That highlight dunk from Klay was something else. I’m not sure anyone expected him to come out like that. He said he was going to come back more athletic than before, but I had serious doubts as to whether that could be true or not. His shooting was a little off, but he looked great out there. I hope he can stay healthy so we don’t have to miss out on more Splash Bros games.

I also had huge doubt about how athletic he can come back but the first impression that he gave was almost amazing. Although as some people mentioned in this thread before, when was doing those moves my heart also raced for a minute there. He had a very big injury and when you see those moves in his first game, your mind just thinks that.

With him being strong as expected, GSW can make big leap and can be a force to reckon with in the west. I am expecting at least conference finals with a strong Klay.

Should've taken Cousins for that 10 day contract and tried him out. Now Nuggets will be have a stronger defender below the rim.

Lakers streak was broken and this tells they are not the caliber we are expecting, yet. It could've ended worse in a blowout game at 20 points upward of a lead from the Grizzlies but thanks to the 2nd team led by Austin Reeves it was cut down creating a 17-0 run. They thought it was over but he pumped the fans in Crypto.com Arena by giving them hope. I thought Frank Vogel is going to switch to his stars but thank God he didn't. Those guys deserves to stay in the game and finish it on their own.

We have a discussion about few pages ago saying that Memphis will be a big test to see if Lakers have the chemistry already. And now we got the answer, they are only good when they played a team that has a below .500. And teams they've fought with a winning record? they usually lost as seen in their last game against Ja Morant.

You said it right, we've seen what they can do and they could not beat Memphis which is not really a championship team. However, I know the Lakers are trying their best, they are still undermanned now, they missed one of their best players so it's understandable, as long as they keep hanging to the playoff spot, they'll still be very dangerous in the playoffs.

You got a point right there that they're undermanned, but being undermanned isn't going a good excuse for the Lakers because only Anthony Davis is the only missing as a key player of their team and aside from that fact, they have Westbrook, Carmelo and Howard which could make them aleady a tough team. But sadly, the Lakers now is really inadequate and miserable to see. I mean, look at the Heats, they have the most missing players in the league too.
But you're right, as long as they keep their spot they can be still dangerous in the upcoming games and in the playoffs. There's still a lot of room to learn.

They missed the biggest player on the team next to Lebron James. The good thing with AD is his consistency inside the coach, and I did not see that on Westbrook although they say that he is part of the big 3. Without Davis, this team would really struggle against a stronger team or teams with at least 0.500 record.

It was Lebron and Monk again but against a very good team, it will not be enough. It will take a lot of team chemistry and consistency which the Lakers lacks of.

Lebron once again did all he could to win the game and Lakers lost to a team like Grizzlies, which is humiliating for them to be fair. I know they are missing a lot of players and that is why they should be off the hook for this stretch but they were doing so well until this game. Plus, when you have Lebron on your team who is getting 35 points in a game, you expect others to play a bit better defense, their defense seems to be the biggest problem they are facing right now and that is why I believe they lost this game as well, offensively they were fine but defensively they let so many easy buckets.

It is insane how bad they are on transition defense as well, Memphis kept getting quite easy buckets on transition as well, they just need to have some sort of hype to get back on defense quicker, they can't just slack off because it's NBA and every team is dangerous if you slack.

That's what happened when a team lacks chemistry, they are not playing on the same page sometimes. The fact that Lebron is trying hard to score more than his average, that means he badly wants to make his team better and he is literally carrying it on his shoulder, without Davis who can help him to win, they'll likely experience more loses against top contender teams in the NBA.

Their stars is not clicking together I don't know if there's a problem with their coaching staff for experiencing this or the players cannot adjust to their system since they usually the one who handle the ball on their past teams. Whether anything from this I think they need to learn from this season since if they cannot correct their mistake provably they will miss this season to go on playoffs and its a big shame for them knowing they are star studied team.

I don't even think that they will make the playoffs at this rate.

LeBron is going to slow down in the latter half of the season for sure. They have exhausted him and the team around him is simply not helping too well.

Hopefully they make some major changes to the roster before the trade deadline, otherwise this roster is doomed.

Finally! Klay Thompson is back and they win the game against the Cavs today. This is what we have looking for and we are watching it right now. the old days are back with the GSW splash brothers and some other addition to the team makes them an NBA Finals contender once again.

Western Conference suddenly became scarier.   Not bad for a debut for Klay Thompson after 2 years of rest. A dunk, three 3-pointers, and a block.
But why do I feel nervous whenever he trips, slips, or lands his feet after a high flight? I guess I am the one with the mental issue now instead of him. Trauma.  
It's a good sign if he can dunk during a live game, that means he got over the mental problems whenever a player comes back from an injury. All the time given to him resting and preparing was worth the wait.

