Last season, Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks didn't make it to the playoffs so there will be a struggle I think in the 5th to 8th spot for Miami Heat. So I think the chance of taking the 2 spot will now be taken from this team. Miami Heat must maintained good record and try to outshine the other East team especially the New Orleans Hornets, Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks and the Indiana Pacers. Well the top 2 maybe Cavs and Raptors again. I see East teams that will make a sure spot for the Playoffs are: Cleveland Cavaliers - No doubt Toronto Raptors - No doubt Chicago Bulls - With the acquiring of Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondo and Isaiah Canaan, Bulls phase will be more on running now. Alongside Jimmy Butler on the perimeter. Atlanta Hawks - The Hawks led the league in opponents’ field goal percentage last season. And now they acquired Dwight Howard, no doubt a good addition in the paint. Detroit Pistons - Many teams surprised with the new Pistons. Also their starting five averaged in double figures last season. Indiana Pacers - Just need more help from Paul George's teammates. Boston Celtics - Yeah Isaiah Tomas. Also they signed Al Horford, one of the three player in the league last season who has a monster stats. New York Knics - Carmelo Anthony + Derrick Rose tandem.

Golden State is going to shine again this season. Durant is every teams wanted due to his non greedy way of playing. By the way Melo unless he understand team work can't get a ring forever.

if rose can make melo realized that, i think the three scorers can make some difference for new york , Porzingis should have much more exposure and should hold the ball more than melo and rose that way if Porzingis will have the two super stars to play as back up they will make it to play off for sure.

The coach must make some adjustment regarding offense on Melo. They must play as a team. Porzingris has a lot of potential, he can score outside for a bigman and also can play a great defense.

The mediocrity of the New York Knicks of recent times have made me reminisce about their team in the late 90's composed of Larry Johnson, Allan Houston, Latrell Sprewell, Marcus Camby, Charlie Ward, Chris Childs and company. This team made it all the way to the Finals only to lose to the Spurs in a short series. They were involved in a lot of heated battles with their bitter rivals, the Miami Heat with Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway and the rest of the guys. Makes me wonder if I'd ever see a Knicks team that has a winning attitude.

All your prediction is good and I think they will all go to the playoffs, the question now is, who is going to face the cavaliers in the east finals, it was already given that the cavaliers will be able to advance easily. Well I can't give you an accurate prediction to that as some of the teams I mentioned will surely have a new gameplay e.g. Knicks, Bulls.
Another aged player will be back on the lineup of the Los Angeles Lakers and that is the former Ron Artest, Metta World Peace. Looks like Lakers lineup will not be a fully young roster. But anyways a young rosters needs at least a good advices from the veteran one. And I think MWP's playing time will be minimized to give way to those youngsters.

Ron Artest should be given enough minutes to make the game entertaining, I like the way he plays because he is so physical and that makes his teammates to be inspired and will play as hard as they can, they have a lot to prove this season because they cannot make excuses anymore that Kobe just ruin the game.

This is it, Kevin Garnet now hanging his jersey after 21 season. The Big Ticket is one of the loyal players I have seen in the league because he just left his first team Minnesota Timberwolves after decades due to frustration about what is happening on this team. He carry Timberwolves many times and even bring this team in the Western Conference finals which is unusual. Kevin Garnett Says 'Farewell' After 21 Seasons In The Nba

Yeah when we talk about Ron Artest it's really a physical one and even in Metta World Peace still he's physical.

The way he played does not change though he change his name and that's what we miss as NBA Fanatic. On the other hand, I am glad garnett have retired already because he needs to, he has been an inspiration for the new generation of players and hopefully the T Wolves squad can give garnett their gift by entering the playoffs this season.

His emotions when he makes shot really pumps the whole team and the fans as well. I'm Kobe fan but when they met in the finals, i thought to my self that whoever wins I will still be happy.

Kevin Garnett was the reason I played power forward and why I become a fan of The Wolves having nicknames such as The Kid to The Big Ticket ans sometimes called The Franchise can really make a ring to your head and also the Reason why there is a lockout for the first time. KG proved the haters that he was the best in 95' even though he is a High School player. Thank You KG for the Legacy and thank you for mentoring Karl Anthony Towns on your last season. KAT will be the next KG.

Howard won't. It's just his prime is over. He lost the moves, the durability, and the drive. He ain't that beast of a center anymore.
agree with you mate even he's still young like lebron but the skills and the dominance already been past, he cant deliver anymore but let see how he will make this season, star always shines when its needed. I love to see howard take back his pride, and I hope he will do that this season and will not just stay soft again. This guys has been so good before but when he has been receiving good amount he does not make any effort like he did when he was still proving himself. He is in NBA just for the money now. I do not think his play will go back to that intense when he was still proving himself. I think he just want to play as long as possible to get as much cash as possible from NBA as he can. It is just longevity and cash now.

If Howard focus on maxing his salary then the team who agrees with it won't give hime a good team mates, don't get me wrong with this one but 2 superstars in the first five are not enough for a team to win the finals its just enough to get into the playoffs. Look at Kevin Durant he sacrifice his pay just to get into a good team.

Howard must play like an MVP type this season so he can attract a great player to join next season. If Teague was still in Hawks maybe they can play great.

I honestly didn't like KG in his last few years in the NBA, acting like an immature bully because he can't win anymore. I liked him in his days with Minnesota and his first year with Boston. Lebron was criticized before for being a sore loser to the Orlando Magic. But Garnett is an even bigger loser than him.
