LeBron James will re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a three-year, $100 million maximum contract, league sources said, and the three-time NBA champion also pressured the Cavs to finalize a deal to keep free agent J.R. Smith.

That's more than $33 million a year, fellas. Does that make him the highest paid player now? If so, he richly deserves it and more.

Also LeBron James is pressuring the Cleveland Cavaliers front office to get J.R. paid and signed. Same thing like Thompson. J.R. Smith's agent is LeBron James. I mean, at this point you can't really argue with anyone about it since he just won the title for Cleveland, in like 52 years.

He can do whatever he likes and his demand should be given by the management as he is in the position now to do that. Lebron feels he is the best player in the world, and we have witness in the past that because of him blatt was fired, so he is a special guy for the cavaliers.
JR Smith situation can go one of two ways. He can either use the chip as motivation to carry on playing well, which basically just means putting effort into defense. Or he can let the chip get to his head and go back to his chemistry killing days. I've known and seen headcases like JR all the time, and I see the latter happening.

I believe JR will stay in the cleveland cavaliers because lebron will get what he wants, he is the superstar of the team and he make history with his team now, so I think the pressure is on the cavaliers management how to handle the demand of lebron james.

JR Smith is demanding a higher salary. There is also a rumor that the other teams are offering him what he wants like the Lakers. We will see this coming days if he will return to the Cavaliers.

When you are a champion team as much as possible you do not remove a good line up because that would affect the chemistry of the team considering that JR smith is one of the starters, it could be some major adjustment if he will transfer to the other team.

I dont think jr smith is worth the money he wants. He is lucky he gets to gravy train rings and play with the best in the world and a great point guard. I hope they release/trade him cause its not hard to find someone who will take a stack of money to play with lebron

also Mike Conley Jr. Is no where near Lebrons ability to impact a game yet he will be paid like he does so. Lebron should be getting over 50 million a season and most likely would be if the NBA had no cap like the MLB. If you think NBA contracts are ridiculous go look at what a-rod is making at 41 years old

In the NBA you need cap space to balance the team, to stop the teams to creat super super teams. If thats happen that would be boring to watch and bet. Because you already know whos gonna win.

That can be happen but also it may got a good effect on them since it's really exciting to see the super team in action and how they execute in the hardcourt, and i also think provably many teams will gonna try their very best since this season will be their toughest season will gonna happen since we really notice that each team are shuffling their rooster to get more high skilled addition to lift and maybe win some champ.

I dont think jr smith is worth the money he wants. He is lucky he gets to gravy train rings and play with the best in the world and a great point guard. I hope they release/trade him cause its not hard to find someone who will take a stack of money to play with lebron
and kyrie
also Mike Conley Jr.

I think we cannot blame the NBA on that since that is the players decision on what team they will join, of course you will find it boring when you want to see some actions on both teams because one team could be more superior but in betting, there are no problem with that because the odds will surely justify.

My point is he has so much value to the league, he doesn't have to worry about what other teams are doing cap-wise at any given point in free agency. He is not in a position where he needs to play one team against another in a competitive bid style free agency. His value is far beyond that. How do you not see it? And what does ego have to do with it? That doesn't even make sense. LeBron is eligible for 35% of the cap. Westbrook and Durant are only eligible for 30%. The NBA max salary system doesn't have much room for ego. Players who would be paid more than the maximum allows if there were no maximum are limited to much less than their egos would demand, no matter how huge their egos might be.

Lebron will always delivers even if he will not be given the max salary, it is not only the salary that is important for this guy because he wants to build legacy like he is going now in that path, durant and westbrook is too inferior than Lebron James as of this moment.

What do you guys think of the Los Angeles Lakers this season? How are they going to perform with a not so spectacular line up? With the projected starting five of Mozgov, Randle, Deng, Clarkson and Russell, how do you think are they going to fare against other teams? Will they be any better this season? How are they going to utilize the talents of their top pick, Ingram?

JR Swish Is Better Than Klay Thompson
JR is an absolute beast on catch-and-shoot situations. I don't know if he's better than Klay at it, but he's one of the best in the league.

Because of the Cavs' star-power, JR's game gets lost in the shuffle a lot of times. He's a great 4th/5th option in any offensive system, great natural athlete, and an underrated defender.

Jr smith plays for now are very lame he is hitting only the baskets when he is firing up but if not he's nothing in the court and i really see many times that hes game is flop maybe he feels his age thats why he dont have he's shooting touch just like before, but on the other hand the team can really rely him when on those crucial time of the game because he can deliver those deadly three point shoot, and comparing him to klay? I dont think so klay is young and he have very high potential to belong to high scoring person on nba history.

Thunder another signing to help fill out the roster. I really like the
free agents they have picked up.

This is from nba.com and a solid little back up

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder signed guard Ronnie Price, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Price (6-2, 190), spent last season with Phoenix appearing in 62 games (18 starts), averaging career-bests in points (5.3), assists (2.4), rebounds (1.6), steals (1.19) and minutes played (19.5). An 11-year NBA veteran, undrafted out Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University), Price has appeared in 530 games (73 starts) with Sacramento, Utah, Phoenix, Portland, Orlando and L.A. Lakers, averaging 3.8 points, 1.8 assists 1.2 rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game.

I hope this guy would help but I really do not think he has the superstar skills to back up westbrook when he will be having a bad game, maybe let's just see in the coming season but I believe there are no major acquisition yet for the thunder.

I believe he will just be the third (even fourth) option in the point guard position. They have Cameron Payne, who they say has vastly improved this offseason, to back Westbrook up, and Victor Oladipo can also play both positions. They might play a lot of small ball because even their big men can also run because of their athletic abilities (i.e. Steven Adams and Al Horford).

Hello Guys Off topic about "2016/17 NBA Off-Season".

Hmmm You guys realize that Shaq is the 4th best center to ever play the game of basketball?

Kareem Abdul Jabar, Wilt, Bill, & Shaq? 5th if you wanna count Duncan as a center
Most dominant? How can you be the most dominant and not be the best at your respective position...

I cant say he is the 4th best center but rather for me he is in the top 4 best center in the NBA. Duncan for me is not a center, and for me he is the best power forward in the NBA.

Most dominant? How can you be the most dominant and not be the best at your respective position...

I never saw Wilt  and Bill play but from what I understand he played with short
slow white guys and had little to no competition around the rim so very
difficult to judge.

I would put Kareem first then Shaq. I definitely respect history but its difficult to judge
when they played against garbage players.
