The Brooklyn Nets were trailing in the 4th quarter but the intense team works lead them to outscore the Pacers and finally beat them. Kyrie Irving is finally and managed to score 22 points in his return. that is a huge contribution and finally the Brooklyn Nets have done with their 3rd losing streak. It would be another exciting next game for the Nets since their big three are playing healthy without any injury. First half, its the Pacers that are in the lead and they got as high as 19 point lead but the Nets dominated the second half with the help of their Big 3. Its nice to see Kyrie back in the court and helping his team end their lose streak. Him, Durant and Harden combined for 79 of their total points and 6 players from them scored in double digits. Still, we can't see Kyrie play in their home games because he don't want to get vaccinated but he can help the team on the road and give other star players some rest. Kyrie came back already. What I'm waiting is for Klay to comeback on Sunday against the Cavaliers . Can't wait to see him come back to the court after 2 and a half years of not playing though I'm not expecting to much from him in his first games. We might see the old Klay at least in the Playoffs . The game was won by Nets in the final quarter in my eyes. They managed to score 35 points whereas the Pacers could only score 20. I'm happy that Kyrie Irving is finally back in the squad and had quite a decent game in my opinion. He scored 22 points and 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Specially KD played exceptionally well in this game scoring an incredible 39 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds. That's some next-level stats. Kyrie getting back has injected a new life into the Nets squad and that's really nice to see. Hoping for them to win the following matches after Irving's return.

I don't know if I'd say he could be the best player on the team. Durant is his teammate and he's literally the best player in the world, so Kyrie will always be at best the second fiddle. I would say he is a distant third to James Harden also, but this year with the rule changes Harden has been ineffective driving in the paint and has basically been forced to dish or shoot 3 pointers. Kyrie coming back will hopefully help that a bit. Durant had 39 points on 15-24 shooting... Pretty crazy. They also scored 35 points in the 4th quarter to come from behind. A nice victory to welcome Kyrie back.
I didn't expect that from a debut but what I didn't expect more is the way he talk now in the interview (good) and how he managed to avoid having any locker room issue. He is pretty welcomed by his team mates and also had fun watching him or just being with him on the sidelines. He should keep up this new Kyrie Irving and throw the old one. Warriors on the other side defeated badly by the Mavericks even without the Unicorn to help them out. Luka Doncic didn't fail to initiate the joy in American Airlines Center because after the game was the retirement of Dirk Nowitzki's #41 jersey. That was an emotional moment.

Good job for the Mavericks, when we are thinking that the Warriors are unbeatable then suddenly there comes the Mavericks who dominate them. It was a nice gift for Dirk Nowitzki, fans will never forget him as he is the only one who gave the Mavericks their championship.

Ja Morant is still very young and has a lot of time left in the NBA. He has the potential to be one of the best one days in my opinion. What he needs to do is work on his weaknesses, for example, he needs to work on his accuracy as he can for sure improve his field goal percentage if he sticks to it. Morant is a crucial part of the Grizzles squad already and if Dillon Brooks can return asap, they will get better results for sure.

He is slowly working on his shooting though, in the last game, he hits 2 crucial free throws isn't? And it seems that like many great players in the game right now, he waited for the game to come to him and not forcing it unless it is really important for the Grizzlies to score and then he will take over. He involved his team mates early and then he will played the last 6 minutes to full speed and get that W. I thought that Dillon Brooks has played in their last game but I must be wrong.

He hasn't played yet but I think he will be available in the next game and I'm excited to see what he can bring again. Dillon Brooks was part of the major success of the Grizzlies last playoffs, and this season, I believe they are really a real contender to win the WCF now that some teams are struggling.

I do agree, Brooks was a major part of Memphis torrid rise to he playoffs last year, and for me Brooks is known for his defense, but in the last year's playoff he was a perfect complement to Ja Morant in the offensive floor and become a headache for other teams to match because he is too quick. So just imagine if he comes back and contribute to Memphis just like what he did last year.

Remember Kobe, dude had one big injury and then he couldn't recover and got injured again and that was basically it for him.
They have different gameplay. Kobe is more of attacking the rim while Klay Thompson is just focusing on 3 points. The chances of getting injured might be less. If Klay will now return, I'm thinking he will have an average of 30 minutes per game in the first month. He is already in rehabilitation for a long and can now play smoothly once got back in action. They didn't rush Klay even he is cleared to play already when the current season started. That prediction might be true that Klay Thompson will have an average playing time just like he used to do, but I wonder if Steve Kerr will go just like that because we know that Klay is an important to their team just like Curry and they can't afford to make the situation worse, sure thing Klay was cleared from rehab and physically fit to play again but can he really keep up just like that again after he tore his ACL. I bet there will be some adjustments to Klay as for Steve Kerr's instruction. We have so many questions if how would Klay perform just like Irving, it'll be clear to us soon.

We can't compare KT's situation to Kobe, in the first place, KT is still young while Kobe was not young anymore when he was injured. Maybe we can compare him to Paul George and we saw how good the development of Paul George after a devastating injury. Or, Kevin Durant. The comparison was on Kobe so my answer talks between the two. That was the closest even in time of rest and it was an Achilles injury for Durant which is the worst for a player. But yet, we are watching him now and even aiming for an MVP. They gave all the time for Klay so that last year won't happen again where the injury went back during warm up. I think now they are sure about the health of him both physically and mentally.
The medication and the surgery now are more advanced, I'm hoping we will not see a player like DRose who was so fragile when he got injured during his prime. At this point, we can understand how people fear that Klay might get injured again as he rested for so long and his injury was serious, but let's just trust him as having some players that is fun to watch entertain us, so we need to see him again.

