Lol uh I don't think the Spurs are giving up wemby.  He is literally one of the leagues most untraceable player.  I hate to say that but I don't think there is a trade package they would even consider for him.  Kid has the world in front of them and I hate to say I was wrong but he can carry a franchise multiple championships in the future so long as he stays healthy.  And golden state is toast, at best a playin team.

Yeah right, consider how Spurs management move towards developing players with potential they usually keep all the promising players once they drafted
Ike what they did with Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and many more promising player during their rookie days.

I think they are just waiting for another solid rookie drop to develop a solid team but right now they have bullshit jealous players against Wemby that’s why they are struggling to the bottom rank.

Pretty sure Curry will retire a Warrior. He will never leave that team. The only way they are teammates is if Lebron goes to Golden State or if they're both in the next olympics together. Being as that would be 4 years away, I doubt we see them in the olympics together.

Honestly they prob both retire within 2 years. I could see that as more of a possibility than them being on a team together.
If we're talking about Olympics here, Lebron will be 43 at that time, and if he will play, he will get another achievement again as he will be the oldest male basketball player to ever play in the Olympics. Currently the holder of that record is Marcelo Huertas of Brazil that an age of 41 years, 63 days.

If Lebron really wants to play with Steph, he will be the one going to Golden State because like you, I don't also see Steph not retiring on a Warriors jersey as well. Lebron after this upcoming season will be on a Player Option and he can opt out on that $52,000,000 contract just to have a huge pay cut but he will be playing alongside one of the greatest shooters of all time. The Warriors management can't afford both Steph and Lebron if they will have a contract that they have right now. That would be a disaster for them knowing that both are almost past their prime at that time.

Overall, a huge pay cut for Lebron is an option which I don't think he wants. Another option is that, we are just dreaming because this scenario will never happen. Cheesy

August 24th is upon us. I really think the NBA should put on some sort of event or something every year on 8/24 for Kobe. Maybe an offseason scrimmage between the NBA Finalists or some sort of skills challenge. Nothing crazy, just an excuse to celebrate Kobe with a bunch of other NBA fans. Would be cool if the Staples Center played a Kobe highlights movie for fans or something…

Lol they don't have bullshit jealous players, they just have a young team.  It happens during every rebuild.  Wemby is going to need a couple years of playing in the NBA before he can start walking them into the playoffs.  Has nothing to do with jealousy they just aremt that good right now.  A couple of vets and couple more hits in the draft and they will be set up.

Nice idea. Kobe is the biggest legend for everyone. One day, when Jordan and Lebron die, we will show the same respect to them and ask for memorial ceremonies to be held for them, too. Kobe was much different and much more special than other basketball players, it is a very good idea to remember him this way. Jersey number 24 will always be one of the most special jerseys

I don’t know if we’re seeing hype in the news about these two joining up or if there’s any real interest there, but it seems like something is afoot. The Warriors really tried to get LeBron at the trade deadline last year, so there is hope for this team up. At least that’s what I’m choosing to believe. LeBron with a shooter like Steph on his team would be deadly. Even at this age.
Both of them have their legacies already but if they're after another history and more of legacies, it's still possible to see them teaming up while they're still on the league.

They are influential to their team's and management's decision and that's why they can move freely however they want as long as it is allowed based on the contract that they've signed or when they are in free agency.

I think teaming up would not only be the most entertaining outcome, but it’s probably the only way either of them will win another championship. They’re both so old and make so much money now, it’s difficult for either of them to draw in the sort of help they would need. Especially with retirement right around the corner. If Steph goes to Los Angeles he gets the best rebounder he’s ever had and the best penetrate and kick guy he’s ever had. It could be magic…
Certainly it's magic.

Either way or whoever is able to adjust, that will be another history in the making. The division of having the GOATs on this generation will be in tandem.

No more splash brothers then so, it makes sense with all of the money and honor that they have already, what's more to ask? another ring.

Would you agree with the prediction of the ESPN that the Lakers will fall and will only finish at the number 11th spot?

Here's the prediction from ESPN.

