I just saw this news that Evan Fournier probably have played his last games in the NBA last season. He's signing with Olympiacos, in Greece for three years. Maybe he might come back after this contract or if there's a team that will still take and sign him once his contract expires there.

I agree that Buddy Hield will not be able to replace Klay, it's not the same thing, ten years of training together and just a recent trade is not the same thing.

I feel like Klay should have stayed, and neither will Klay do great at Dallas, nor Buddy will do great at Warriors if you ask me. In fact, I also think that Buddy would have done better than Klay at Dallas, and Klay was doing great at Warriors, just one bad off season shouldn't have resulted with him leaving, that doesn't make sense at all, it should have been much simpler situation. I think it's clear that we are going to do fine, and we need to see Buddy and Curry playing together. If they do as well as they hope, then the result will be fine but I doubt it.

Yeah, I think he had a good career, he was once a Boston Celtics as well if I'm not mistaken and one of their perimeter specialist and then move to NYK and still has that kind of shooting touch, however, he hasn't been given enough time to really show his talent.

But at least he still had a career outside of the NBA and most likely his showing in the Olympics could have been a big factor for him to be sign by olympiacos for the next 3 years and it could have been a good contract as well.

There's going to be a lot of what if and speculation if Klay wouldn't left the Warriors, and it's really hard to see a team break up like that.  I mean they have built dynasty already, Curry, Dray and Klay and we wouldn't forget his records that he has done in the Warriors uniform and his clutch 3's.

For Buddy Hield, I think the expectations from him are big as others or fans think that he is a going to be a replacement or even a upgrade of Klay. But we can't predict the future, but for sure Hield knows the pressure and if he is really a great players then he block all this noises and just play as he used to be and contribute in his own way.

I think the Golden State Warriors will get to the playoffs this season because last season, they only reached the play-in tournament. The reason I believe the Warriors will make it this season is that Thompson was really the problem last season, I mean in short Thompson out to GSW equals Playoffs for Warriors this year. Thompson wasn't as consistent anymore, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors didn't offer him anything good and let him go. As for Buddy Hield, I trust Steve Kerr to find a way to make it work, but of course team chemistry is also important. I just think that by letting go of Thompson, Warriors run will improve this season.
I hope you are right on that analysis because chemistry for me had been a great deal for teams to win the championship or reach the playoffs. I mean, the Boston Celtics had that chemistry, and before them is the Denver Nuggets who also built a great team chemistry before they won a championship.

Since there's not much changes in the Warriors roster except for Klay Thompson, I think they still have that strong unity and they will only have to slowly add Buddy Hield to that rotation to make it work.
Steve Kerr's style is more like his former coaches who don't rely on just one player, I think it will be easy for him to make something out of their new player.

Still, I don't see the Warriors in the championship, for the West it might be Klay who will be up there with Kyrie and Luka or the Timberwolves for the West.

Hard to say that he can't since its like we downplay him and think about he's not good. Hield prepare so much and make his self perfectly fit on this season since for sure he want to impress people and prove that he's capable to bring good numbers to his current team. He has decent stats on his past team and if he get a important role in GSW roster then provably we see his numbers rise. For now we cannot really expect anything huge from them. But if it happens that they immediately click together with their new players and have good chemistry there's a chance that Warriors will became a title contender again this season.

Let's just see on what will happen to their rotation if their new roster addition will bring success to their team. Expectation is huge from Buddy Hield so hopefully we can see him meet the expectation of GSW fans.

Still, I don't see the Warriors in the championship, for the West it might be Klay who will be up there with Kyrie and Luka or the Timberwolves for the West.

The Mavs will be interesting to watch in the upcoming season. At least, it seems to me that Luka, Kyrie, and Klay will be able to make some progress and probably go deep into the playoffs again. As for the Wolves, I have my doubts about them, especially after their poor performance in the Western Conference finals last playoffs.

Agree to that, what he shows up during Olympics gives him that chance to get that contract outside NBA, it's better to take that instead of keep sitting down and watch the game, I mean aside from the money there's no reason to stay if he's not going to get that minutes and give him that chance to showcase his talents.

Though if in case that he keeps showing decent numbers from his new team who knows maybe another opportunity will be open for him all will going to depends from how he will perform.

