Yeah he's doing really great now but the way how all star voting goes usually fans pick those popular names. Although there's huge chance for him to get a spot for this All star game but I guess popularity  of players still counts since fan votes always matter the most.

There are so many good players before that didn't get a spot on all star due to lack of votes, but we are hopeful to see new names and see them have fun on that event.

Also don't expect much to see an intense game since all star game is just to entertain the the fans watching them. I guess we cannot see those plays we usually see on regular games.

Count me in. If I remember correctly, I voted for that dude last year and am still doing the same. I think Sengun is a player on his way to becoming a superstar. The way he plays is something I don't want to miss because he is like the Jokic of the Rockets. He can score, pass, rebound, and everything when it comes to offense. So yes, he should definitely join the elites in the All-Star Event.

NEW YORK – The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Basketball Players Association announced today a new format for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game in the San Francisco Bay Area. The reimagined event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors, and air at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.

For the first time, the NBA All-Star Game will feature a mini-tournament with four teams and three games. Two teams will meet in one semifinal (Game 1), and the remaining two teams will meet in the other semifinal (Game 2). The winning teams from Game 1 and Game 2 will advance to face each other in the championship (Game 3). For each game, the winner will be the first team to reach or surpass 40 points.

And those rising stars will probably try their best to win the championship for the prize.

I am not sure if this new method will make it like they will care, I am sure that people will still not care, they will not care the first game, they will not care the last game, I do not think anyone even cares about anything anymore. Not just the all-star game, I think nobody really cares about the three point shooting, or all star dunking, don't get me started on the team talent stuff neither, that's just a boring thing you can skip.

All in all, there is nothing entertaining anymore, because nobody tries to win anymore. It's important to make them all think that this means something again, and all of them try their hardest again, that's when it will matter. But these days, not caring spilled out of all-star and sometimes we see it even on regular season games, so I can't expect that much from them. This is why NBA viewership is down more than any other sport in the world.

Right, and as we can see, there are current players and former players who criticized the format today. They want to go back to the old and traditional East vs West and then play as least some defense because that's how it is.

No wonder why the decline of viewership in the last couple of years. Even the slam dunk contest is dead already, not much to talk about unlike when we have good dunkers in the line up and trying to impressed the crowd with never seen dunks.

It's very hard to say because in the beginning, we thought that Hield is doing great as they are in the top in the West. I'm not sure what's the reason of the decline after that as they are losing skid.

Dennis did play good in Warriors though, so that could be something that we can look out. But then there are rumors of Looney as well in the trading block or get someone that can be a true center for them as they can't just rely on Draymond manning the middle. Perhaps small ball are no longer working in the league for them, not like before when they can just simply outrun other teams.

I don't think Klay's leaving affect the Warriors so much, remember that they go with a 12-3 to start. And then when Curry and Draymond started to missed games because of injuries or suspension, that's why the slide come and I even that they have a good chance to win the NBA Cup too. But I read one articles analyzing their game and that it says that the Warriors lack transition game. Perhaps that could be just one factor, teams are well are improving their defense as they know it win games for them. Warriors is known to be a good 3rd quarter team, but in their losses, they are not. That's why they have games that they simply can't maintain their lead and then they will just choke in the 4th quarter and lost the game.

Even if they go back to the old style of East versus West, the players will still play it like an exhibition game avoiding an injury to happen. Now, they added the rising stars to the recipe and these guys are hungry. I bet they will make the NBA stars go wild and be competitive again as they try to win that pot money.
I think the NBA management is trying but it's because we got used to the NBA All-Star being played like a game inside a game, and we got bored with it. They can also try not having an All-Star in one year, maybe people will miss it.
Still, I do like the idea now of letting the youngsters participate especially those in the G-League who will probably showcase their skills because they know there will be scouts watching their moves.

Not entirely sure, Sengun had a worse year compared to last season, not saying he doesn't deserve it by the way, of course he does, I would put 50 players from each conference if I had a chance, but it also good to remember the actual stats. He scores less, shoots worse fg, shoots worse %3p as well which is already nearly non existent, not even makes one per game, but that was like that last year too.

There are better things too, like he averages double double for the first time in his life, he has 10.6 rebounds per game, improved over last season and he does an inch better assisting, so nothing big there. After all, his scoring contribution dropped quite heavily, and that feels like it may cause him to lose the all star voting.

I thought the Heat were going to win because they were already leading by 20 plus points in the end of 3rd quarter, even though Jimmy Butler didn’t play tonight. But for the Magic—no Wagner brothers, no Paolo Banchero, no Jalen Suggs no problem. Cole Anthony scored 35 points tonight, almost triple double with 8 rebounds and 9 assists! What do you mean decent ranking? they are in the 10th spot, and out of the playoff spot. And they will have to find a way to win with this players. I personally thought that this could be their break out season with ANT leading them, but it's obvious that Randle could be the issue with them.

They've bounce back already and secure a win against the Wolves and Curry didn't want this game to slip from them and so he scored the last 11 points for the Warriors to secure this victory to at least keep them in the fight for the playoff.
