The world is becoming too greedy plain and simple. Entertainers make way too much money and are valued more than the people that actually matter. Doctors, teachers, police, firemen, nurses, and those that actually provide valuable services to the world. We as a people need to completely boycott these streaming services and let people know we don't need or want them, but that will never happen. Teams of all sports need a wake up call. You used to be able to take your kids to a game and spend $100-200 for 3 people total. That included parking, tickets, food, and a snack. Now a 3 person group taking a night out to go to a sporting event will spend $500 easy and that's sitting in the nosebleed seats. INSANE!!!!

It has always been the case that the labor of those in the entertainment industry is valued much higher than that of those who work as doctors, firefighters, scientists, etc. But that's a question for government officials who spend budgets on anything but raising salaries for people in those professions.
As for $500 to attend a sporting event, I agree with you. For example, a ticket to a more or less normal seat at the Olympics can cost 400-600 euros, and the price of tickets for some seats at the recent showcase games of the US team was more than $1,5k.
And the price of tickets for the NBA final series matches is better not to remember at all. Grin

I guess we can't change that; it seems like people are more willing to spend on entertainment than on other important things in life, so the industry is getting big money. I think one of the reasons is also the gambling industry. While there's no direct proof, I have a feeling that if the government were to ban gambling on sports across the world, those contracts would likely drop. The gambling industry is so huge, generating billions if not trillions of dollars, and they owe a lot to the sports organizers. Without sports, their industry wouldn't exist.