Yeah, it makes the Mavs one of the favorites if I'm not mistaken before of the addition of Klay Thompson. But just like when we talk about on the other side, Warriors has Hield and he could or could not replace Klay.

On the other hand, we have a lot of questions whether Klay has still some extra on his body after that bad season he had with the Warriors that push either one of them to not be engage on negotiations for him to stay as a Warrior for the rest of his career.

That's a big question, but we will find out in the coming season. However, even if Klay may not return to his old self, as long as he can still contribute, I think the Mavs will improve. This is because Klay has the maturity from his experience as a multiple-time champion, so it's definitely a good catch for the Mavs.

Klay's shooting was probably affected by his chemistry with the team. Gradually, he hasn't felt the confidence he once had, perhaps due to criticism of his performance or because the team hasn't given him enough time to recover and regain his old form.

I’m going to come right out and say it. Klay is washed. Physically, he is a shell of his former self. Mentally, his confidence is shot. I think he not only has a terrible year that makes Mark Cuban regret signing him, but I think his play and roster spot will actually make Dallas a worse team and close their window for winning a championship. Ultimately, this will be why Luka ends up a Laker.

I just saw this news that Evan Fournier probably have played his last games in the NBA last season. He's signing with Olympiacos, in Greece for three years. Maybe he might come back after this contract or if there's a team that will still take and sign him once his contract expires there.

Source: Evan Fournier signing with Olympiacos for the next three years

I don't blame him honestly.  He made a good amount of money here.  He is pretty much relegated to riding pine for most of the games so what else would he want to stay here for except for that championship ring.  In Greece he will be playing meaningful minutes in meaningful games.  Liked when the Knicks picked him up and won't forget his first game in a knicks jersey against Boston.
On their end, it's a thing to get a ring in the NBA. But if it's about making money, most of the players now understands that it's all about making money outside the league. It's true that he's made a lot of money here and will make more afterwards. Players like Evan when playing outside NBA, they're given more playing time and treated as a star so, that's more than a ring to them and he's able to represent France and got a silver. That's already flying colors for his career there.

Agree to that, what he shows up during Olympics gives him that chance to get that contract outside NBA, it's better to take that instead of keep sitting down and watch the game, I mean aside from the money there's no reason to stay if he's not going to get that minutes and give him that chance to showcase his talents.
Yup, it's all about getting playing time. I'm sure that players like him want to earn good money but aside from that, the love for the game and actually play. I wish him luck playing in Greece and this is what happens to most of the NBA players that will get out of the league, they won't just be out without having some nice contracts in offshore leagues.

As for the Wolves, I have my doubts about them, especially after their poor performance in the Western Conference finals last playoffs.
Edwards is just 23 years old. Still considered young, and with the players surrounding him, I will not be surprised if they will get their first title with him as their main star.

It might not be next year because of how tough the West is, but him surrounded with good players like KAT, Gobert, and other good role players? I can say that the Wolves will be a playoff contender for the next years to come. If there's a chance that's needed with the team, they need to trade KAT for a better all-star player because he's very inconsistent during the playoffs that caused them to lose to the Mavericks.
I just saw this news that Evan Fournier probably have played his last games in the NBA last season. He's signing with Olympiacos, in Greece for three years. Maybe he might come back after this contract or if there's a team that will still take and sign him once his contract expires there.

Source: Evan Fournier signing with Olympiacos for the next three years
Good choice coming from him.
I would rather want to see him having more playing time overseas than in the NBA where most of the time, he's just benched. I mean he can just be a good three-point shooter and we just saw it in the recent Olympics.
I’m going to come right out and say it. Klay is washed. Physically, he is a shell of his former self. Mentally, his confidence is shot. I will agree that Klay is washed, and Cuban might've regret signing him... UNTIL WE SEE HOW HE PERFORMS NOW THAT HE'S ON ANOTHER TEAM.

