So I do agree that the Lakers looks very dangerous in the West and they have this second wind already and everything is working. Defense and offense and they have players willing to step up in every game.

The Lakers have had a remarkable transformation since that trade. It's also notable that LeBron has become more active than he was at the beginning of this season.
So yeah, the Lakers are really looking strong right now, and I guess a lot of Lakers fans are already excited to see what kind of results the LeBron-Luka duo will show in the playoffs.

But if Lebron and Luka will always have this kind of night scoring wise, it's very hard to beat as everyone is contributing. They are still in the second position entering March and that is very crucial as we have just like 20 more games left in the regular season.

My god, I've only loosely paying attention to the NBA here and there this year, and since the Chicago Bulls sucks I've not really been betting as much as I'm normally use to, but no way in hell if I were to take a guess would I have guessed in a million years that the Cavs would be in the top spot power ranking wise followed up by the thunder.  Did cleavland get Lebron back in his 20's? Thunder get durant and westy back in their 20s? lol just kinda wild to me.
No worries. We understand. Cheesy
The Bulls seem to have a wrong decision this year but they might be in pursuit of a better team next year, I won't give up on them if I am a fan of their team. They might use those draft picks they acquired and who knows, they might be lucky to have a Paolo Banchero-like player in their team.

People saying Terry Rozier threw the game against the Cavs last night. Looking at all his turnovers and some of his shots, it seems highly probable…
What these guys are telling is the truth.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFEeHVqI8ts
It's like watching a professional basketball player who doesn't know how to play basketball. He threw the game, that's the possible answer for it.

Great game last night.  Lived up to the hype.  LeBron and Luka both had their moments where they carried the team and overtime was great to watch.  If Luka can ever learn to stop complaining, this team might be a potential NBA champion...

The trade was obviously a good trade, even when it happened, everyone was shocked and didn't understand WHY this trade was done and if Dallas went mad, but at the same time we didn't really know how Luka and Lebron would work together.

The reality is, we are seeing a team that is on form better than any other team we have seen this season, nobody had a 20 game period as dominant as Lakers this year, and Lakers are looking like the best team out there. Will they win a title like you guys are talking about? I do not know, I still consider Jokic to be a better deal, but this doesn't mean we are going to see Lakers lose that easily this time around neither. Why? Because while Denver may have Jokic and Murray, this time Lakers have Lebron and Luka, and there is zero chance Denver can stop both.

I actually do believe AD might be better than Luka in the short term, if they stay healthy. But he couldn't stay healthy. And in his first game! It was crazy. Trading their franchise player was an immense risk for Mavs, and we can say it already turned out a bad deal for them. AD is little bit underestimated in this trade talk, he is also an amazing player. Only problem were his age and health, already problem occurred.

Lakers are definitely in a good mood after the trade and their whole team seems better. Everybody contributing good but the question is for how long? And can they perform like this in playoffs?

For me it will be easy for them to adjust in the playoff. As this is a series obviously, and again we have seen how Luka perform in the playoff, he carry the Mavs last year to the Finals. And Lebron also has that experienced.

And no offense to AD, but maybe Luka is as clutch as any best player and so with that, we have seen the Lakers losing close game before, but not with Luka. Just like what he did in the OT against the Knicks, five straight points and enough for them to win here.

Lakers basically realized they just need two highly efficient scorers who can win them games, and nothing else. Let me put it this way, Lakers scored 113 points, and 63 of those points came from Lebron and Luka, while only 50 came from everyone else. Sure, we won't see every Lakers game end with Lebron and Luka outscoring all others, but the possibility is there. Will they end up winning a title this way?

I do not know, but when you have two wings who are this talented, could defend even most centers in the league together, and could playmaker better than any PG in the league, you have 2 superstars who can play 1-5, or at worst 1-4 easily. This is going to be a championship team if they all stay healthy.

Obviously the Lakers has benefited from the trade, and we have seen their fans watching the game in the arena and very animated specially if Luka will score those magical shots like what the did in the OT, long three. And almost everyone would agree that they really look very different right now, maybe they still have loopholes that they need to close, specially in defense.

But if Lebron and Luka will always have this kind of night scoring wise, it's very hard to beat as everyone is contributing. They are still in the second position entering March and that is very crucial as we have just like 20 more games left in the regular season.

I agree they are benefiting from the trade and for sure the management are earning after acquiing Luka while in the otherside Mavs are losing as there are lesser audience that buying tickets and watching the game, just seen some pop up social media news regarding to Klay dissapointment about the trade and not sure if it's for real that he's demanding now for a trade.

Let see if what will happen in the next remaining games, as playoffs is nearing and for sure teams will push their ways to keep winning and earn the spot for the next round.

Everyone agree that the Mavericks were underpaid or didn't get enough for the Luka trade, but it probably would have been a whole different conversation if Dallas Mavericks are plagued with injuries, and Doncic is on the other hand is the one not playing night in night out for Lakers.

Speaking of Dallas Mavericks injuries, they really just can't catch a break, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, a player that is considered vital for them for the remainder of the season is now also out injured and could be missing the rest of the season too, really tough luck for the organization, the news was reported just some moments ago by Shams Charania.

