Morant was hurt while dribbling the ball toward the paint, although there was no contact that appeared to cause the injury. He began to limp, passed the ball and then hobbled off the floor in the middle of the play.

He is the heart of the team and almost every play rotates around him. Losing a superstar like that for so many games will give the Grizzlies a hard time reaching a playoffs spot.
Looking forward to good news after they check him. The score now is 57 Grizzlies - 95 Hawks. and it's just 3rd quarter.

And it's over, 132-100 a high scoring game for the night. Lucky for those who bet on the over in this game.

But it's unfortunate that Ja Morant will be injured again and I would say that if they lose him for the remainder of the season then they might be done. It was reported to be a left knee injury. So let's see how it goes, of course we wish him speedy recovery and hope that he can go and still play this season.

When you thought that the Warriors are going to close them up, Portland is coming up big in the 4th quarter and has cut the lead to 12 points already.

For us who bet on the handicap on the Warriors, still not safe. We really need to wait till the last minute. Portland are not giving up and won't give up easily.

Still a long way, they have a big chance with a deep bench roster they have. I mean, even if Lebron and Anthony Davis get injured for days they can still fight in a good way. Westbrook will handle things and chances of winning are still high. That's their upper hand over most of the teams which will have a big problem once their star is out.
One example is a sad story now with Ja Morant and then there are Clippers without Kawhi although PG13 is doing great and Nuggets with Jokic resting which recently lose against the Bucks.
While the Lakers are building their chemistry a chance for a W every game remains, unlike other teams.

Anyway, lets just say that he has a bad night that's why they lost and its unfortunate for them to see them playing like this knowing that they are a team filled with superstars and all-stars. I think its the age that hinders them because they are kinda slow affecting their defense.

I think this is too early to tell knowing that we are just starting the season (most number of games so far is 21). Lets say this if they don't have any adjustments coming into the all-star weekend or after it. Maybe we're expecting too much for them since they are filled with superstars aren't we?

Anyway, why most of us are focusing on Lakers. I mean we have the Warriors getting victory against the Trail Blazers by 15 points and the Suns who are in a 15 win streak with their win against the Knicks. The longest winning streak in the NBA is 33 by the 1971–72 Lakers. Well , the Suns are almost halfway to that .

I'm hoping for that to happen, at least give the Lakers more time to figure out their chemistry, their lose against the Kings was the greatest loss IMO because it was fun to watch and they are really trying to win, that triple OT is just epic, I'll never forget that game.

Low scoring game for Pistons vs. Clippers so far but LAC is already ahead by 20 points with under 5 minute remaining. I don't think Pistons can still turn that around as I don't anyone exploding to help them close the gap. Good to see distribution of points on the Clippers side.

Clips at ho.e are just too much for a team like the Pistons.  Big game tonight for the Knicks.  They have been shaky at home and a good Suns team coming into town.  A win here will go a long way for their confidence that they are a top tier team in the East.  They need a good win streak here.  Go knicks!

Knicks looked like complete trash last night.  I'm glad thibs finally let q grimes off the bench tonight.  The kid plays phenomenal defense for a rookie.  They need to start prioritizing defense again, they aren't an offensive powerhouse and can't rely on outscoring opponents.  Back to back on the road now against the Hawks tonight.  Could be in for an ugly game, gut check time for the Knicks.  They need this.

Still a long way away and tons of basketball to be played we are only in the first quarter of the season.  But yeah if they continue to play this well they probably will.  But anything can happen from here.  If steph is out for any length of time they can slide easily out of contention.  Billy Donavon will have a real good shot too with the bulls Completely turning it around.

@Russlenat, I guess putting a bet on the top 3 best contenders would be a good idea, whoever would win this year's coach of the year award would already guarantee a profit as long as you put an even bet. I'm pretty sure one of the top 3 will get that award, but for me, it's likely the coach of the Bulls that will get it.

I believe there is a good chance that we could possibly see Lakers be at the bottom of playoff seeds or even play a play-in situation as well. I had no idea that Warriors would be so great and Lakers would be so bad at the start of the season. I do not know what their problem is, I do not know what causes this but Lakers are playing way worse than what their roster suggests. I get that usually we blame it on the coach when a roster is great but the results are bad but right now Vogel is not the problem, he is doing all he can and the system is good.

The problem here is that players are not playing like they are the best. Warriors on the other hand is having fun, they are great and all but the most important part is that they are having fun, and that was the key to their success back in the day before Durant showed up and I am sure they will do that again this year too.

However, I think even if they are at the bottom, they are still a threat to the top seed as the 3 best players on the team have a good number of playoffs experience and they are very competitive especially during the playoffs, what I only hope is for them to remain healthy all the time.