Yeah, that drive and a dunk, oh so scary but at least he didn't fall hard on his feet so I guess we now feel confident that he is really back. Concern though is Draymond Green, seems that he is still nursing that injury so it might take some time to see him in the Warriors uniform.

So GSW goes deep again with Klay back in the line up, I think it's only Phoenix or Memphis that can match GSW right now in the West.

That was sick.  I will be honest I didn't expect the type of bounce he had out there.  Interested to see how he holds up multiple get a week, but his conditioning looked good.  Had his legs into each shot and was nimble around the rim.  Golden state just got scary again.

Well probably in the first 10 games we have seen that something is really wrong with the Lakers and we really try to understand what it is with them,

* Maybe it was the coach
* Russ making a lot of turnovers
* Lebron getting injured no longer in his prime
* AD getting sideline

etc, etc.

But going half-way now, the problem still persists and I wouldn't be surprised if they are not going to missed the play-offs for this year.

TBH, in their last games they are doing well compare to how they were at their first games.
I think many of us including me are expecting too much with the Lakers because at the start of the season, they are a great team just by looking at their roster. We expected too much at that time that we already foresee that the teams that will match up in the NBA Finals are the Lakers and the Nets. It seems like our expectation is just too much for them that is why we are disappointed with how they are playing right now.

Their new starting 5 seems working and its better than their old starting 5. Small ball with Lebron at the Center position is better for them. Fast pace game and a bunch of shooters that can shoot threes though they are not good defensively. Right now, I'm not expecting too much with them anymore and I think there are some who are doing the same. Lets just wait if they will enter the playoffs which it seems they are but at the bottom (probably 6-8). Well at least they are above 500 right now .

Good game from the Sacramento Kings versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. I thought De'Aaron Fox is going to sink it for a buzzer-beater again but he missed it with two towers Mobley and Allen in front of him. That's where the Cavs strength is, the defensive line in the paint and the same at the offensive end.
I mean, the Kings did well at chasing the 13 point lead by the Cavs but they got careless at the last minutes of the game even after they had the lead.
Allen 18 points, 17 rebounds, and identical with Mobley with 2 blocks.

The Nets with another tough loss...  They aren't playing too well lately.  Sort of disappointing but I'm sure they'll get it together eventually.  I think even in the Jarrett Allen and DeAngelo Russell days they played better than this.  I think the rule changes and covid rules have something to do with it, but you'd think Durant would be able to carry his team better than this.  Maybe they're trying to play it safe and avoid injuries or are waiting until after the all star break to turn it on...  We'll see...

Confused Brooklyn Nets. Losing against a team without their stars Dame, CJ, and Powell. Yes, that's disappointing. Blake Griffin only played 11 minutes, I don't know what happened but Irving and KD played 40+ minutes and now I am starting to think they are doing load management thing that had been a disgust to most critics back then. Being safe in the 2nd spot give credits to do this strategies and more teams will be doing the same while they are not on check because of Covid issues.

No, what I meant was Grizzlies have a very good squad that plays together, but the Lakers have very good individual talent. That's why I thought that we'll get to see an even matchup. But once again it's proved that teamplay is more important than having individual better players. Because if one of those players fails to perform, it will heavily impact the result of the game unlike playing a team-oriented game.

I think that KD is playing his best game. Yes, he can do better, but though he is giving his 100%. What's missing is the support from his teammates. If you look at the stats, only 3 players from the Nets were able to score double digits. But 5 players from Trail Blazers were able to hit double digits and among them, 3 hit the 20 point mark.
I thought that after Kyrie's return, the Nets will be able to bring in better results but even his return doesn't seem like has made any difference whatsoever.

I was able to catch their game early and I took the bet for the Nets too. Many bettors expected an outcome on the side of the Nets at high percentage with Kyrie being on Durant's wing but it turned out to be the other way around. Sorry, but what hurts me is they will lose against a handicapped Trail Blazers.

February is the end of trades, rumors are circling around Ben Simmons again to land on Atlanta Hawks.

Yahh, seen the match, It was such a close and thrilling game. Only 1 point differentiates the two teams. Each team played well in every quarter and it all came down to the last second of the game. I felt like everyone in both the squads were scoring. In other matches, we get to see 1 or 2 players scoring 40, 50 points. But in this match, 12 players combined to made the double-digit mark in terms of scoring. Aah, the Cavs have an edge in terms of attacking the ring and defending but losing by 1 point is really harsh for the Kings.