For Klay Thompson, I'm really not sure there is much left of his career as a core player in any starting 5 going forward, his best bet would be as the 6th or 7th guy off the bench for teams, I don't even think any team would break a sweat to trade for him.

Don't see any reputable media sources that Klay ask for trade, but the one we can see is his frustration about what's currently happening in their organization since its like he's been trapped and there's no chance for their team to recover after those huge mess done by their management.

His father think he's in hell in Mavs https://www.si.com/nba/warriors/news/klay-thompson-s-father-gives-brutally-honest-statement-on-dallas-mavericks-01jnppvr6z68

And rumors said Klay regret his decision for choosing Mavs. He can choose Lakers before but he believe on the promise stated by Mavs that they can win a championship but everything messed up due to injuries and bad trades they made. But I don't think he can also stay in Lakers since provably he also became a trade piece for Lakers so that they can get Luka in their roster in this trade.

For Klay Thompson, I'm really not sure there is much left of his career as a core player in any starting 5 going forward, his best bet would be as the 6th or 7th guy off the bench for teams, I don't even think any team would break a sweat to trade for him.
I feel bad for Klay.

His dad has said the same thing, that it's likely that the team is near to get more losses because of the situation that they have. He's transferred at a very wrong timing.

Butler is even luckier than him.

No need to feel bad for him since he basically made his own bad. He thought he deserved more and a "legendary" contract with the Dubs. When he didn't get that, for obvious reasons (they dragged him along forever with all his injuries still getting paid like a top 10 player in the league) he behaved like a spoiled child and wanted to go somewhere else, even signing for less than he could have gotten with the Warriors.
Guess that's karma or whatever, not a fan of how he was behaving that summer he left.

Yes, it's obvious that Klay had made one of the worst decision of not accepting what the Dubs might have offered to him, although we understand that it could be less than he is expecting. And so he goes with the Mavs, something to proved and even thinking of winning another ring as he could have made it to 5, one more than the Curry and Draymond. So he decided that it will be better with Dallas since they have Luka and Kyrie. And now both are out already, Luka being traded, Kyrie injured. And I read that Mark Cuban interview and he said that the Nico could have gotten a better deal, not AD + Christie as for him this is not enough for a talent like Luka. And we all know that if he had his way, he wouldn't let go of Luka. But he is now just a minority as he sold his stakes already. Oh well, just imagine if the Lakers are going to win, or even the Warriors with Butler. It might really hurt the Mavs and Klay as well.

Aside from the 63 of the total 113 points that Lebron and Luka had last night, throw another statistic on the list as well which is the assist. Out of the 25 assists that the Lakers had, 20 of them either came from Lebron (Cool or Luka (12). That's just how both of them are contributing with the team right now.

I hate to say this, but injuries will be a disaster for the Lakers. Well, just like other teams, having an all-star getting injured is a big problem for them, but I believe it will be bigger for the Lakers as they rely heavily on both Luka and Lebron in terms of offense, and playmaking. The good thing though is that, if one of them gets injured, the other one can just do it all like offense, playmaking, rebounding and a bit of defending as well. As for the championship contender, they might be, IF they're healthy. We know that defense wins games, and currently, they're the top in terms of defense and it's because they have lots of big bodies on the roster and good defenders as well like DFS, Vando, Rui, and even Luka as well is becoming a good defender.

Sometimes, it really needs one all-star to change it all, eh? As for the player, sometimes, it only needs one trade to unleash his true potential. Cheesy

Denver Nuggets versus Phoenix Suns. The game is not over up until now (overtime as of the time of writing) and yet a lot of news already come out.

Nikola Jokic Made NBA History In Suns-Nuggets Game
https://www.si.com/fannation/nba/fastbreak/nikola-jokic-made-nba-history-in-suns-nuggets-game-friday-news

Quote
The three-time MVP also made NBA history.

Via StatMamba: "Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double in 20:38 of playing time tonight — the 9th fastest EVER.

He still holds the record for the fastest (14:33)."

The guys who wrote this article are really fast at writing. Cheesy
For me, this is just the normal thing for Jokic, a triple-double. But making it that fast is damn shocking. He is a monster. It's an easy win for those who always trust his stats and gamblers who are betting for his props. Also, this is the new season-high total points for the Denver Nuggets. 149 points.
Jokic ended with 31 points, 23 rebounds, and 22 assists. Shocked

Anyone seen Lebron James confronts Stephen A during the Lakers Knicks game?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teQVkpPNPWM

I saw someone lip reading it, but I forget about the link, but he was saying that Lebron somewhat goes after Stephen A because of what the latter says about Bronny James. And here is the response of Stephen A,

Jokic ended with 31 points, 23 rebounds, and 22 assists. Shocked

This impressive stats clearly show how strong and versatile a player Jokic is. But at the same time, it indicates that the opposing team was very weak on defense, as their players couldn't stop Jokic and let him do literally anything he wanted.
I wonder if Durant is thinking about changing teams again. Roll Eyes

Suns have no good center after they trade Ayton. They are just switching between Plumlee and Richards while both of them are no match for Jokic.

Besides, Jokic is truly unstoppable because he is so versatile in offensive. He can do assist, rebound and score on his own when needed.

Only few center can guard Jokic, Even with Sabonis caliber Jokic can still record a solid stats.
