With their loss earlier against the Clippers against the Heat, their tunnel to participate in the play-in becomes more and more smaller as days goes by. I'd choose the Jazz over the Dallas right now to participate in the post-season games because they certainly got more chances to reach further and it's not impossible to happen.

It seems to me that both teams have almost no chance of even making the play-in tournament. The Jazz has one less win than the Mavs, and it's unlikely they will be able to beat all of their opponents in the remaining games of this season. Same thing with the Mavs, and I don't really believe they can be ahead of the Thunder in the battle for the last play-in tournament spot. Honestly, I don't know the exact reason why the Mavs have performed so poorly, but it's obvious their management made a big mistake as the Luka-Irving duo proved ineffective.

Yeah, the Jazz used to be one of the top team in the West, and Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson was just taking over the new Jazz team. However, when Clarkson got injured, it was very difficult for the Jazz to win games, and their losses are very close.

As compare to the faith of the Mavs, who also did have a good start and then they acquire Kyrie thinking that they are going to improved.

But that is the not the case, not blaming Kyrie though, but it disrupt the chemistry of the team, in my opinion.

The frustration of Luka towards the call of the referees definitely affects his performance. Add also the fact that they are one of the worst defensive teams right now. Their highest place that they can get at this moment is at least the play-in tournament. Good luck with them, and I hope they will get better players in the off-season.

Yes, it was really evident. We can see that it wasn't his confidence to shoot that was impaired, it was his performance, and they got a massive pressure from the management to create a better outcome because they are looking forward to seeing the opposite way because they acquired Kyrie to help Luka. I don't know what's with the management, but I'm sure they know that they aren't that good in defense anymore and that is the consequence for getting an All-star caliber.

We've talk about Luka's frustration even before Kyrie gets on-board though, but right now it's more evident as they might not go to the playoff because it seems that Luka doesn't have control of the team right now. Unlike before when he was just the focal point and everyone is waiting for him to give them the ball. Maybe it's because him and Kyrie are too dominant players? Now sure, but something is not right with the team, the attitude and maybe there were issues in the locker room that we are not aware of.

With their loss earlier against the Clippers against the Heat, their tunnel to participate in the play-in becomes more and more smaller as days goes by. I'd choose the Jazz over the Dallas right now to participate in the post-season games because they certainly got more chances to reach further and it's not impossible to happen.

Jazz is still fighting it right now against the Nets, they made a massive comeback in the fourth quarter and they are just down by 5 right now, with a minute to go. So there is still a good chance for them to upset the Nets and maybe made it to the play-in.

I love the New York Knicks somehow finding a way to steal a win against the strong Cavaliers in their home and without Julius Randle.
Jalen Brunson, 48 monster points! Is he really that small? Grin Who else can score that much at 6'1?!
He's a beast, a low-key beast and I'm sure that is being recognized by most. I can't get over that match because I thought that the first-half shooting machine of Mitchell was already on momentum but then Brunson shows how to beat it.
The knicks are sneaky becoming a team no one wants to see in the playoffs.  They are one of the best road teams and are tough to beat back to back.  They are gritty and withstood a cavs first quarter of 47 points.  No Randle no problem.

And I'm gonna say this someone tell me I'm wrong.  Brunson was the best steal in free agency in the last 10 years.

Dallas declined extending him 4 years for $55mil mid season last year 😂
And there's this now rumor made by how good Knicks are this season and that's to acquire Luka on them. Well, I don't think that it will ever happen and I do agree that Knicks did the right thing by acquiring Brunson.
No one wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs because of how good they are and they are not overrated while we're saying this. It's just common that they're noticeably good and that's why.

Slowly the discussion will come up if Kyrie is actually a winner.

Before lebron returned to the Cavs they were really bad ( obviously without Kyrie they wouldn’t have won that chip though), in Boston he didn’t win anything, we all know what happened in Brooklyn also.

No doubt he is super talented but it seems that’s not enough.

Teams pay him a lot or trade previous assets for him just to get disappointed, this rental ( I doubt he will sign with the Mavs) was one of the worst deals for them in this era. Front office panicked to get Luka a co star and it totally failed .

They throw too much to get Kyrie and they left their defense wide open. No one is left in the Mavs to do the defense for them. They are now mostly offensive teams and we know in NBA that defense is very important and mostly, a defensive team has a better chance of winning than a mostly offensive team.

With their loss earlier against the Clippers against the Heat, their tunnel to participate in the play-in becomes more and more smaller as days goes by. I'd choose the Jazz over the Dallas right now to participate in the post-season games because they certainly got more chances to reach further and it's not impossible to happen.

They still have a chance to join the Play-in tournament but they have to win most of the 4 games left they have. It is hard to do but it is still doable. Maybe not for Jazz since they have 2 Lakers games and a Nugget game ahead of them. I do not think they will make the play-in but Mavs still has a chance to get in. They have Hawks, Kings, Bulls and Spurs as their remaining games in the season.

