Winning 2 championship is enough to prove that Kawhi is star caliber type of player, actually he can retire now and he will be remembered as one of the best players in the NBA. There are a lot of good players in the NBA, but most of them did not win a championship, this guy won 2 championship and was a Finals MVP on that win.

Agreed. Kawhi is an NBA all star, however, I was asking whether he is on of the greatest of all time list with Michael Jordan, Kobe and Lebron. I do not think he is yet.

How do we know if a player a greatest of all time? Do we have a criteria for that? I think being great is now only based on the number of fans of a player and I believe Leonard does not have a lot of fans since he is kind of quite guy, other NBA star players like to tour around the world after the NBA season, that makes them gain more fan based in different countries.

For the second time around, Dwight Howard has officially signed with the Lakers.

I don't think they'll be looking for anyone else this pre-season. That also means Melo's chances of getting signed is getting lower and lower.

Good for Dwight to play back with the Lakers and show how can he deal and help them inside though same with what others opinions he's not that much addition since AD and McGee is there to fill the position, he can  give some minutes for the rotations and make some good rest for their big man.

In the other side, Melo's chances is really slimming to be signed and play for this season, how there's still team who's considering his service.

I don't think that is it also significant. He is still close to his prime, pre-injury Dwight Howard. And during that time, the game is still dominated around NBA centers that's why there was a lot of expectations from him and Kobe and Nash to deliver another ring for the Lakers.

However, we all know what happen to that team as they lost in the playoffs, 0-4 against San Antonio and that big 3 was disbanded after just a season, could be one of the worst big 3 we have seen.

That's one on his drawback, specially today that big guys are shooting long range. But I think Lakers didn't get him to shoot outside, but more of a defensive presence in the middle and probably some inside pass coming from Lebron. He will score definitely, but under the rim specially if he still have the ability to get those offensive rebounds like he used to.

It is such a bad deal for Dwight that he has to really play well and work hard and listen to whatever he is told, right now he is getting the "Melo-rockets" deal with this, he can be sent in 10 games and never be picked up by any team ever, or he could play here and actually prove that he is still playing decently as a role player. If he goes Melo route and think he worth anything than he will be cut from the team.

Contract is non-guaranteed so if he is cut from the team he will not be getting paid afterwards only until the time he played, normally teams sign guaranteed contracts where player gets money no matter what happens, you can't cut a player or even if you do you still have to pay them, this contract is not like that so Lakers could cut Dwight whenever they want and never have to pay.

Enas kanter is a terrible defender.  Great on the offensive boards but cant be counted on defensively.  He is too loose of a defender to be on a contending team.  Cant give him minutes in crunch time

Nevertheless it is still good news for Lakers Fans out there  . Lakers is one of the favorites to win next season's championship and any news/changes on their roster is a news around the association for now.

@Reid, I have heard/read articles about Dwight's attitude problem or this so called locker room issues, do you think that Lebron could tame this beast? I just remember the time Dennis Rodman comes to Chicago and people question whether he could blend well with Scottie and MJ and it turns out to be positive.

Nah, thank you though. Dont like watching unfair games. They must really change the way rosters are being made with FIBA.
Last it was fun was with Spain only. But look at it now, just watch them recently and it fun too. Veterans from NBA are playing the Spain team while on the USA side they are using the young guns.

Looks like they know it will be those veterans which will play.
Training in different countries should also be hauled over.
Sad thing is there is no budget for it and the government aint focused with sports but rather corruption.
