I think the management was really thirsty to get the Championship this season until they made mistakes along the road for building a superteam in hopes that they will dominate every team in the league but sadly the exact opposite happened.
Their defense is weak just like their offensive play, seriously if we remove LeBron James in the equation now like for example he's having an injury, I'm quite sure that the Lakers would fall into pieces.

They build a super team in terms of papers and popularities, but in reality there's nothing that those added stars contribute.

I'm hopeful that finally Melo landed to Lakers, he still has it but the performances of everyone is not impacting to make a win, without AD

they are powerless, what more if LeBron will sit and also suffer from another injury, the same thing that happened last season. We might

see them ending up much worse than the Kobe, Nash and Howard season..

Carmelo and Howard needs more minutes and plays for them to get used in the rotation, but they aren't granted what they need. Instead, the unproductive ones gets to play the game more than them. I don't know why, is it by the management/coach or some issues in the locker room?
Nonetheless, they really need AD's presence to tighten their defensive plays but they still should work things out as the playoffs are near approaching and if they do not, then they should give up their chance this season.

On the paper, they seemed like a super team all right. But I also think there must be a reason with the coaching or the management, or even worse something wrong in the locker room. Ok, we have seen so-called super teams didn't work in the past too sometimes but I feel like something is fundamentally wrong with this year's Lakers. They are bad on the defensive side as well as the offensive side. Seems like something just doesn't click. I'd consider this a lot in betting, even if everyone in the Lakers team is healthy, how they are doing in that specific time matters a lot.

Another quite delightful game is up next tonight. It is Memphis Grizzlies - Chicago Bulls and I might watch this game as its starting time is early for me. It is hard to predict the probable winner of this game. But I feel like that Memphis will be able to beat Chicago here. Zach LaVine is not expected to play before this Friday for the Chicago side. If he really doesn't play tonight, Chicago will be deprived of one of their critical players in terms of scoring. And we know great Morant has been performing for Memphis so far. With the big help of him, they can reach the victory.

I thought initially that if they are going to get Simmons, they are going to partner him with Fox in Sacramento. But it seems that they have change their narratives? But I think its a win win for both teams specially if they will include Tobias Harris in the trade. Again, dealing Harris is for long term for the Sixers as they will clear their salary cap enough to get another big names in the future.

I have to say, if there are some teams that willing to eat up Harris contract, that should 100% be Lakers. Tobias Harris is not really a horrible player and he has been playing awesome, give westbrook to sixers and get Harris and Simmons. Plus Simmons uses Klutch agency as well so it shouldn't be that hard to handle. Do Lakers have that kind of space? They do not, so they will have to send someone else as well to get these two.

Simmons wouldn't be helpful and he would be net negative when playing with Lebron for sure, but at the very least, they would be getting rid of Westbrook and getting Harris, then they are stuck with Simmons as an extra, just use him as that. Sixers could get Fox and Sacremento can get Westbrook if it is a three team deal. Or maybe Lakers gets Harris, Sacremento gets Simmons and Sixers gets Westbrook, not a "horrible" trade.

This means that the responsibility is on James Harden mostly. And they are going to face a very difficult opponent also. Because Cavaliers have been winning for four games in a row. We see them having only one less win than Nets and at the sixth place in the conference now. Nets defeated them once in this season and in this court by 117-112. And they might do this again.

There's still time for the Bulls to snap their losing streak but they're missing a lot of players and DeMar is struggling at the moment making only 7 out of 19.

Cavaliers still won the game against Nets by a result like 114-107. Irving was the most scorer of the game and Harden also had a solid performance. But a good team play was enough for Cavaliers to still defeat their competitor. This was another big hit to Nets and they really need to keep a good form these days.

Ben Simmons rumors are heating up...  I'm hearing that Sacramento might be willing to deal Fox now and that they might also be willing to take Harris' contract which is a bit ridiculous.  There's also supposedly a 3rd team that will be involved, but we'll have to wait and see.  Interesting that Simmons to Sacramento seems to keep coming back into play.  I think he really wants to be in California and is willing to play for the worst team in California to try and make that happen.  It seems like Fox is probably the best player that they'll be able to get back as well, so I think that is ultimately what the end result will be.

NBA Twitter sounding off today about just how bad Tobias Harris’ contract is. Maybe the worst contract in NBA history. If the Kings give up Fox and take Harris, I might have to try harder to become a billionaire just so I can fire the general manager and restore the Kings to their greatness of 20 years ago (ironically when I left Sacramento).

Regarding that game, the Nets should somehow pull a win against the Cavaliers even without Kevin Durant on the floor. However, the Cavaliers are really doing great and spoiled another match where Kyrie Irving is present. Overall, the game is close but the Nets fell shortly during the last Q.

Not actually a problem though as in the series match, things will be going different. Kudos to the Cleveland Cavaliers on winning that match especially on their rising stars on the progress.

If my memory served me right and correct me if wrong here, the Cavaliers are around 2.3 to win the match while the Nets have 1.8. About the Bulls vs Grizzlies, I think the odds aren't that gap. Refer to the NBA betting thread if someone puts money on either of these teams on Moneyline.

And about that game between the Bulls and Grizzlies, the latter won in that match. I like how their head Coach is utilizing every part of their roster and not just relying on their main key players.

Any update about Ben Simmons? The trade deadline is almost nearing and I wonder what will happen to him if no contract or negotiation was made until the trade deadline.

Are there any players before who were left hanging because of the trade deadline before?

I think the trade won't save the Lakers. I also don't think that there will be trading offers regarding Russell Westbrook. Browsing some of the NBA rumors, there's no even mentioned or involving Westbrook about it. The best is, limit the playing time of Russell Westbrook and let alone the young guys to take over.

Westbrook will surely understand that to save the team. And he won't complain about that.

Lakers found their new baby. His name is Stanley Johnson. Who the hell is that guy?!  2015 1st Round pick number 8. He is a former Raptors who averages just 4-5 points per game but in this game against the Jazz he shine the most at the fourth quarter of the game. The hustle to pick up the rebound against Gobert, to shoot perimeters while none is trying to defend him, and just doing the right thing. Avoiding errors could always enhance the chance to win the game and they did.

Yeah certainly the Nets are a bit unlucky today, they've made plenty of mistakes in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter, they could have scored but they're overwhelmed by the Cavs defensive tactics and made them missed every shot. Great play by the Cavs there, especially Garland who scored double figures and 12 assists, now they're on their 5th win streak and overtake where the Bucks was seated in the 4th spot.

A dominating win for the Grizzlies as they win by a margin of 13 points. Seems like the Grizzlies have been on very good form lately as they win against the Bulls.

Ja Morant has been insanely good throughout the season as he scored 25 points and so did Bane.  A total of 6 players got 10+ points which indicates the depth of the squad they have! Although DeRozan has also been playing well but it was not enough for the Bulls to get the win as they failed to win once again. The Grizzlies had better team chemistry and they were able to utilize the mistakes the Bulls made and take advantage of them.

Frankly, the Lakers in todays game was impressive because as for me, I also didn't expect the Lakers to win this game against the tough Jazz due to their inconsistency and lack of chemistry which we didn't see it today and it's good to see them striving. Westbrook on the other hand, is slowly getting his play some improvements but it's a bit premature to say that they already improved as we need to see if the Lakers will be consistent in the upcoming games.
Stanley Johnson, the name's a bit new for me to hear but gotta give some good credits to this kid for his performance since he did really shined and led the Lakers to win.
