I’m surprised how much attention Bronny is getting. My news feed is full of people seemingly happy that he’s having such a hard time. Jaylen Brown even caught on the sidelines talking about how he doesn’t think Bronny is an NBA player and will be in the G-league soon. Poor kid is having a rough time for sure so far.

That's just what it is, I mean even here in our own community, we thought that Bronny is not yet ready for the big league or if he will be ready even if he did college basketball because it's really different here.

And I don't think the players are going to give him special treatment as well, on the contrary there are a lot of players that wanted to give him the "welcome to the NBA" moments, and I'm wondering who will it be. Maybe giving Bronny a hard pick or just posterizing him,  .

Definitely, other teams might be interested of his services and could sign a good to decent contract. However, since he is with the Lakers, he should take advantage of this situation be guided by his father and try to really improved his game.

And even if he has a full contract, you will never know, even star players are traded and for sure Lebron has thought that to Bronny already.

So plenty of time for him to improved and be at least half of what his father did during his prime.

Yup, he needs to work harder as he's being eyed by criticizm though it's good whatever it is that's publicity and his name will keep popping up from time to time, I like the way Lakers is using him but long term wise he needs to continue improving his game and like what you said he needs to accomplish something or else his NBA career will be shorter.

LeBron's influence might last for another 1-3 years enough time to give Bronny's his minutes to showcase his talents, we never know what will be his future but everything is monitored by both fans and critics.

I feel like he won't play that long, he will probably retire after this year if he feels like it, but we still don't know, dude is still okay.

Bronny on the other hand looks like he needs to calm down a bit first, he is missing shots that he normally makes, anyone who has seen his tapes, or his stats, would know that he can hit a wide open three, he is athletic a bit, not like his father of course, but nobody is athletic like his father, but shooting three is something Bronny can do a bit, like at least when he is open, and he is missing even those, hell he is missing FT's at a higher rate. Either that is because he is stressed about finally being in the NBA, which lets face it who wouldn't, or he is just letting all these nepotism callers get to his head.

He should use those criticizm to prove something and not to let to it go inside his brain, he need something to shutup his crtics by giving them good performance, I guess it takes time but with a wide range coverage of social media it's not going to be easy for this young player, he will continue to gain the attention as he's a good source of stories.

Bad or good content will still grab the attentions of the readers and viewers, it's not easy to be on his shoe as he's been judge already without allowing him to perform fully in this coming season.

Not sure if there are players that are disrespecting Lebron, maybe after he retires we will hear stories how other players treat him. But for now, I'm not seeing any respect (I could be wrong though, this is just my observation). They even called him for his flop, but you can't hear stories of Jordan flopping or missing some games because of injuries. And we all know that is what Bronny is, he is not yet in the level, and the Lakers pick him up because of Lebron James. And it could be that Lakers misses another of their target in Gary Trent Jr, when he signs a one year contract with the Bucks already?

With that, everything is on Bronny, he will really have to live up the hype of being Lebron James son. Although there are a lot of great rookies as well in this class. And just imagine out of nowhere, Bronny proved everyone wrong by winning ROTY award, that will be fitting for him and to Lebron too. But that is a long shot and the chances are very slim.

Maybe he has some better offer outside the NBA, but he will be miss for sure as if he'll just being utilized well, he could help the team in terms of defense. Unfortunately for him, he landed on a bad team, a team that is just full of hype but struggled in the playoffs. Lillard + Giannis, not really a good pair iMO.

Starting from his college basketball, to being drafted and to his plays, the kid is always getting the hate. Well, he can't avoid that and he can learn from his dad on how to just ignore all of the hate that's being thrown to him. He's starting out his career and people are laughing at how low the points he's contributing to their recent games. People should also talk about Alex Sarr, the second draft pick by the Washington Wizards and look at the numbers that he's contributed to their most recent game.

I’ve never followed college basketball much, but from the podcasts I’ve watched with NBA players talking about the situation, they claim that Bronny has been trained for the NBA since day 1 and college ball is more about fitting into a system. That’s the excuse anyway. I think his college numbers would justify a starting role had he stayed, but I also think his height is a major factor that will limit his NBA effectiveness. It should also be noted I have a terrible track record of predicting how young players will fare in the NBA. I thought Wiggins would be the next MJ and I thought LaMelo would be a bust.

It is only natural that Bronny got this much attention, for basically two main reasons aside from him being Lebrons son. First of all, the draft is weak, there aren't anyone who deserves more talk, like not a lot of people know even who the first pick is, everyone talks about Bronny so much that if we asked even NBA fans, they wouldn't be able to name top three picks, because it is a terrible draft and not any good players will come out of this. I would be shocked to see if there are 10 players who play 10 seasons out of this draft, majority of them will be overseas much sooner, but you don't get to say "I rather not pick", if you have a draft right, you pick someone "just in case" and if they are as bad as you think they are, you just don't sign them back.