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/40940111/nba-predictions-2024-25-win-loss-records-warriors-thunder-every-west-team

Quote
The contenders
1. Oklahoma City Thunder: 57-25

2. Minnesota Timberwolves: 54-28

3. Dallas Mavericks: 52-30

4. Denver Nuggets: 52-30

5. Phoenix Suns: 49-33

6. Sacramento Kings: 47-35

The play-in group
7. New Orleans Pelicans: 46-36

8. Golden State Warriors: 45-37

9. Memphis Grizzlies: 44-38

10. Houston Rockets: 44-38

The bottom five
11. Los Angeles Lakers: 44-38

12. LA Clippers: 43-39

13. San Antonio Spurs: 35-47

14. Utah Jazz: 26-56

15. Portland Trail Blazers: 22-60

Factors that affected the Lakers for the expert to came up with that prediction is the new coach JJ Reddick and probably not adding some role players that would improve the roster.

Nah, I don't think so.
You are right, they have a strong coaching staff there. It might actually be their ace there and if the players could implement the plays correctly then I bet the Lakers will be difficult to defeat.
Let's not forget they still have AD and Lebron. That duo is not something to underestimate and it's not like Lebron is slowing down that much. The predictions probably added some injury problem which is why they went that far and considered the history of AD's injury. But what if he plays healthy the whole season? It will change the results a lot.

I think the Twolves will be on top of the West this season. I understand their top 4 using the last season's records but it could change drastically if injuries happen.

Coaching staff might not be a problem with the Lakers as Lebron will just gonna be influence it anyway. So IMO, it's more on the health of the key players like Lebron and AD, if both are healthy, they might be at the top 6 next season and won't have a problem anymore in going to the playoffs. A lot of speculation regarding JJ Redick as he is still young and doesn't have much experience as a coach but was hired by a popular team the Lakers. Also, the name Bronny will always be in the conversation and fans might be underestimating him not expecting he can contribute some quality minutes.

I think the Twolves will be on top of the West this season. I understand their top 4 using the last season's records but it could change drastically if injuries happen.
They could be if they'll be consistent from the start, and of course Towns should be healthy so they'll keep their dominance in the paint. As other teams have made an adjustment, pretty sure Wolves also made a major adjustment and expect them to have a better season in the coming season.

Maybe ESPN just disappointed with past draft result and Lakers didn't get good piece via trades that's why maybe they release that statement. But they should not forget that even thought they didn't get much asset on free agency still they have talented roster. Its just they need to bounce back well and find good strategy to make everything work together.

Also AD need to be healthy in upcoming season so that it cannot affect their playoffs run or maybe to reach again on finals which they really want to happen.

Hard to say Wolves will be in top next season since OKC,Nuggets also Dallas became more stronger this season.

Would you agree with the prediction of the ESPN that the Lakers will fall and will only finish at the number 11th spot?

AD was healthy last season, but it seems like they can't advance in the WCF again. They didn't make a major movement on their roster but changed their coach, so what they want to tell us is that they don't have a problem with their roster but that the coaching is weak, which they want to improve, and let's see if hiring a young coach will solve that problem. I understand the prediction of ESPN, I think better that way than still hyping them despite their failure last season, so maybe they'll surprise us with LeBron winning another chip.

Hard to say Wolves will be in top next season since OKC,Nuggets also Dallas became more stronger this season.

There will be a tough competition in the West, and the teams you'lve mentioned, one of them have a very good chance of finishing at the number 1 spot.

Curry leaving Warriors would be like Tim Duncan leaving San Antonio, or Kobe leaving Lakers, I do not think that it is going to happen. Even if they suck for the remainder of his career there, he will just stick with them and play the best ball he could play. Look at Kobe, he didn't had great teams at all times, he had horrible teams between shaq and gasol period, and he had terrible teams on the last years of his life as well, he didn't leave the team and stick with them and played 20 years.

All in all, I still think that Curry owes Warriors a lot and Warriors owe Curry a lot and they are just going to pay him the maximum. They will of course try their best to build a good team around him, but I do not think that it will be that easy at all.

