I saw Innah post that Carmelo Anthony would sign with the Houston Rockets but it is verbally. For me I think it would be a great thing but the chemistry between those star players like harden would be hard to come by. Maybe they have a chance if that happened.

Can we say whoever wins the West will win the Finals.
Ahmmm. I guess we can say that. Most of the teams on the Western Conference have their powerhouse and made their roster upgrade pretty well. Just because of few transfers, we are now underestimating the East. Kind of agree to the statement above but it's not underestimating. It's just that we are taking the scene into reality. " FOR NOW" if no teams in the East will have at least a major revamp in their roster then it's more likely that a West team again will bring home the champ. Remember that LeBron James team never dethroned in Eastern Conference Finals for 8 consecutive years (yes with the help of his teammates but he is the most dominant) and struggles at some point against the Western Conference champion during finals. And now that he's on the West, Eastern contender might be a question for now. Yes there are young teams that gaves Lebron a headache but still I don't see them will take a chance against the monster on the West especially at the current champion. Again, it's not a final verdict. Ball is round and everything can happened.

The thing is, here's a simple fact, Cavaliers(Lebron) dominated East teams, while Warriors dominated Cavaliers(Lebron), in short West are dominating the East.

I think the league should seriously consider moving the 3 point line back further. NBA games have become a 3 point shooting contest with a serious lack of inside play. There is practically no mid range game anymore.

There is still trading that happens before the All Star and that could also make a difference. I want to see more of Philly. This team made a huge impact in the Eastern Conference. Also Phoenix Suns might do some changes with their roster without moving their new stars. How about Boston? They are full of injured players. Looks like it is going to be a hard fight for them. Kyrie with knee injury. But now at camp hoping to be 100 percent. Marcus Smart who forced to play in playoffs even with straps in his hands. Hayward is also doing some work by now.

From what I see, Celtics will be the most dominant team in the East next season. Celtics performance to all their meetups against GSW and Rockets last season are closed match and they managed to win each of them. They really gave this top 2 teams in the West a hard time winning. But that is just a season and we all know that teams are different during playoffs especially on what we see in action of GSW and Rockets. About Toronto Raptors, I still can't see if they will become an Eastern contender even now with Kawhi Leonard but who knows if he can bring changed to this team. Im also expecting that Philadelphia 76ers will be more of a deadly team as Joel Embiid is eyeing the Season MVP. For this to acquired, he must become more aggressive in getting stats. And don't forget the Milwaukee Bucks. They managed to bring the series to Game 7 against the Boston Celtics even they are downed by 0-2. But after this long writing, still I can't see each of them will matched the powerhouse Golden State Warriors or Houston Rockets for now. Again "for now".

I'm with you, it's actually more fun to witness a physical games than just a less effort 3 point shooting. I miss the old days, even though the warriors are champions now but I don't like the way they dominated their opponents.

I agree, since there are alots of players that can actually shoot a little further away from the 3 point line and taller guys are even shooting 3-pointers now. Shaq has been saying that the NBA today is pretty much boring because players lack aggressiveness when it comes to shooting inside

I hope that those big guys are not being forced by the team to go for the three because its going to be awkward. I mean you are getting out of your comfort zone and you are not used to firing 3's but instead wants to go inside and be physical and battle for the loose ball. Shaq is one of the last true great centers we gonna see in our era. Unless someone comes along and became as dominant as he is, the game will be played and won by the team with the most 3 point shot.

Bucks? Hmm. Antentokoumpo seems to have a bad game when the playoffs came. Is it a rat or what? He seems nervous and out of himself. Sorry, but that is how I see it when I watched him during the playoffs. For him to proceed to the 2nd round and maybe the finals he really need to up his games. Cut the errors, specially catching the ball. The alley oops are also not there anymore. Is it the defense or he is too occupied thinking about how to win. He really lose it there.

A big that can shoot the three will always be am asset to any team and i don't think the solution would be to push back the three point line further. Calls are just too soft these days so that tells you why physicality is lacking. I think they should lay back on handchecks and simple touch fouls.

He is always an aggressive type of player during the early phase of each game against Celtics last playoffs but I noticed that he lacks of power once the game will come to near end or during the last minute. His playoffs stats is impressive. Not just him but also his teammates e.g Middleton, Bledsoe etc. Honestly I never thought they will bring the game to Game 7 against the much dominant Boston Celtics. I think if ever they don't faced this team during the first round, they have a chance enter 2nd round. This is one the "issues" I see in the NBA right now. May we know the names of these big guys you are pointing that were forced by their team to go for threes? I miss the old days, even though the warriors are champions now but I don't like the way they dominated their opponents.
Golden State Warriors doesn't have a good and dominant big man throughout years. Especially during Curry's arrival. You want them to go physical with their soft and small lineup? lol. Other teams as well are like that. Blame other teams why Warriors became dominated in the league right now. You guys just noticed it because today's NBA doesn't have now (or lacking) a center like Shaq, Duncan, Wallace etc. Wait for the upcoming seasons and hope that someone will enter the NBA draft with that kind of built.

Lol. Interesting argument. Maybe keep the line there and have a 4 point line? Lmao Actually that thought of a 4 point play has been circulating in the NBA for quite sometime now. ( https://www.complex.com/sports/2017/03/adam-silver-talks-to-chris-paul-might-add-10-point-shot-to-all-star-game) But I don't know, it looks like the team that will benefit it more is the Warriors with Curry, Thompson and Durant. And to they think its going to add competitiveness in the game? I don't think so. Personally, 3 point is enough to make the game very exciting specially in the dying minutes wherein the team really needs to make a 3 to tie or even take a lead. IMHO

That's true. The West have small line ups. I guess it is Embiid now and Anthony Davis who are the dominating centers. There is more but they are still young. Need more experience. Forwards though are making a big leap into being a forward and also a center. They want speed now and they are creating better shots by doing that. Taking the ball thru fastbreaks and Centers cannot go with the pace. If that is the case they will be the one pulling the team down. But in level of offense they could also dominate if they are against a small team. It is a weakness and also a strength.

Let's see if there's a new coaching style who will bring center to dominate the inside game, and not to relied with their 3 points shooters, things where Olajuwon, Shaq and Duncan before.

Anyway, we can't blame them because of how Coach Kerr are coaching them. I hope there is a coach who will coach his players to dominate inside not outside but I doubt there is one who will do that for me.

The warriors just destroy the good image of basketball, it's not a physical game anymore, players are so soft nowadays.