The fourth winning streak for the Toronto Raptors. Milwaukee Bucks being Giannis-less hit them hard. No worries for the Bucks fans though, it's not a Covid related illness and he may play again versus the Brooklyn Nets, January 8.
The battle for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference is close compared to what is happening in the West. I think this is a good sign that we will be having a tough playoffs game that you can't even tell if it's upset or not when the top seed play against the 8th seed. I guess injuries and covid related problems will also be a big factor here and let's wish it won't be like that.

The game between GSW vs Mavericks was a tough one to watch. While Luka made everything so easy on the pain with those talented offensive and defensive techniques, Curry had AGAIN an off-night which resulted to 5-24 on his field goals. Many have been saying that after Curry broke the most 3-pt record, he looked very demoralized throughout the night. Missed easy lay-ups and missed uncontested shots which he should have been draining given his history.
Nevertheless, Mavericks deserved that win earlier but kudos to GP2 and the other members of the Warriors for such incredible development of their bench. I just hope Curry gets his groove back since playoffs are approaching.

The Dallas Mavericks - Golden State Warriors game didn't end in the way I imagined. I was expecting a high-scoring game and a very close win by Mavericks. They still won but the result was 99-82. But it was still great to see Doncic continuing to improve his performance by this game. He got 26 pts, 7 reb and 8 ast. Curry had another terrible game with 14 pts. He got only 5 field goal made out of 24 shot attempts. And they performed really poorly as a team too.
Curry wasn't playing his MVP level in the last 2 games, not sure if he is 100% healthy or he is having a minor injury that hinders him in playing his full potential. It was a great game as Luka once again proved that he deserve to be part of the MVP conversation, and yes, let's hope we will see the Mavs to be consistent in winning again. Sometimes even the best player in the NBA also experience some struggle, that is normal but what is important is that the Warriors are healthy now and they are still the number 1 team in the NBA. We cannot underestimate the Dallas Mavericks also, they have Luka and they have a good system as well, but if they will play in best of 7 game series, I'm sure the Warriors would win. The Mavericks sure have some tricks and answers to every opponent they have even if it's a much more stronger team than them, so we can't really underestimate this team because they are on the 5th spot in the West for a reason. Right now they are on their 4th win streak and it could be their 5th as the Rockets will be their next opponent, not a tough team this season. But as for the GSW, maybe they're just tired from their game against the Heats the other day. We can really see it on how Curry, Green and Poole played today, it's just not their day and GSW will always bounce back from their defeats.

I think just like many players who take a lot of time off, they will both come back rusty. I know that both players have been playing five on five games, I’m not sure how may each have been playing, but until you get in to the regular nba games, you’re going to be rusty. Luckily for both players we aren’t even half through the season yet, so they’ve got plenty of time to get their footing back and make a big impact for their teams.

Tonight, I see a solid game between Suns and Clippers. Suns are going to be the hosting team. I'm really impressed to see them this much strong this season too. They had a great season in 2021 and reached even the finals. Maybe they couldn't reach the title but it looks like they really want it now. They are sharing the same statistics with the leader GSW (29W 8L). Clippers are in a bad situation as they are deprived of two of their very important players, George and Leonard. But they are still doing fine for now. But here, Suns can win.

Irving coming back even without getting vaccinated basically means he won. I do know that there are many players out and that is why they needed him, but get someone to sign a 10 day contract and still do not get Irving no matter what if you ask me.
I know this looks like I am being harsh on people who go against the rules but this is mainly about him not following the rules and still getting what he wants which means rules mean nothing. I mean if rules are not to be followed, then why are there even rules? There are some rules I do not agree with as well, there are many laws that I do not agree with as well but I have to follow them, if I am not as powerful as Irving then why am I forced to follow these rules while he gets an exception? That is the main thing, there are so many people who lost their jobs due to not getting vaccinated, but Irving still gets paid millions, it looks unfair.

I don't think that Nets did the right thing by bringing Kyrie Irving back to the starting five. He still hasn't been vaccinated so they shouldn't have made such decision. They are just acting so selfishly. This might threaten the other players who have been vaccinated too. I wonder what NBA board will say to this. But as he played against Pacers, they don't seem like they are against this decision.

As for Curry, I do believe that fatigue could be the reason here, he only had 2 consecutive off-games, the other off-game wherein he only scored 9 points, it was awful to see him be like that though there are many possibilities onto why he's having an off-night. Klay is going to return this January 10 facing the Cavaliers at Chase Center, would love to see the splash brothers once again back in action! My main concern around Klay Thompson is his defense, besides his 3pt shooting, he also has good defense around the court.

I can't believe the Bucks are going to let DeMarcus Cousins walk away a free agent. He was playing great for them. Much better than I expected. I guess he was just there to fill a roster spot during the covid restrictions. I'm curious who is going to pick him up now. Twitter is screaming at the Lakers to waive DeAndre Jordan and sign Cousins, but I don't see why they can't keep both... Likely Cousins will find a new home somewhere else. I think Chicago might be a decent home for him if he's still chasing a ring. Another stint with Golden State might not be a bad idea either. I'm sure someone will grab him quickly.

There are only a few days left for Klay Thompson to be back at the team finally. He has been injured for a very long time period and this affected Warriors deeply too. Maybe Curry still played insanely superb and carried his team most of the time. But they still felt Thompson's absence as all of the load has been on Curry's shoulders. Sometimes, players like Wiggins helped too but they were rare moments.
