Do not believe everything you see on practice courts guys, first of all this is training and almost all players hit almost all their shots in training and Howard was a 80%+ free throw shooter in training for a whole off season, so someone shooting well from anywhere is not an indication of how good of a player he is.

For example, check out the training videos of "Jeff Ledbetter" on youtube, dude is a player for Austin spurs in the g-league (g-league team of San Antonio spurs) and in that video you will see that Jeff Ledbetter actually shoots like hell and he never misses and the way he moves, basically dude looks like a superstar NBA player, not even just a regular NBA player, dude looks like a superstar, like above all-star level. But he is not on NBA, why? Because practice is a lot different than the game, and I mean A LOT different.

I agree with this part only but I dont know about the next so I didnt include it anymore.
Remember the story of Michael Jordan. Everyone tells he is different on practice and he is a beast there. Hell, even Magic tells one story about the 360 dunk.
They say MJ when in game is way different. He is like to level down in game.
BJ Armstrong says it may be because of a lot of conversation on the floor. His competitiveness is being tested more while on practice he just thinks normally and that is why he could do great.
Even Phil Jackson testifies about it.

Now with Dwight, I am just hoping he will have that competitive aura again. Just like when he was with Hornets again the 76ers specially Embiid.
He should try doing it more than being a talkative guy on the bench.

Dude you're actually right! Not because somebody is good cutting all the videos that was took so many takes, they are good enough. We never know how many times they took videos off of that. What makes a player even better for my sight is when they play the hardcourt. If they can't showcase on that, they're technically a bust.

If he can develop his shooting at mid range, then that would be his asset for his new team. Furthermore, I don't think he can easily have that shooting touch in a short period of training.

Too late and honestly no need. I have mentioned that before, instead of cross-pathing his skills, then just focus on his main forte' which is defense and doing post-ups in the offense mode. Lakers already have decent shooters around. He can even wait for a LOB. No need to literally improved his mid-range jumper as long as he will try to dominant on his own position.

And during his first season with the Lakers, where we can consider it as his prime, he even gave up the role of being the main man (because of Kobe) and focus instead on defense that's why he became the league leader in rebounding on that year and Lakers even offered him a max contract.

I don't expect the same Dwight Howard today but it doesn't mean he isn't effective. He still has that inside dominance.

Theres always a chance for them to team up. The real question is, can KD play the way he did before the injury? I mean that was a major injury right there, most of the player who had a major injury are struggling for recovery and might end up in an early retirement.

That's not good, KD already had Irving and if he comes back playing his old self, they had a chance to win championships.
KD leave Warriors because he don't want to play with a superteam, he wanted to prove again in another team and Him and Irving are like Lebron and Irving in the Cleveland days and I think Durant is even better.

That is if KD is the same KD we used to know during his GSW days. I think after his rehab in his injury, KD will never be the same as he was. Like most players suffered the same injury as he acquired now, their skills drops drastically and it would be what KD will be. Though he will still be a superstar but not like what he is at his peak.

Maybe yes he won't be the same, but also Kawhi suffered before but happened to came back stronger, it's a love from the game and the passion that he will continue playing the same intensity that he have way back, KD is one of those prime player from the league and having him back with the same types of athletic attitude will keep him as one of the best that the sports ever have.

Correct me if Im wrong, but I guess Kawhi's injury is different from Durant's. And talking about passion, have you seen how young players before like Andrew Bynum, Greg Oden, and even Derrick Rose, they are all struggling to play the way they play before the injury, but the passion is always there, its just that their body recieved too much injury.

I have noticed that Shaq for unknown reasons, doesn't like Dwight. I don't know where the beef come from, seen in the past that Shaq was really on the offensive with Howard. The Shaq and Kobe is over though, they are both retire and enjoying their life.

That's a good analysis, Westbrook and Harden are both a ball hogger but Melo is also one of them, so he needs to change though.
Irving on the other hand is just a mild ball hogger, he loves to hold the ball, drive the ball, then pass, but if that ball will goes to Melo, that would be hard for him as he is not a type of player who shoots quickly, he loves to dribble the ball first, post up, then turn around or just fade away.

Anyway, let's just see what will happen, but I hope Melo will improve and learn from his mistakes in the past.

Definitely Melo can be a big addition to the Nets. But as you have said, he needs to understand his role now. He is no longer the Melo the scorer and he needs to adjust him game to fit with the Nets style. Yes, one year contract seems to be fair or even 10 days agreement. And then it's going to be a wait and see. Just like what Houston did last year, giving him chance to play, however, he was cut off by the team early in the season.

It's a good addition while Kyrie taking incharge there's another veteran who can lift up the competitive spirit of the entire team, hope he get this and have him another chance to play again, there's always a good time for a star who's passion is to entertain the fans, one year contract might be enough whether he deserves to comeback and redeem himself and play.

Yes, looks like that is the purpose.
The choices are: Melo, Joe Johnson,  Jamal Crawford and JR Smith.
Yes, I will go with Melo or Jamal for some veteran insights. But they have Kyrie already so that is settled.

Now the question will be, will Melo adapt to the kind of game Kyrie have and the youngsters of Brooklyn.
Yes he is a veteran buy he had some bad reputation that had been spread wirh players.
I just hope this doesnt get in the way.

No man, melo is just another star that have a dieing light. Melo is not playing for a championship but he only plays for money and that is why he cannot get a shot for a championship. Not even once.

Personally, I also like the Kyrie/Melo tag team as replacement for Kyrie/KD. I don't expect Melo to get a good contract like he used to either but I don't think he will mind that as long as he plays.

From what I've heard, the Knicks held a private/unofficial 5v5 workouts yesterday and Melo took part in those. I'd rather not see him again playing for the Knicks and that prick of an owner Dolan is.