In his final 2-3 years in Golden State, he's inconsistent and not reliable on offense at all. I would say that the injuries that he got affected his overall performance, but now that he's with another team, this might either be his revenge year, or his bust year. Whatever happens, it's too early for me to judge Klay, and I respect your opinion though, but I would like to see it if Klay really is washed now that he's with another team already. We know that there are some players who played awfully with their past team, but played like an all-star on their new team. Smiley

Yeah, his Olympics stint with his team was actually good and impressive and when he's back to NBA, for sure that he's not going to be utilized. I think that matches from the Olympics did helped him in deciding to take this deal and contract from Olympiacos. So, it was really indeed a great decision for him and no regrets and other players will definitely grab those opportunities if happen that they've got a contract. And I think that if Giannis will someday lose his prime, there is for sure the league in Greece that will take him for sure.

Maybe you haven't seen this yet everybody. Some courts in our country have made a mural of Kyrie Irving.
It was great piece of art and there are a lot of courts here even in the streets. This is the kind of appreciation that my fellow countrymen gave to their idols like Kyrie. Kyrie has acknowledged this and looking forward to visit the place next year. IIRC, I've also seen a personal rooftop that has made a mural of him too but I forgot the artist.

Klay is not young anymore, while I do agree that he will want a "revenge season" type of thing, where he ends up playing much better and with Irving and Doncic, they may try to win the title once again, I also think that even if he wants to be better, he may not be able to, not saying he won't, just saying he may not be able to because we are talking about a player who is old now and he was seriously injured, coming back from ACL isn't simple at all.

This is why he may play very badly this season too, and Dallas may regret their decision, or maybe he will prove me wrong and he will do just fine, there is really nothing that I am sure about this, I am just making a prediction.

Reality is that we are talking about a player who has been one of the greatest shooters of all time, he shouldn't really lose his shooting, even with ACL injury, his shooting should be there and for some reason it wasn't there last season, so it looks like maybe he could make a comeback and be a lot better. I think it's clear that we are going to end up with a lot better result than anticipated. The good thing is that we should be considering Warriors and Hield decision as something they took a risk with for sure.

I've seen this one on the news and the artist who did it is Maya Carandang. I have no idea about the rooftop though and I have not seen that yet.

Steph Curry said something just recently.
Stephen Curry says being an NBA owner someday ‘definitely on the table’
https://www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/stephen-curry-says-being-an-nba-owner-someday-definitely-on-the-table

Quote
Michael Jordan set the bar for NBA players jumping to ownership when he purchased the Charlotte Hornets. Grant Hill (Hawks), Shaquille O’Neal (Kings), Dwyane Wade (Jazz) and Magic Johnson (Lakers) have had roles as minority NBA owners. LeBron James has made it clear he wants to be part of the ownership group if (more accurately, when) a Las Vegas NBA expansion franchise is announced.

Stephen Curry wants to join the club, he said on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.”

Why not? I think he has the money to be a co-owner of one franchise.
He still has a big deal with the Warriors and that will add up to his savings which will probably make him a majority owner of one team. This is just a big proof of how much he loves the sport.
There are players who just want to take their rest or some end up as sports analysts on different sports channels. Being an owner will be different because next to it will be criticisms from those basketball analysts and we have seen how many times Jordan's name comes out of the news while the Hornets are always deep in the standings.

Just imagine though Mark Cuban regretting his decision to get Klay and offering him millions as a Mavs. Yes, we have seen that mentally he thinks that he is still that game 6 Klay we all know. But his last game with the Warriors proved otherwise. Although I'm still thinking that he might have some game in him with the Dallas but it will not be consistent and it will be frustrating for him. And this is still Luka's team though, we don't know if they can build a good chemistry together with Kyrie. Sometimes it takes just two good player or three to go to the championship and win a ring. But that question still hangs as how Klay will be if he is already washed or not.

I have to lean toward more with the Timberwolves IF Ant Edwards will become even more mature with his game. I mean the guy has a talent. He can score anywhere, he's explosive and fast and agile. Now, he needs to lead his team. They are seriously strong and looks like a complete roster. KAT, Gobert are a twin tower, Mike Conley is a good point guard, and not to mention they also have the 6th man of the year.
I'm actually pretty excited how they will bounce back this upcoming season.

Given how much Curry has earned during his career in the NBA and for various advertising contracts, then yes, he may become a co-owner of one of the teams by buying a small share. As far as I know now, the average team in the NBA is estimated at $3,8 billion, and the most expensive team is the Warriors, which are estimated at 7,7 billion.
