Spurs beating Lakers with a veeery easy and hefty margin, of course everyone expected that...

All jokes aside we are not closer to 9th spot and if we get there and there is a play-in tournament, we could literally end up being in the playoffs.

I am very excited about being a team that fails to tank even when it should, this year was seen as a lost year, we lost both Derozan and LMA on the same season (well lost LMA last year) and we were expected to be tanking, most of our young guys are not that young anymore but not old neither, so people saw us as 13th on predictions at west, now we are at 10th and that's great.

I hope we reach to 9th spot and finish there, even if we do not go to playoffs, I want to see us at play-in tournament.

Christmas is suppose to be fan, I mean watching games with the star players in different teams is fun to watch as we can see a competition at a full level, but looks like we are not gonna see it this Christmas.

It's ok regardless of who will play or not because of safety and health protocols. Those who won't be able to play on Christmas day doesn't mean their respective team will not be on their full level. Lots of big matches on Christmas day games we sure don't want to miss.

Nets vs Lakers
Warriors vs Suns

Can't wait to watch these games.

I think Warriors vs Suns is better to watch as this team is already tied 1-1 this season so far. They won a game in their respective home court but the last time the Suns lose, they were playing without Booker. Tomorrow they'll be in their home court again so I think Suns will get this, they are now -5, but not sure they'll cover that spread as Warriors are really doing well.

That's what I think too.
Suns and Warriors are the most interesting teams to watch this year in the Western Conference. The Eastern Conference too has a very interesting teams too. The Bucks and Nets still the front runners for the NBA finals, but the Chicago Bulls are also showing the potential to be in that category too.
Wohooo the NBA is getting unpredictable and exciting as the season goes on.

Ya, I think that the Warriors and Bulls are my favorites for the Finals at the moment.  A far cry from before the season started when I thought nobody could ever touch the Nets or Lakers.  Who knows, maybe they're just not interested in regular season basketball and we'll see them flip a switch in the playoffs.  When everyone is in playoff mode basketball is an entirely different game.  I think with all the covid nonsense and everything else going on in society today, the players are just cruising until it's time to get serious.  I don't expect anyone to put in much effort until after the all star break at the earliest.

I would be surprised if the Bulls will be in the NBA Finals, but I do like it because that means they would have to beat the Nets and the Bucks who are the early favorites to win the ECF and even the NBA Finals. The way it's going now, it's very unpredictable especially if it will continue until the playoffs, just like last season, we might see a team that will bag the trophy that is not in our expectation.

Lakers has lost again today against San Antonio Spurs with a huge 28-score difference (LAL 110-138 SAS) by the way it's their 4th consecutive loss just this week with ofcourse IT on the court. He only scored 2-points in 21 minutes play, so I think Lakers won't renew his contract as he is not that well suitable in the Lakers.
Their next opponent is against Brooklyn Nets, the only game left for IT to prove his presence before his 10-day contract expires but I think we already knew what would be the result of this game tho.

Yeah, Thomas had another unconvincing performance, and it looks like he is missing out on the opportunity to get a full contract. Regarding the upcoming match, I also think that the Nets will be able to win the Lakers even without key players. By the way, look at this video from the previous match. It's funny because Lebron was one against five Spurs players, and he was trying to attack the basket while his teammates were too lazy to cross from the other side of the court. As for me, this is a good example of what the Lakers still haven't mutual understanding on the court.

For me, Thomas has a good performance so far as a Lakers, it's that they really have so much talent that it's really hard to balance them out. Lebron gives him everything night in, night out but it was not enough because only a few team mates is helping him out and watching him do his 1:1. And if he pass them the ball, often than not, they are not hitting those open threes as well.

How about your Phoenix Suns? Ayton is still playing good, CP3 barring no injuries are also playing like a true "Point God" with the team. I think Suns and Warriors in the West right now and I don't see anyone pulling an upset on them.

The East though is very different, very difficult to predict as the Bulls is coming along, the Nets being the top seed with Durant, and then we have the defending champion the Bucks.

