Don't get too discourage mate, don't worry, none of these two will win the NBA championship, it's going to be the Clippers who will win the NBA championship this season. This is where Leonard will step up when they are underestimated as a team, Rondo will help him. Well, that's a pretty optimistic prediction. I'd love to see Kawhi get his third ring but last time I checked they choke hard on play-offs. I don't know if they can go to finals, bench looks a little weak. If something happen to Kawhi or George they would be out of discussion immediately.

I hope none of that will happen, probably it was a coaching problem in the past, they now have a new coach and added Rondo, I think that is good enough to call Clippers a championship too. Maybe all eyes are now on the Nets and Lakers but once playoffs starts, I expect the Clippers to be a surprise, in a positive way.

We don't know how this season will ends up and who will be the crown champ. Superteams are being build up both from East and West, though it's very predictable in terms of stats and with the line up that now being created. I also eyeing for Nets and Lakers though

But also don't underestimate the bench since they have decent line up + rondo the true point guard just been added to them so for this they really get a good shot to finals.

Will this be a Nets Vs. Lakers in the NBA Finals?? An All-star player that is a double-double machine, an All-Star player that can rebound, pass and score and another All-Star player that can be a big help for them inside and outside, will this be enough to beat the Nets? We know the current roster of Nets right now and they are a championship caliber no doubt and they got stronger with Aldrige on the roster. I just hope that LeBron and Davis will be healthy all through out the rest of the season and in the playoffs to have a chance for a 2-time championship. If the Nets can keep their roster healthy, they are the sure champion in the East IMO. The Lakers, even with the addition of Drummond is not sure of a final slot as the Jazz and Clippers could give them a good fight. Lebron and AD are injury prone and if either of them will get injured prior the playoffs then they are out. Lebron's injury is not serious, he just need to rest and he will be back again, but Davis, I think he could be prone to injury and that is bad, however even with a healthy Lebron and Drummond, however, on the other side, if Durant or Irving will be injured, I think a healthy Lakers has a good chance of beating them, and even other teams in the East like Sixers, Bucks, Celtics and even Heat.

Andre Drummond is now officially a Laker!
Had to make sure I was the first one to break the news this time. Finally, the Lakers have a true center and will most certainly make for some NBA Finals competition! I’m excited. Great day for Lakers fans and the NBA!
Great news. We will just need to wait for Davis and Lebron to come back. Once they did, they might make it again at the top.
For those worried if your supported teams are at the 10th or 9th rank, don't be. There will be a play-in tournament again just like last year. https://www.nba.com/news/nba-play-in-tournament

Is this final? I thought that this is still a rumor. But anyway, looks like the Nets are getting stronger in their force and really serious in taking this seasons ring.
Exciting.
Yeah, it's final because NBA already posted a report on the official site about it. Aldridge is going to sign a 1-year contract with the Nets. On paper, the Nets(All-star) roster will be unbelievable and unstoppable, and I'll be excited to see them in action in the playoffs. It seems that the Nets are going to take the ring this time. That was an unexpected transfer from Aldridge. A big man with the others that can really contribute pretty well to the team. This is a superteam and I think most will agree to that or I'm just hyped on it or all of us were. 😁 Like the Lakers last season... That's how you know the champions. No work, No luck. But Lakers isn't going to let them just snatch it away. --> https://nba.nbcsports.com/2021/03/29/three-things-to-know-does-aldridge-to-nets-drummond-to-lakers-move-championship-needle/

The Nets and Lakers literally did nothing. If the Nets didn't have the players you think Blake and Aldridge sign with the nets no. Its disappointing that the players want to form "super teams". The only thing it intrigues is superficial fans not actual fans. I know for a fact Nets will win the East so long as everyone is healthy...what is fun about that. Players today are soft...they need a super team to go for a championship instead of getting there on their own. As a knick fan I HOPE they never go this route. I'd rather them be terrible for 20 more years than to just get the NBA all nba team on their team and win a chip..but maybe thats just me
You have to consider, why though? I mean Lakers right before Lebron came in (and even on his first year) were a terrible team that kept missing playoffs back to back for the longest time in its history, and then they got players and they won championship on the first playoff run in a long time, you have to realize that it's a big deal. Nets on the other hand got two superstars and traded for a third one and now they are stacked. You may think that players built those teams, AD wanting to go to Lakers, Harden pushing for Nets trade, Irving and Durant getting together on Nets deal. These may all look like things that players did and teams just got lucky but you have to realize in order to get these players teams would have to be good as well, not the roster but the front office, if you can pull these off you are actually doing something remarkable, why not Suns? Why not Kings? Look at clippers, they got Kawhi and PG13 and some other good players but lost to Denver. So, it's not as easy as it sounds.

Why not Kings? Look at clippers, they got Kawhi and PG13 and some other good players but lost to Denver. So, it's not as easy as it sounds. Exactly this. Both the Lakers and the Nets put themselves in the position to sign a big star by building a good and prospect-laden team with cap space. That's a really tough ask. The Nets achieved this without draft picks, which is double impressive. One man's junk is another man's Joe Harris or Spencer Dinwiddie. The Lakers had a few really great drafts, getting solid players both at the top (Ingram, Randle, Russell) and the back end (Kuzma, Clarkson, Nance Jr, Zubac) of the draft. Their cap space did not magically appear, they needed to trade away assets to get it - but they still had enough to entice LeBron and swing a trade for AD. They didn't get their second star for free - gave up Ingram, Ball, Hart, the 4th pick, two other first round picks and a pick swap. Seriously, that's a king's ransom, not some discount market play. I guess it's easier to whine than to take a long look at the decisions made by other front offices. Speaking of which, the Clippers will be paying Marcus Morris 16-17m till he's 35. No idea if we'll get a rewind of the 2002 finals. Philly is extremely dangerous at full strength, Milwaukee too and it remains to be seen if Brooklyn can stay healthy and defend at a good enough level in the playoffs. In the West Utah is an extremely well functioning machine, Denver is dangerous and maybe the Clippers can get it together in some way shape or form.

