Lakers are definitely looking good, they look like they are high enough that they won't even be in play-in situation, which has been a while since they weren't there. I am pretty sure that they are going to go deep this season on playoffs.

I believe, and I know this is a very very weak chance and probably won't happen, but I believe IF somehow they manage to win the title, then Lebron will retire at the end of the season. Of course this is a very unlikely situation, I do not think that they will actually win the ring, but there is a chance of it and if that ever happens this year, then Lebron may just retire at the end of the season. If not, I am sure that he will just let everyone know when his last season will be, so that he would have a Kobe like retirement tour on his last season.

With the way the Lakers have been performing lately, yes, they will definitely make the playoffs. However, their chances of getting to the finals are really minimal. Besides, with the current results, it turns out that their opponents in the first round might be the Nuggets, which is not a very convenient opponent for the Lakers. By the way, in the playoffs before last, the Nuggets and the Lakers faced off in the Western Conference Finals, and the Nuggets won without a hitch.

I think it's isn't so much the Los Angeles Lakers that are playing well as much as it is Anthony Davis.  He's been on a tear lately while complaining of not having enough help in the middle.  If they can get him what he wants and he can stay healthy, maybe the Lakers have a shot at a postseason run.  I don't think LeBron retires either way.  Nobody retires without trying to run back a championship.  Even Michael Jordan was pretty much forced out of the Bulls by management and would've liked to have gone for 4 in a row with Chicago. 

It's no surprising that AD is sending the message to the management that he really needs a backup in the middle. And for all we know, he doesn't want to be a center, because it's more engaging and we all know that his body is very fragile. And I will say that they are lucky to see AD right now not having any injuries. And speaking of the Bulls, why not get Vecuvic? He is really a true center and the package is still goods as we haven't seen him injured in his career. He is sort of like Zubac with the Clippers, very reliable center but what Vecuvic advantage is that he can shot for the outside. So just imagine him playing with the Lakers and taking out the center of the other team because they can't live him open as he throw bombs in the 3 point area.

JJ Reddick is really very mad on this version of the Lakers, no defense at all, and they just like watching Maxey here and Austin Reaves can't guard this dude. And obviously, Anthony Davis is out and questionable not just in this game and most likely in the Lakers upcoming games and that is bad news for them.

They are just trying to make the score close at least not that huge lead and unless the Sixers choke, I do not see the Lakers making a huge comeback in this game. Maxey has 43 points already, and Lebron almost had a triple double again.

That's a big IF like you said, and you said it as well that it's very unlikely for that to happen hence, it will not happen. What's the solution? Go to another team that's capable of winning a title.

Let's take note that he has a player option on the final year of his contract, and if he wants to win a title for the final time before he retires, he can just opt out of that contract, become a free agent and sign with another team with a lower contract. The only question is, is he willing to sacrifice money for the sake of winning another title again? If he can then there's a big chance that title contender teams will sign him for sure. Right now, Lebron James is weighing things right now. Does he want to retire on LA? Will he sacrifice winning another title for the sake of money? Or will he sacrifice money, and go to another team to have a chance to win a title.

Sixers only have Maxey and some role players and yet, they defeated the Lakers with an almost healthy team. I don't see them that good TBH because they have a bad record against other playoff contender teams. I really thought that they can pull this one out on the road, but... well I guess not having AD is a big deal for the whole team then.

The Rockets are on fire. After beating the Cavaliers twice, they took down the Celtics too. Amen Thompson is on another level, this guy isn’t just a solid defender and rebounder, he’s clutch when it matters most. Honestly, the Rockets this season look like potential championship contenders. They’ve got trust in each other, and they stay composed even when they’re down by double digits. Nothing feels safe against this team right now.

Had watched the game, and the lead of the Celtics at one point went to as high as 12, Udoka called a timeout, and from there, everything has changed. Houston made run that caused them to tie the game. At one point, I saw the odds of Houston winning the game on Betpanda at 10.00.

This is what's good at the Rockets. They have Sengun and Green as their key players, but when they're having an off night, they still have players like Brooks and Thompson to help the offense. Speaking Brooks, he just had his career-high in 3pts made with 10. Both the Thompson twins are thriving in both in Houston and Detroit and in one interview, Amen said that he felt like Kobe when he made that shot. As for the title contender debate, I respect your opinion, but the team consists of players that doesn't have any playoff experience. Remember the Thunder last season? They're the top 1, but because they lack playoff experience, they just got defeated in the 2nd round. Like what I said to the Thunder, give this team at least 3-5 years and they might be title contenders.