Of course, the Suns are also a great team, however, we only need to choose one from the East and one from the West and Ognasty has his own prediction. Personally, I like the Suns to compete the Warriors in the WCF but I'll go for the Warriors to be the winner because soon they'll get Thompson back which is a deadly 3 point shooter, also they have the experience and have won multiple championships, so the advantage is on them.

Do you think he'll play against the Celtics later?
Based on this article, it says that he's going to play against Celtics.

https://www.marca.com/en/basketball/nba/milwaukee-bucks/2021/12/25/61c651b222601d36238b45b5.html

As said that he's already clear with his NBA protocols and measures, which would make him play later.

Also, take note of Marcus Smart being questionable for that game later. So, this could be all Bucks especially with Giannis back. The Celtics defense will be a bit open in the paint without Smart around.
I already took the bet for this game last night and the line was -5.5 only for the Bucks @2.05 to win. Now it changed drastically at -7.5 for 2.07.
So I guess the recent news about Giannis being back affected it and so does the injury report of Smart. But that -7.5 could still be covered with so much offensive power from the Bucks.

We both see how big the chance of Warriors to be back and regain their former throne.
With the way they are playing right now and with the upcoming comeback of Klay, an additional 2-way player who can really make a big damaged.

Just also wanted to add Sixers. They are also a good team. Their chance is also possible to be a contender in the east, though I like to see the Bull or Heat
to excel and meet KD and the Nets in the Eastern finals.

Still early and we can only assume from how we see their performance right now..

Without someone who will replace Simmons in the position, I doubt that Philly will even reach the ECF. They are good now because it's still in the regular season but we know that playoffs is a different kind of ball game, more adjustments and it's a best of 7 series and they'll certainly miss the service of Simmons.

^^ The problem with the Suns if they ever face Warriors in the WCF is CP3. Yeah he's been playing great but the thing is his injury and the effect of his absence on the court. When his team is close to beating the Warriors, he misses the next games and the momentum shifts again. I think Steph and Klay always make him play to his limits but he couldn't sustain it throughout the whole series.

Yeah, Klay might be the big difference between the Warriors winning the ring again this year and losing in the finals. If he remains healthy after his comeback, ohh it will be very deep Warriors team, first five will be solid. But wait till they get replaced by the likes of Poole, Payton, Lee, Kuminga, JTA, and Iggy.

So that's one big advantage of Warriors is that they can sustain their run even if you take out their starting five and the rotation will not change as all of them are very familiar with the plays.

Chris Paul will be alright, he finished the NBA Finals last season and unfortunately they lose to the Bucks. They now have the experience and I'm sure they'll be a great match-up against the Warriors. Also, even if Thompson would be back soon, but i don't expect him to be 100% or the same person before he suffered a serious injury, it may take time for him to recover.

I think we should look at how Thompson will develop entering the playoffs. For sure it will take some time for him to bounce back. But if he goes healthy in this season, then the Warriors will be a problem to any team in the NBA. So give him some time to contribute and if he comes back like Durant then we can see an old Klay, hitting spot up three's again.

I agree, the technology now is more advance so a player could play after a long layoff as nothing happens, besides, Thompson makes sure that when he comes back he will be 100% like before, so we should expect he will not disappoint us. Maybe the only concern is the chemistry, but it's not a big issue as knowing the Warriors they are a great team when it comes to chemistry, no problem so far.

Well, I hope he can replicate that endurance again for the sake of the fans. We definitely want a series not affected by injuries. I based my comment on his previous meetings with the Warriors from his previous teams.

About Klay, he'll have plenty of games to shake off that rust before the WCF. I believe they took their sseet time to make sure his mind and body can play.

^^ Yup, they are taking their sweet time before letting Klay go.

I think Klay is definitely ready, we have seen video of him playing around during shoot out so definitely he is ready emotionally to play and not to think about his injury anymore and contribute to the team's cause, that is to win another ring. 40 games will be enough for him to gauge if he still has it or not.

With the Lakers' struggle still continuing this season, I guess only Suns and the Warriors are now the favorites to be in the WCF. As long as they keep their ranking, 1 and 2, and beat every opponent from the first round, then we will surely see what we are expecting. I don't know if the Lakers could still build their chemistry, it's been a while and they don't show some consistency as evidence by their present ranking.