Lamarcus Aldridge to Brooklyn Nets and Andre Drummond to Los Angeles Lakers. Two big transfers in one day from East and West. We know this seasons finals already, Nets vs. Lakers it's obvious. I'm against superteams in NBA, it kills competition. Why would I watch regular season and play-offs now? Salary cap used to have a meaning, now whole organisation is a joke.
What is funny is that this two are not even veterans. Griffin was just 32 years old and Drummond is only 27 years old. they should be at their peak. And each of them salary should be at least $10 million per season.

It wasn't just Lebron who made this team a playoff team again, he also owned that to Anthony Davis as he was really the one who are putting a lot of effort to keep winning, its just sad that he is still injured now. It's Lebron's 3 season with the Lakers, we don't know what the Lakers could achieve this season.

I believe that they can come back again at the top. Changes after one team and its roster is always the exciting part and with Drummond being in the Lakers, I saw that many were happy with his newfound home. There's always a big doubt about Lebron for some fans and here we are those fans that always trusted him. But that's the question that we have to see once this season ends if they'll be able to defend their title.

There still a lot of games in current season and the fight for the top seed on Western conference is very close. I'm sure that they can get it once the LBJ and AD came back. IMHO, they will not target to get the top seed this season considering that the Big 2 is still injured. They will just make it into the playoffs since Championship is more important to them.

As a long-time NBA enthusiast, you should be used to it. It might be killing the competition but there are surprises. See how Miami Heat climb their way up in the last year's Finals upsetting those dominant ones? The Clippers who got wrecked by the Denver Nuggets is also one of a good example of a big upset in the last year's playoffs. As for the Net's, yes they are now fully stacked but it doesn't mean they can't be beaten in a series. And besides, as a bettor, we shouldn't take that as a big deal.

I'd like to indicate that Jazz have been doing a great job lately. They have been winning 5 times in a row. And they are still leading the Western Conference.
They are gonna host Cavs tonight.
Jazz have been dominating their games against them in the last 6 head-to-heads. I wouldn't be surprised if we witness a similar scenario again.
I expect a nice and clear Jazz win.

But Griffin's body is questionable though, I would say more of a wear and tear because of his 'high flying' ability, yes he can still dunk the ball, but unlike when he was injured free, he posterised a lot of players back then. And the finals between Nets vs Lakers?, there are still competitions specially in the West side, so it won't be an obvious finals between the two, there could be surprises in the playoffs.

Prime or what, they won't taste of being a champion on their former teams so they can't push for a demand of a high salary for the meantime. Being teamed up by either Durant or Lebron is definitely increasing any player's chance to become a champion. If they are looking for more money, then they can simply ignore the offer and be contended on their respective teams.

Yes, everyone knows... LeBron James makes a LOT of difference in the team, and he is one of the most experienced players in the league!
Although Drummond is a little short for his position, but he is very dominant in the painted part of the court, and can get several rebounds
He has a very impressive stats, averaging 17 ppg and 13.5 TRB.. I think that will scare the other teams. Drummond has finally found a championship team and he is expected to perform his best to help the Lakers in a back to back championship. I'm sure Lebron is so happy now. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/drumman01.htmlYes, exactly!! We are almost sure that the NBA "finals" will be between Nets and Lakers if they find themselves in a possible WCF lol Drummond is "only" 6-10 tall, imagine if he was 7ft or 7-1, he would be unstoppable! I'm anxious to seeing the Nets and Lakers playing with their complete squad.

Lakers were better off keeping both McGee and Howard in the offseason... I look at Drummond as a slightly improved version of Tristan Thompson for LeBron in his days with the Cavs. Drummond can't shoot, atrocious fg% as a center considering he is only finishing inside at 47%. He will be a huge liability at the free-throw line with 58%. At least the Nets didn't get another body, other than that, he can up his orebs catching Pope and Kuzma's 3pt bricks. Well, I somehow agree that McGee and Howard should have kept by the Lakers. But, Drummond is also a good addition for the current Lakers line up. He's not slightly better than Tristan Thompson, he is much better compliment for LeBron and AD. I mean he has the size and the speed and could create his own shot easily in the paint, and rebounds better. Although he had a very terrible shooting percentage especially with the FT, but his presence would be a huge factor for the team. More offensive rebounder means more second chance points, plus Drummond is such a good defender. One thing I noticed about the Lakers, is that they're building a defensive and physical roster. They do already have that offensive power and i wont really be having any objections if they are focusing now on building a defensive or physical roster. Defense in the paint and controlling rebound is one of the most important when tending to get the pace of the game.If other teams can beat up or cant contest between those defenders then that would really be showing off some disadvantage. but still i do much prefer McGee and Howard on that position though but sadly they've change it out.

These 2 centers are nothing when we compared their stats to Andre Drummond last season and also this season. Drummond is playing dominantly in defense in Cleveland while at the same time, contributing to the offense. McGee and Howard aren't like that and they already past their prime. A good decision for the Lakers to release those 2 centers before the season starts as part of their bench improvement. Drummond will be an important key to the Lakers and I'm now excited to see how he will blend to Anthony Davis.
