I just read that Bronny's 17 point performance the other day was the highest scoring outing in the preseason by a 55th+ pick in the last 15 years.  Maybe not the most impressive stat, but it shows that Bronny might actually deserve to be where he's at.  We'll see when the season starts I guess, but for going as far down as he did in the draft he has changed the conversation with that 17 point performance.

Just heard this will be the first time in the league's history there will be a father and son duo playing in a regular season game.
It had been done before but was baseball with Ken Griffey jr and sr back in the 1990s who will be in attendance at the game along with many other celebrities.

Ok, I guess we have seen by now that Gordon got a good contract extension already. So there will be no speculation whatsoever that he will be leaving the team. And I think it's a good decision by the Nuggets management as they can make another run, with Jokic, Murray, Porter Jr and then Gordon, now they have Westbrook as well.

So it's really a good move by the Nuggets and then didn't let go of one of the two way and elite defenders in that position.

And from time to time, Gordon gives us the show when his dunking ability that he had in the beginning of his career that's why he is a fan favorite as well in Denver.

I never believed he would leave to be fair. He found himself there, while he is still good at dunking, he is being left open quite few times a game so he would shoot as well, and he is playing great defense as well. He is not responsible to be the best player in the team, Jokic is the best one and Murray is the co-captain so I would assume Gordon would be third, even at days when MPJ plays great we can say Gordon even drops to fourth, and in those cases the low responsibility and the amount of free time he gets, is great for him.

He never trusts what they should be doing and we should consider how we could do whatever we could do. Gordon definitely wanted to stay, but if he was offered lower than what he deserved then he would have to accept in case another team offered more. Now he just got an offer which would be as best as he could get, as a third or even at days fourth piece for this team, this type of offer is definitely a huge offer and he should be happy about it.

Why not? He is a great player with passing capability, a playmaker, and more. I think it's just the right price considering how much players are being paid right now.

Tonight is the night they break history supposedly. I’m not sure how exciting this historical moment will be, but it’s cool for LeBron to be living out one of his dreams. I think it will probably end up hurting them or even costing them the game, but I don’t think they’re expected to win anyway, so we’ll see how it ends up going for them.

Alperen Sengun got a 5 year 185 extension with last year being a player option. I believe the player option will probably not be used and he will ask for a bigger contract after four years. Think about it, this player looks like the best player in Houston right now, and the contract shows how great future he has as well, he didn2t get the max, I do not know why the team didn't offer, but I also do not know why Alperen accepted neither, maybe injury risk?

Considering all the tax and the agent fee and so forth he will have ot pay, that should come down to more like 20-25 million a year and that is still great but he could have rounded that up to 30 if he got the max. I believe after 4 years, he is going to look so great that he will have a max contract and he will make 50+ a year, which is not really that shocking considering how things are looking at the moment for the salaries around the league.

I voted for the Celtics to win the upcoming championship.  For me it's hard to see anyone else winning it as dominant as they have been and as far as I can tell, they are pretty much bringing back everyone? 

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm still having some sadness that the Olympics are over already.  The men's basketball tournament was so ridiculously exciting and a handful of those players being legends that we will never get to see again.  For me, I liked it better than the regular season.

Aaron Gordon getting himself 133 million over the next three years. Not bad. Denver is doing the best they can at trying to lock up their core.

Good to hear that for him. Because it seems that the news prior to his signing is that he won't get a good amount in there.

I didn’t really care about the Olympics to be honest. That woman’s rugby highlight was the only good part for me. I probably won’t watch the Olympics again unless they stop letting men compete in women’s sports.

It was a great tourny but as a knicks fan this might be the best team they fielded since the 1990s so been waiting for the squad to get on the floor since the season ended.  Glad they play Boston game one as a little check on how they stack up.  October is so great for sports...

If I understand it correctly, it's not actually about him securing a contract or transferring. But it's more of his brother Thanasis getting signed and he's been always helping him with this thing. Every time Giannis spits some signs of the keyword, Bucks retaliates with these actions of re-signing him. Well, good for both of them. Playing for the same team and got millions on the contract.

His 2027-2028 year is a player option so that’s as good as gone. He’s already trying to win a championship for 2024-2025. They have to trade him before the 2026-2027 season or they’re risking losing him for nothing. Same with Damian Lillard. So I would say Giannis is probably right. If they don’t win a championship this year or start next season with high expectations he will likely be traded.

Knicks really struggling with the rebounds I guess it safe to say that Boston will win this opening night. Not just rebounds but also 3 points shots (Edit: End of the 1st half Knicks 4/14 in 3pts line). Mikal Bridges also look like doesn't know what his doing can't see the chemistry of the Knicks players right now. I guess Tatum can make triple double tonight if he plays more than 35mins tonight very great 3 points percentage for Boston Celtics tonight.

We've already been sharing NBA betting on this thread since 2015. There is no need for a new thread. This is the most posted thread in Gambling Discussion and the only place on the forum that comes to mind when talking about the NBA.

The first game with Boston was just as they said it would be.. A revenge tour.

Won a rather large bet on the game so on to the one everybody seems to be interested in other than for the game itself.

What they are saying will happen for this one where they put Bronny in and he is so bad that it cost them the game.
He has been out for a year due that heart condition if I am not mistaken. So he essentially shoulldn't be in the NBA but in the G-League to begin his career. But that is the star power in the NBA, King James can get him in with a wave of his hand.
