2024 NBA Season

I'm so happy playoff basketball is here.  While this season has still been a bit abnormal due to the start time and shortened game schedule, it's nice to be out of the bubble and into what feels like a bit more normal of a playoff situation.  Looking forward to a month of overeating, drinking too much, swearing at various local public televisions and having an all around great time.  It doesn't get too much better than the NBA playoffs.  Don't forget to have fun and surround yourself with some other NBA fans!

I'm feeling the same that the games are going with the public and that's also removing some stress and anxiety as a watcher because of the pandemic has hit badly many sports including the NBA. I'm eager to watch the game tomorrow, the first game of Lakers. We're always certain that there are a lot of Lakers fan here. But who's going to be with the Suns tomorrow against the Lakers? there are 4 games that will happen tomorrow and the other game that I'm interested with is with the Grizzlies and Utah Jazz.

There is nothing better than seeing fans in the stands (no matter the sport). I said few times already that Suns will eliminate the Lakers (probably in six) and the other game I expect with huge interest is Knicks - Hawks. I like the way NY play D and in my opinion this will be the key in the series.

I agree, that's why actual fans being live on the stadium or court is giving that encouragement that anytime soon, we're going to be back to the normal that we've used to have every game, the crowd, the fans, the teams, cheers and those loud noises that we usually hear when there's a game live. And with your opinion about Suns eliminating Lakers on six, we'll get to see if your right. This is why I like to hear different opinions and thoughts in stages like this because that's giving me that comparison and other possibilities.

Brooklyn Nets made a really good start to the playoff games. They managed to beat Celtics home 104-93 home and got ahead 1-0 in the series. It looks like Durant, Harden and Irving all had a really decent performance. But I noticed that their performance when it comes to the 3-pointers was too bad. 

It doesn't matter though, as long as they win, that's what matters. They are in a groove, they are complete and they can beat any teams in the West, even the 76ers. I don't know, but I have a feeling that the Celtics might get sweep this season.  ... hopefully they can win at least 1 game.

I think Boston has looked horrible all game. The second half was absolutely terrible. I didn’t know who this Robert Williams guy was before the game but he damn near has a triple double with blocks (new Celtic record). He has changed the entire defense for the Celtics and kept the nets off balance all game. Without him and the poor early Nets shooting this game would have surely been a blowout. Still a decisive victory for the Nets (in 3 more minutes).

Trail Blazers won versus the Nuggets in their home. Wow! But the Blazers should not hold back just because they got the upper hand now.
Nuggets have a history of turning around a 3-1 record twice last year. Melo should keep making those accurate shots that he did today. It was fun watching him contribute for a win. 50 percent FG 6/12 and 3PT 4/8 for 22 minutes.

Dame Time, they are hitting there 3 points that's why they won. And it seems that Denver is shooting fatigue as well, they don't have the energy they used to have and it's evident that in this playoff Murray is needed.

Yeah, fun to watch Melo in this playoff, good shooting night for him and overall the Blazers are the better team in game 1.

Melo has improved a lot this season, he will be very useful in the playoffs and this is the best moment for the Blazers as they are healthy. Anyway, it's still a game 1, there are more games to play but getting one win at home is already an advantage. Good job for Lillard,  McCollum, Melo, and the rest who contributed to the win.

Well, that was to be expected, I still think the Nets can make 4x1 or 4x0 against the Celtics
Boston is no longer that competitive team of years ago. I think he need to mature and improve the team if he wants to be at least an ECF champion.

By the way, in this first game, Celtics only scored 8/34 ~ 23.5% of the 3-point baskets. I think in this regard the Nets left something to be desired

A very tight game in Milwaukee. Beautiful in its ugliness. I suspect that the whole series will be look like.

Yeah, it was a close game. The Heat could have won this game, but Butler, Herro, and Adebayo had terrible field goal percentage. However, I won't be surprised if the Heat can win this series again as they did in the previous playoff.

They start so slow and let's be honest they should've won at more than 15 points difference against a Celtic team who had and still has problem when it comes to important players but overall you're right , the 3 points shoots were awfull from all 3 of them so they should be aware in this play-off to not repeat the poor performance from last night. I'm sorry but Nets really played bad ...but the hype on them is real and the pressure is there.

Looks like I underestimated the Suns that much. Just watching at the highlights of the game and you will see what really CP3 did to this team.
CP3 injured himself too but returned immediately to lead his team and Game 1 goes to them 99-90.

2 superstars of LA is just combined for 31 points while Booker/Ayton has 55 points. The Lakers needs to go back to the drawing board for Game 2.

It's good to see Derrick Rose back to play-off mode despite all these injuries. He looks focused today. Hawks defense looks pretty weak, they gave away a lot of rebounds. It's still head to head game, we may even see an overtime here. I'm expecting a narrow Knicks win for this game, they looked better.

They may be measuring Suns offense and defense just like the trailblazers last year, LeBron doesn't want to drive in the lane, in the fourth quarter and Davis is so careful in his moves, looks like he has doubts that he might get injured, I'm still rooting for the lakers if they are defeated in the next game that would make the fans worried if they can still make it, but they got LeBron we don't know what he is thinking.

As expected, Young stepping up as he's the main man of this team, those crucial ft and the last shot too small yet big at heart.

DRose at the other hand, play like as he didn't suffered from any injuries, a true star that comes up when the team needed him most, too bad luck back up the Hawks with that Young last penetration. Guessing that this series can go up to 7 game, whoever win this series deserve it as they are really playing at their best.

Memphis Grizzlies upsets the Utah Jazz. Nice. I am amazed with how wise Kyle Anderson and think clearly making a foul (penalty) to avoid a 3 point shot.
Fouling out Rudy Gobert by attacking the paint and switches was also the reason they won this game.
That's a good tactic by the Memphis Coach Taylor Jenkins and with Ja Morant leading them, they can win games even if they are the number 1 seed or GSW in the play-in tournament. But I think Mitchell will be playing in Game 2 and it's going to be more entertaining.

The Jazz really need Donovan Mitchell playing if they’re gonna do anything this post season. Conley playing with a sore Achilles isn’t helping either. Mitchell has always been an absolute monster in the playoffs his entire career. It sucks not seeing him out there. I hope he can get in game 2, but he said the goal was to play in this game so it seems like he’s still dealing with a lot of pain.

At first I was thinking that it's a bad idea but the coach didn't react and it turned to favor, if Jazz managed to set that
play it's very possible that they'll going to take three point shot  and bring this game to OT. Kudos for Anderson

They know the impact of Gobert, it's the best thing they've done attacking him to foul him out.

No doubts that the plays made them to take this win good designed  by the coaching staff, Ja Morant still young but
he really have that killing instinct taking the ball in his hand in the last dying minutes.

But I think Mitchell will be playing in Game 2 and it's going to be more entertaining.

See him enjoying while watching his team, for sure it's a different game when he's already playing.

I'm surprised, LAL with complete team, lost the game.
I confess... the Suns stood out and it was a deserved victory. I can see, the Lakers need to work hard to be able to win the next games.
Kuzma played 19 minutes and scored no points, how is this possible ?! 

I am worried about CP3, again he get injuried in playoffs, but I think it was not serious, any news about his shoulder???