I actually didn't saw that coming because that specific game was hard to imagine for the Knicks, without Randle who tries to force his way through the opposing team's defense, they will really have a hard time. But, that's not what happened and I was surprised because Brunson proved that he can still give the team another win without Randle. For him, it seems that it's no biggy, really.
Didn't saw that coming too.
I was rooting for the Cavaliers on that game because for obvious reasons that Randle will not play and the Cavs are too strong for them to win.
Brunson might have felt better as all eyes are on him instead of being divided when Randle is around who loves ball hogging too. Now they are playing against the Wizards, I am waiting for Brunson to explode one more time and seal that 5th spot in the East and safe passage to the playoffs.

Who else can score that much at 6'1?!
Allen Iverson? The man is rumored to be 5'11 even if he was listed to be 6 flat.
Great memory.  Wink Allen Iverson is without a doubt a monster offensive player in his time.
But I am thinking about one player in this era. Still playing. I think Steph Curry is next to the smallest player who can score like Brunson and then there's Ja Morant and Trae Young.

Intense! Brooklyn Nets win the game with only 1 point lead. 111-110

Unfortunate result for the Utah Jazz as they are close to stealing that game providing the effort they did on that comeback.

That lose is a big deal for the Jazz for the attempt to even make it to the play-in tournament.

Guys, Anthony Davis was a monster against the Rockets. He's got 40 points while Lebron also helped the team to win 18 points. They considerably have good assists and rebounds as well. And this is the AD that we're all wanting to see. He just needs to keep himself healthy and the Lakers from the pit going up then. And with another team that I'm talking about recently, the Knicks. They've just won as well against the Wizards. Brunson delivered again the team with 27 points!

Yes, lots of missed free throws by the Nets at the close of the games, that pushed the Jazz to make a comeback and lost by just 1 point. Curry missed both his free throws and then the Jazz gets the rebound, but not sure why not Kelly Olynyk passed the ball, maybe he wanted to become a hero in this game but his shot was completely off.

No Jokic for the Nuggets against the Warriors in their home court, but the Warriors can take advantage of that as they are down in the last 4 minutes of game. It was a close game until the break out run by the Nuggets to outscored the Warriors in the 4th quarter.

How about the game between the Bucks and the Sixers, two MVP in the game, but in the end it was all Giannis as he lead the Bucks to a huge victory against Joel Embiid and his Sixers.

They started hot in the 1st quarter, and if I'm not mistaken they like 7 out of 7 in the field to take a double digit lead. And after that, the Bucks didn't get up any, although they've close the gap in the 3td quarter until they hit back to back threes and then Giannis scoring in the last 2 minutes as he had a mismatch. Brook Lopez too was able to hold his ground against Joel. And with this win, they've solidify their top spot in the East.

Klay Thompson tried to play as a hero but he failed. Crappy play.
The biggest threat in 3-point shooting was so open they forget to think about him. If only it was Donte DiVicenzo who got the offensive rebound, the ending will be different.

I mean just look at that last play. 2.8 seconds remaining in the clock and Thompson got it back, and shoot it in a rush, but he was blocked by Murray.
What if he just thought about passing it to the best three-point shooter in the league?
2.8 is enough or maybe even less for his reload and then fire.
That could've shocked the whole Denver Nuggets Ball Arena or better, they will cheer for Chef Curry.
Very bad loss, they want it badly but cannot get it. I can sense a tiebreaker may happen at the 5th to 8th rank.

I also watched the game, and after that game, one of the cameraman focused the camera on Curry, and he is obviously feeling frustrated because of what happened, and knowing that he is free from the side, I would rather give the last shot to Curry than Thompson, and Curry has a faster release than him as well, so I expect that the remaining time is enough for him to make a final shot.

The Warriors are leading for most of the first half, and there was a time where they had a double-digit lead, but they can't hold that lead, and the Nuggets took advantage of it, got the lead, and winning the game eventually. One Nuggets player that stood out on this game was a rookie named Peyton Watson who only has 8 points & 5 rebounds, but his 3 blocks and some defensive stops against the Warriors was a big factor especially in the crucial minutes of the game.

Anyway, Splash Brothers only has a combined FG of 17/56, and only has 46 points. That's too bad knowing how good at them especially from threes where they only shot a combined 7/30. Well, it is what it is. Nuggets got their first win without Jokic. With how close the standings now in the West, I think I'll agree with you that there might be a tiebreaker in the 5th to 8th seed, but still it will depend on the outcome of their remaining games.

I think the Lakers will be in the number 7 spot after the end of the regular season games because the Number 9 and 6 are strong teams that are hard to beat in their current state and it would be best for the Lakers to also continue winning every remaining game and continue to push their chance towards the NBA playoffs.

I didn't see the game to be honest, so not sure what really goes on that play. But it was very close from what I read and it was just in the fourth quarter that the Nuggets take the lead. But they can't get out of it and give the Warriors a lot of chance in that game.