Bronny talks are mainly (aside from being lebrons son) because of this, because if there was some superstar potential player, like if Wemby was drafted this year, that would have probably taken some attention away from Bronny. Secondly, he was not ready, not because he is bad, but because he had some medical conditions and did not play, he should have played a bit, not to be better, but to gain experience, he did not ,so he is "basically" like from high school to NBA, and very rare amount of players can do that successfully.

Orlando is one of the good teams in Summer League. They won both games they played and in the last game they managed to get scoring contributions from every player who came into the game. Tristan Da Silva, Jett Howard and Jay Huff were the standouts. Memphis also won the two games they played and was notable for its high scoring production. I think both teams will up the tempo in this game and we will see a high scoring game.

6’2 - 210lb ..good bulk for his height , but yeah obviously 6’2 is a long ways off from 6’8 like his old man. Its also a different story if you’ve got ball handling skills like crazy, but I’m not sure he does (still hard to believe guys like Mugsy and Spud played in the league..how epic were those hornets teams tho).

Yeah from what you mentioned the dudes on the podcasts are saying, it does feel more like an excuse than a legitimate argument, but I guess we will see. Not too long ago I heard his bro was likely to be the better of the two. He’s definitely taller I know. Will be really interesting to see how it plays out.  Will be even more interesting to see them playing together this coming year. I think no matter what, regardless of Bronnys play in the D League, we’re gunna see him up on the Lakers at some point. Thats his dads dream and they may not have another opportunity being Lebron getting so “old” and Bronny maybe never good enough to play in the league without his pops influence.

Yeah he get more than that in NBA, He also receive an offer from Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets a minimum veteran contract which is more than what he can get from Hapoel Tel Aviv. But I guess he decide to go on Europe and continue his journey there.

Also for Embiid yeah many notice his exhibition match performance but, its no bearing game that's why its expected that they won't give all since for sure they are reserving their energy for more important games and also they try to avoid major injuries.

People should also talk about Alex Sarr, the second draft pick by the Washington Wizards and look at the numbers that he's contributed to their most recent game. 

I also remember when Trae Young played awfully during the Summer League (almost the same as Alex Sarr) but look where he's at right now. Main star of the Hawks. I'm not saying that Alex Sarr will be the same as him, but I think let's not focus too much on the Summer League and their performances. Focus on how they will be playing in the NBA once it starts.

Yes, and it's because of his dad. I don't want to assume and conclude, but based on how he's playing in the Summer League, there's a chance that he might not even start, unless his father intervenes.

If Bronny is just an ordinary player with those kinds of stats when he's in college, will he get drafted in the NBA? % 5 PPG during his stint with USC? Hell, no, but it is what it is. He got drafted in the NBA because of his dad, and he also got a 4-year $8M guaranteed contract again because of his dad. It's just very disappointing how Le-GM abuses his power to do the things he wants. I believe this is also one reason why other players don't want to play in LA like DeMar, Klay, and even Harden.

So true. It's all Bronny and Lebron in basketball media, and the top 3 draft picks are not getting the television time they can so that they can also be popular like Wemby, Chet, Paulo, etc... They do not even throw good news about him but because more people will watch it and so they will use it.

Lauri Markkanen will know where he's starting the season, one way or another, by Aug. 6.

The Golden State Warriors, by all accounts, are the most aggressive Markkanen suitor. The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that the Warriors have discussed an offer around Moses Moody, multiple first-round picks, multiple pick swaps and multiple second-round picks. That's not enough to make a deal and the Warriors probably know that. But the Jazz are reportedly asking for all of that stuff, plus Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski. This is obviously too much, and the Jazz probably know that too.

That's a lot of players that the Warriors will lose if they will add Jonathan Kuminga and Podziemski. For Markkanen I think that will only be fair but if the Warriors really see their young guys' value then I will take out that multiple first-round picks and just trade Kuminga + Podziemski instead. Sure, Markkanen is a rising star but so is Kuminga who had been playing great in the last half of the last season. He is growing and getting more aggressive and soon he will also be one of the stars. Podziemski has done the same which I think is the reason why the Utah Jazz are interested in them.
If it materializes, it will be a hard decision for the Warriors. I know they need a new face for their team because Curry ain't going younger but will they destroy the chemistry built with those young guys for a new face?

NBA players usually go overseas only if they don't get acceptable offers from NBA teams, i.e. they are not needed in the NBA. So that 4 million dollar contract is a good deal for him, considering he is already 36 years old.

Maybe no one in the NBA likes Beverley, but I think he has good defensive skills, and he clearly deserves the veteran minimum.
