But who is really on the trend now? The 44th draft pick for the Miami Heat and then traded to Denver. Bol Manute Bol. Let us see what this big guy can do in NBA. Will he surpass his father?!
I knew it, I remember the surname Bol as a tall NBA players in the past, I saw some highlights from this center but I don't think his son will be better than him, but anyway that's remain to be seen, I just don't see the body and his height is just 7′ 2″, we have that height in the NBA with bigger body. The era of his father is different so it's possible that he can surpass him. There's a lot of leg room for the younger one to develop his NBA career so let's see what he can offer to us, specially with that height. He can be a good big man shooting the ball outside to help Denver to confuse the opposing team. Good analysis. Indeed it is a different era now. Any tall player who can shoot the ball in perimeter or the 3 point line will be worth the minutes in game. That is how GSW plays are made although they are not tall but they have shooters confusing the defense. If he can also do post up, it will be better. Just like what Jokic is doing. Post up then wait for the play to ripen to get a better percentage shot. Big guys who have a greater range of seeing the whole floor can do this. Rumors are out there and it looks like Lakers are looking for a center. DeAndre Jordan or Vucevic are their options. Another rumor is D’Angelo Russell is interested again to sign with Lakers since Magic is not there anymore.

Let's leave trade talks at the moment. What do you guys think of the new bloods next season? Pelicians became an interesting team again after selecting Zion as their first pick. Interesting young line up with that team. Nuggets also got a big young man in bol bol.
The trade talks plus this new players are spicing things up even more. If the nuggets can keep their team intact for the next season, they may reach the west finals. The Pelicians may look exciting with their young and athletic team but I think they'll fall short and not rrach playoffs. Experience does matter and only good teams that performs or plays well do have that chance on getting some slot on the playoffs. Next season would really be an interesting one because we would see these young players which do have actually the talents that are really capable. They are all talented and so amazing players! even they are young players next season is more interesting to watch as always.

Unless the Nets signs Kyrie then he has no space in the Nets rosters so it will be interesting if he suits up to team up with Lebron and AD. How about JJ Redick though? I think Lakers, if given the chance should pursue him as threat to the outside.

They should get a good guard with good shooting %, probably D'Angelo might fit the bill for them, so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to the Lakers next season. I'm sure he will be elated to have a chance to play with those two to chase a ring.

They can acquired Kyrie while keeping Russell on the lineup. However, they can get more role players if they will market Russell. No doubt, this guy's value (not with the money) became worth more following his first time All-Star appearance and spectacular performance throughout the season and playoff.

Free agents and new players, another season, another champion?

It will not fit if both Kyrie and Russell played together as we will see another Harden and Paul in the same team, it's hard to make a good combo if both players have the capabilities to lift the team in their shoulders, remember how Kobe and Eddie Jones was as Lakers needed to trade up Jones for Kobe to work out and give it's best bringing his game to the next level. Russell should be teamed up where he can showcase his full talents, trade rumors still ongoing so anything can happen.

But we all know that Kyrie won't go to Lakers because of Lebron. So if Russell is more willing to sacrifice salary wise but given more time to play it is a good risk on his end. And then get some role players that can provide good 10-15 minutes not just in offense but also in defense will be a good combination. So let's see how Lakers are going to build the team around Lebron and AD and some B-players that can deliver.

If ever Lakers want Russell then they need AD to take waive that $4m trade kicker in his contract. But I bet he wont. He is not type to surrender that amount just so to win one NBA Finals. They will be short in cap space if they force Russell with them and what's left is little amount to get trash player as their 2nd stringers. Kawhi Leonard though turned down his 2019-20 player option and is now UFA. This is going to be a crazy year of trades.

Just only a few hours to go before the live telecast of the 2019 NBA Award. A recap for awards finalists: Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks Paul George, Oklahoma City Thunder James Harden, Houston Rockets
Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Deandre Ayton, Phoenix Suns Luka Dončić, Dallas Mavericks Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks
Kia NBA Sixth Man Award Montrezl Harrell, LA Clippers Domantas Sabonis, Indiana Pacers Lou Williams, LA Clippers
Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks Paul George, Oklahoma City Thunder Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz
Kia NBA Most Improved Player De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings D’Angelo Russell, Brooklyn Nets Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors
NBA Coach of the Year Mike Budenholzer, Milwaukee Bucks Michael Malone, Denver Nuggets Doc Rivers, LA Clippers
Looks like James Harden and Lou Williams has a chance to nailed it down again (Harden won MVP last year and Williams won the 6th man award).Coach of the Year will be tough or should I say I will remove Doc Rivers. Bucks no doubt have a great big change this 2019 season but they are also performing well last year. Nuggets, on the other hand, came from the bottom and surprised everyone with much more big changes. Who's your bet.

Wow it's nice to see that Giannis has been nominated for two categories even just for one category I'd like him to see get the award any of the two but being part of the finalist is already a great achievement for him. How about the rookie of the year? I'm sure that many are eyeing for Luka Doncic.

I do somehow anticipated that Giannis would really get some no. of categories. He's worthy with those awards and it isnt questionable when we do talk about his performance which we do see on our very own eyes and it is really a very good achievement.
What excites me on next season is the young players + new rosters.Love to see on which team will take the top spot and also does Lakers is capable now? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I'm also trying to check online if the information already available, but still there's nothing to be found, still needs to wait until further announcement both Harden and Giannis got a good chance bringing the award. Last season's performance showed how this players deserved the awards and be part of the candidates.

Last season's performance showed how this players deserved the awards and be part of the candidates. I guess it will be announce today, it's possible that there's a close competition between the two that's why they have to carefully tally the points. I guess Harden will get this one, just not sure, either of the two, it's a well deserved.

I'm also trying to check online if the information already available, but still there's nothing to be found, still needs to wait until further announcement both Harden and Giannis got a good chance bringing the award. Last season's performance showed how this players deserved the awards and be part of the candidates. I guess it will be announce today, it's possible that there's a close competition between the two that's why they have to carefully tally the points. I guess Harden will get this one, just not sure, either of the two, it's a well deserved. It's Giannis who won the Kia NBA MVP https://twitter.com/NBACongrats, I thought it's gonna be James Harden again, Lol, but Giannis deserves it though, powering his team to the ECF and just fell short to the eventual NBA champion Toronto Raptors.

Thanks for delivering that fresh news. I was wrong with my prediction but congrats to Giannis he deserve this win, and at least he got his first MVP award and I hope he will continue to improve so they will reach the NBA Finals next season.

Lakers are always idiotic when it comes to financial management, they always fail at cap calculations and that has been a thing ever since Kobe was alone and playing there without getting any decent help until they got Odom and Gasol.
Now, they got Lebron and AD which I am quite happy because AD is young and can stay here for a long time but Lebron is old and unless they find some 3&D players quickly they are not going to content at all. This is the year they need to contend and if they do not get anyone specific for Lebrons needs they are not going to win anything, with Paul and harden fighting and getting older plus that many injuries in warriors, if Lakers can get some good shooters around Lebron and even semi-good defenders they have a shot at the title right away, without them there is no way they make it to conference finals.

As I mentioned earlier both contenders really show how great they are last season and whoever the winner he really deserve the award, Congrats to Giannis this young star still have a lots to show and with his physical condition right now he can achieved more. Without lebron in the east and Leonard ain't sure to stay with Barney, Bucks have a good chance just keep improving.