But at the 11th spot is underestimating the Lakers way too much. I mean, I could agree with the highest in the play-in tournament like the 7th or 8th spot in the West but 11th is just too much.

Not making a major movement in the roster could be a good thing. Chemistry. This is the problem with some of the fans of their favorite teams, they want major changes while the truth is not changing anything could also be beneficial for the team. I read Lebron had been doing his own chemistry-building with the team by inviting them to his events and I think that's a good thing.
I won't make any assumptions like winning the title this year but being on the 2nd or semis of the playoffs will be big for Lebron and his crew. It doesn't need to be a ring.

Curry is still has a lot of skills and still on his prime which is why talking about this topic is still not relevant for now. Maybe we can discuss this topic later on if show weakness like Thompson did.

I'd agree with the contenders list but I am excited to watch how the Memphis Grizzlies will do. Watching the practice videos of Ja Morant and Zach Edey seems optimistic.

Imagine Ja Morant ball handling and having a tall guy that can do whatever he want, pass the ball to him or assist him. It's like a Murray and Jokic tandem but inside the paint.

Not sure if how Lakers will convince both Curry and warriors management,  I mean what offer they can give allowing the value of Curry, not unless there's a problem internally between Curry and warriors team owners or something that can lead to departure of Curry but for now, I'm not sure if how convincing it is that this trade rumors will be executed.  We stil have until the trade deadline which most of those shocking trade surprises take place.

I find it impossible to happen now since for sure their careers is already sealed with current teams where they are. Also for sure that they retire on which team they currently on and same goes with Curry since I think he remain to be a Warrior. Curry still good in Warriors despite of what happen recently when Klay is out in their team, but for sure this is not enough reason for him to ask a trade and paired up with Lebron.

Its just there are people creating a drama on their last Olympics run and just want to earned huge traffic to their articles.

New meta for some media now is to edit the pic of well known superstar wearing other teams jersey and create a rumor then boom they have good article which provably can catch the attention of NBA fans all over the world.

Would you agree with the prediction of the ESPN that the Lakers will fall and will only finish at the number 11th spot?

Here's the prediction from ESPN.

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/40940111/nba-predictions-2024-25-win-loss-records-warriors-thunder-every-west-team

Quote
The contenders
1. Oklahoma City Thunder: 57-25

2. Minnesota Timberwolves: 54-28

3. Dallas Mavericks: 52-30

4. Denver Nuggets: 52-30

5. Phoenix Suns: 49-33

6. Sacramento Kings: 47-35

The play-in group
7. New Orleans Pelicans: 46-36

8. Golden State Warriors: 45-37

9. Memphis Grizzlies: 44-38

10. Houston Rockets: 44-38

The bottom five
11. Los Angeles Lakers: 44-38

12. LA Clippers: 43-39

13. San Antonio Spurs: 35-47

14. Utah Jazz: 26-56

15. Portland Trail Blazers: 22-60

Factors that affected the Lakers for the expert to came up with that prediction is the new coach JJ Reddick and probably not adding some role players that would improve the roster.

This link takes you to ESPN+ . Assuming you’ve got it. Annoys the ever living hell out of me how much of their content has moved to ESPN+ premium content. But that’s another story for another day

I can’t see the Lakers falling that far. I’m not sure what free agents out there ,there might be, but I assume they’ve got some targets in mind that should help finish above that spot too.

Well the list looks quite accurate to me. Sure, the Lakers seem to be pretty far down but which team above them could one really put below? Many teams improved their roster while the Lakers pretty much stood pat.

Maybe Houston takes a step back from last season but I don't really see any other team to be weaker than the Lakers tbh.

The Lakers failed last season, and if they fail again, we might see AD or LeBron leaving the team. Most likely, J.J. Redick would be fired as well since coaches are often the first to be blamed when a team underperforms. If LeBron does leave, there could be a possibility of him joining the Warriors, provided the salary cap allows it. LeBron might also sacrifice a higher salary to increase his chances of winning another championship.

Rockets might be in the playoffs but I'm not seeing this team to progress, probably just a first round exit.