Probably we can compare it when Poole take that shot before and Curry throw his mouth guard and then he was ejected in the game if I'm not mistaken, agains the Grizzlies. So it must be the same feeling that he got today, unfortunately, they won that time. But this time they have their chances to win if Klay just passed him the ball.

So yes, it was an ugly loss for them, they could have secure their spot and now they will have to wait for the other games and see what team losses and what them will gain.

They're truly amazing in these remaining games and they won 6 out of their last 7 games, this is how they should when they are about to enter the NBA play-in tournament and it should be enough warm up to sweep whoever their opponent might be. I think the Lakers will be in the number 7 spot after the end of the regular season games because the Number 9 and 6 are strong teams that are hard to beat in their current state and it would be best for the Lakers to also continue winning every remaining game and continue to push their chance towards the NBA playoffs.

Although its hard task for them to continue this win streak up to their remaining games at least they are now sure on play in contention. But who knows Lakers now gather good momentum and confidence so maybe there might be good things to come with them and surpass Warriors on 6 spot on West. Another 1 more lose for Warriors and 1 win for Lakers then they might officially take out the 6 spot in standings.

Yup, all the remaining games are very important for each team they are working with position and it's important to keep winning games to make sure you are going to enter the playoff and be away from a play-inn.

Let see how they will continue as they really improve their game. AD with LeBron, D'Lo and Reaves. They are all
out to fight and win games, looking forward to see them playing at the same level.

The Warriors, on the other hand, might see themselves standing in the safe spot at 5th if ever the Nuggets will just rest Jokic and their stars.
Next to it is the Thunder and then the Kings which I think will be given by Coach Brown as a thank-you for Steve Kerr.  Cheesy
We are getting near the playoffs, expect a more intense game especially if both teams are in vital positions.

I wish they have won the game against the Denver Nuggets but it was really a close game, the Warriors are getting into it at the start of the game until the 2nd half and Nikola Jokić doesn't play the game but still, but they Warriors lost a close game, with the Nuggets certainly the Denver Nuggets is not all about Nikola Jokić, while the Poole Party doesn't really stand a chance on the Nuggets defense,

No Jokic for the Nuggets against the Warriors in their home court, but the Warriors can take advantage of that as they are down in the last 4 minutes of game. It was a close game until the break out run by the Nuggets to outscored the Warriors in the 4th quarter.

I agree they can surely work it to their advantage, but because they are not on the home court they are likely to win against the Nuggets could also be plausible, actually, the Golden State Warriors need to make efforts in also win an away game but yeah, they just have a hard time doing it but the game against  the Nugget is what you call a handicap for them but yeah they still lost but if they can still manage to maintain their position I think they can still make it up the play-offs,

Lakers had an excellent performance in this game, in the first period the lakers won with a big difference of points, they were 14 points of difference, already in the second period the rockets managed to improve and they won by a difference of 4 points, until one would think that the lakers would get worse in the third period, but on the contrary the lakers improved more in the third period and managed to win by a difference of 8 points, already in the fourth period again the lakers managed to win by more by 7 points

looking at this game the lakers managed to score more than 30 points in each period, which is something very good, without a doubt that Anthony Davis had a very important role in this game, he managed to score 40 points, in the last game against wolves lebron as well scored 18 points and Anthony Davis scored 38 points, before the game against the wolves, the lakers played against the bulls and lebron scored 25 points and Anthony Davis scored 38 points, it seems to me that Anthony Davis' points average is constantly above 35 points in the last few games, and something very good for him

But there are few remaining games and they are 1 game ahead of lakers so imagine what will happen to them if they lose on their next game and lakers win? Provably they will drop into play in and lakers can get their spot to playoffs. To crazy things that can possibly happen and this is what makes this series more exciting because there are to many events to speculate. They also need to fix their problem on their road games since it seems that they have curse and they are continue losing on their road games.

We already knew that Davis is capable of giving his team these kind of numbers. It's just that most of us forget that he is doing it because in our my mind, what we often thinks about him is his injuries. He's the main guy back when he is on the Pelicans and carried his team to the 8th seeded a few years ago, but got swept in the first round.

He got 40 points while Lebron got a triple double. It's good that Lebron isn't focusing that much on scoring anymore because he doesn't need to TBH. He has reliable team members who can step up when needed. Players like Reaves, Russell, and even Schroeder, Beasley, and Hachimura can step up offensively especially Rui on this game where he got a double-double 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Right now, they're at the 7th seed, but only 0.5 games behind the 5th seeded Clippers. Their remaining four games will be against Utah (twice), Clippers, and Phoenix. I'm pretty sure that they can beat the Jazz twice, but they might be having a hard time beating Clippers and Phoenix, but if they manage to win on them, I think there's a chance that they can get the 5th seed. Of course it will all depend on the remaining games of the Clippers and the Warriors.