Still, I hope that the West will not sleep on this team as they defeated the current top 2 teams in the East.

Rockets have been great all season long, they are playing great, and now they also figured out Amen Thompson could be a great player too, and giving the ball to him a lot more. Normally, this team had just two players that shot the ball the most, Jalen and Alperen, but this season, while Jalen is still doing great, Udoka realized that Alperen could be a bit more of a passer, as we all know how great he is as passer and has insane court vision as well.

So right now, they are doing the old famous triangle offense instead, and using Alperen as a threat, while he still scores close to 20 points a game, something like 18 or something if I am not wrong, he is passing more too. Dude had almost triple double on this game as well. Meanwhile, Jalen, Amen, Brooks all are shooting more.

This is a shame but not a surprise. Sacramento has never been able to keep their talent. DeMarcus Cousins was treated like a criminal there. Not to mention they haven’t been able to win in the postseason even with their now monster roster. Maybe Fox doesn’t like that DeRozan is getting his shots now.

It’s possible, which is why he might be joining DeRozan’s old team, the Spurs. I’m sure the Spurs have a lot to offer, but for sure, CP3 and Wemby will remain on the team. It’s unclear which team would benefit more, but I think even without Fox, DeRozan would be able to lead the team. This move could also open up more playing time for Malik Monk, who has been consistently solid but often underrated.

It's going to be big for the Spurs if they were able to get Fox from the Kings, but it looks like it will take a of of their future picks to be included in this trade and maybe the following names

Perhaps when Davis got injured, somewhat the Lakers mentality change for the worst as they know that they don't have their first option to score that's why they've lost focus on this game. And it's just a bad news for them to see Davis injured himself again, but it seems that this could be a mild injury and not season ending. So maybe it he will just missed a couple of games.

And so next time since the Lakers have adjusted already, maybe they are going to win games without him. And Maxey though, he really carried the Sixers in his back and abused every player that Reddick sent to guard him.

Big names who are also helping the team to keep competing, for sure Kings will be asking for someone who also can give them the help that they need, trading a star means that the value will be decent and those mentioned names plus the future picks might be in the table now between Spurs and Kings negotiation.

Let see if what's going to happen if the trade will materialize or if there's a change in direction in terms of that possible destination for Fox.

Over Demar? No way!

If it does happen, he will be better when he is coached by the greatest coach of all time. Every player that goes into that franchise comes out as a superstar or one of the best roleplayers in the league. Kawhi, Dejounte Murray, and more. He will definitely become a disciplined team player there.
I like the idea but I believe Fox is their franchise player if forced, maybe they will trade him for rebuilding. Still, why stick with DeMar? I'd rather have Fox over him or I think it's the big contract that they want to use if he is gone. Maybe.

I don't think it is the Kings' choice whether or not they get to keep Fox or DeRozan.  Obviously Fox has more upside going forward and would be the preferred player of the two.  The thing is that Sacramento as a city sucks and nobody wants to live there.  If Fox isn't the #1 guy who gets to pad his stats and get max contracts, he's gone to somewhere better.  San Antonio has no state income tax, the city has more to do, and he can build a future with Wemby and maybe win some championships.  More money, more promise, more fun...  I get it from Fox's point of view.  I'm honestly surprised he stuck it out this long.

This is definitely the story to watch at the moment.  What is Pat Riley going to do?  Take out his anger on Jimmy Butler and protect the Pat Riley hard ass legacy by sending Jimmy Butler to the worst team in the league, or do what's best for his organization and try to maximize trade value by sending Jimmy someplace where he will resign with the team (Phoenix).  I think it would be more funny to send him someplace crazy, but I'd prefer he went to my hometown team to try and fix the disaster of a season they have going.

That's a good idea if he gets back in there but we will never know. With miami needing pieces they would be stupid to be spiteful.  They can get some really solid players or draft picks from a fringe contender.  If im running a team i wouldnt make it personal, thats how you tank a team and ultimately your job.  Id put him on the block and just tell every gm, highest bidder amd then walk away.  Likely what will happen here.

It's debatable. On the one hand, reducing the time of quarters to 10 minutes has a positive effect in that it will noticeably reduce the stress on the players during a regular season, and, consequently, some players won't be so injury-prone as it is now. On the other hand, 12-minute quarters are what has always distinguished the NBA from other leagues. It also gives more opportunities for some players to showcase themselves on the court and for teams to score a lot of points per game.
