I’d love for him to be part of the contenders, but rules are rules anyway. Durability is part of the test too. I still believe Jokic was robbed at least once in the MVP race, and this season could’ve been his best chance to win it again, then this happens.

Still, there’s some good news. It’s not a season ending injury, so there’s at least something to be thankful for if you’re a Jokic fan, and a Nuggets fan too.

On that game Pistons expose the weakness of Lakers. The flow of the game also physicality highlight that Lakers really need reliable big and also consistent roster to help their team to win. But still even if Lebron is 41 now still he can dominate the floor.

But its really unfortunate for Lakers that their backcourt is not much helping or providing those help they need that's why Lakers is in questionable situation now. Their core players is really competitive piece, but they still need good role players that can fill those positions that they need.

Considering their current standing, I agree on you that their playoffs spot is almost guaranteed since they have a decent roster even without Jokic now that Jamal is already showing some sign of game improvement.

Their finals chances is just low without Jokic since most of their play rely on Jokic presence and good decision making to pass or score by himself.

I guess it will be a per game basis for the Nuggets and I will reckon that if they can extend his rest and maybe just played after the All Star break. But it will still depends on how the Nuggets will fair without Jokic. If they can survived lets say and have a winning percentage then maybe Jokic will have that kind of luxury of resting. But if Nuggets suffered a big lost after, then he might just be enough time for him to recover and be big because he is needed by the team so that they will be still in the good spot and not fall wherein they will have to go to play-in just to earn their playoff berth.

That incident really fave the way to Shai, i just hope that Jokic could shrug the injury , Jamal is injury prone now, past injury make him sideline and jeopardize their NBA hopes for another championship, but if he can stay healthy and be able to return in his form, before that is a different story with the help of Jokic and Gordon they can be unstoppable but its already over , because being prone to injury and that's their problem at the moment, will Murray be able to carry the team we don't know since Jokic is the driver of the team.

I really don't understand how the Lakers are 5th in the West. They play so bad. No defense, no offense... The players look like they just want to go home. It makes me sad to see them like this. I hope they get better soon.

Well, I think it's safe to say that Jokic and the Nuggets got lucky this time. Obviously, the Nuggets are heavily relying on Jokic and will perform worse without him, but considering that they are currently in third spot in the standings, I don't think they will be down too far in the standings. In other words, at the end of January, they will still be in contention for a playoff spot.

Agree to that, they've got a good position and they still have that shot to move forward to the next round, though Jokic got a huge role in terms of leaderships and good amount of productions, they still have good numbers from their previous wins, it's up to Jamal this time to keep their position he needs to lead his team to win and to keep that rank to better one while waiting for Jokic to recover.

Yeah, for real. If Jokic’s injury is season-ending, even if they make the playoffs, they might not go deeper. Four of their starters are out, but Murray is averaging 25.2. Luckily for them, Gordon and Braun are nearing their return. I think they can still hold on until Jokic comes back. Until then, they’ll have to rely heavily on Murray for their offense and force his teammates to contribute more, especially now that their rebounds will drop by more than 10 per game, along with the assists Jokic usually provides.

Looking at the teams on that list, I think the most realistic option is the Kings. They’ve been struggling, and they really need an explosive guard like him. Trading him in exchange for Zach LaVine actually makes sense, especially since LaVine hasn’t been producing much lately.

That kind of move could help address the Kings’ issues since Fox was traded. Right now, they clearly need someone who can step up and carry the offense.
