this season and it will be focused on Kyrie but can he do it all by himself?
His teammates must step up next season if they want to be a playoff contender team. If they can clinch to the playoffs next season without KD, I'm sure they will be a lost stronger when he plays again.

The young guy will surely contribute to the team no matter what but not to the point he must fill the gaps needs because KD is now gone to Warriors. KD and Russell have a different style and Russell just needs to slowly blend his gameplay on how Warriors play. Yes, chemistry is a must.

As I mentioned here, Russell will be on starting lineup and will take Klay Thompson's spot at the first phase of the season while the latter is still on the recovery period. That's the best time to showcase what he got. He needs to make some big adjustments as his role to Brooklyn Nets is really different once he played for the Warriors.

There are teams that are now studded with good players, despite not being an all-star. LA Lakers has great players now with the addition of AD, they are now the favorite of the next season. Zion is also one of the new bloods that they are looking at now, but for now, I am still looking at Giannis.

It's a good thing they are parting ways without any issue unlike when KD leaves OKC. Now, there are another contender for Finals in East. Let's see if KD can lift Brooklyn all the way to Eastern Finals because pretty sure Warriors still can do it without him. Now East became more unpredictable.

It's a good thing they are parting ways without any issue unlike when KD leaves OKC. Now, there are another contender for Finals in East. Let's see if KD can lift Brooklyn all the way to Eastern Finals because pretty sure Warriors still can do it without him. Now East became more unpredictable.

What he really need by now is to absorb the chemistry that the GSW had. I dont think it is that hard. A lot of players came in and out to that team and they did pretty well.
I am more worried about the switches in defense.
Remember, offense always attack Steph Curry. He shouts on the floor for switches if he is on a mismatch. I guess Russell just need to know about that since offense will be easy for the team.

I am still waiting for one player to sign a contract before I can say that next season is a balanced competition. If Kawhi signed to Lakers, the superteam power will shift to Lakers. Kawhi needs to sign to another team before we can say that there is some balance.

I read on some page that today is the day. We should be hearing his decision soon. Many are expecting him to join the Lakers but they did something that Kahwi might not like. With that said, I think he's not gonna wear that purple and gold.

What we can do right now is to wait till he announced his decision, there's still chances that he might join LeBron and Davis wearing the Lakers jersey, we never know but if he also consider what Raptor's offer to him it will be informed after his final say.

I hate to ruin the fun of all warriors bandwagoners for the past 5 years but this is not the same as 2015 championship. That year you had Harrison Barnes on your small forward, who you gonna have this year? Quintin Cook? I don't think so, that year you had Draymond playing like the best defender on the face of the earth, he is older and much worse right now, that year you had Iggy that literally became the FMVP at the end of the season, you don't have him and he is also very old, Livingston is probably gone or even if he stayed then he is very old.

Basically, all you have is Curry+DLO+Injured Klay+Worse Dray and some bench scrubs. Warriors is not even a contender in my eye this season, they are not making headlines at all, they are not making the finals neither.
