Wembanyama played only 24 minutes for the Spurs, maybe if he had played more, they could have won the game.

Denver–Houston game went to overtime and Denver won.
Alperen Şengün recorded a triple-double with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Jokić also had a triple-double and Jokić came out on top in the duel.

All I can say is congratulations to Knick for winning this Championship

But my question would be is this Championship really important ? Well I guess it will only provide more money and game opportunities for players that have already been exhausted playing other different games as well, and I heard there is a lot of money at stake for them winning, that a single player will be earning up to $500,000 well I really don’t know how true that is but to be honest that is a huge amount of money involved in winning the Championship, I think it’s well deserved for their performance, I think other players who aren’t earning so much in the NBA is also an extra paycheck for them getting that amount, but I don’t think that the recognition from the NBA for this Championship have been achieved yet, because I recently just knew about the Championship not too long ago.

Playing to win the Championship would be very tempting for most players.

Here is the MVP and the champion, Jalen Brunson! 

Knicks were already favoured by bookies for the trophy in the finale. The first three quarters were quite competitive though. But in Q4, Knicks just destroyed Spurs with a 35-19 quarter score.

I didn't like Wembanyama too much in this game. But he has just returned from an injury of course. And I hope he doesn't get injured often this season. Spurs will need him a lot to stay among title contenders.

I’m rooting for the Spurs, but still congrats to the Knicks. That’s extra bucks for each player, $530k isn’t bad. That’s more than what an employee earns in a year. For some fans, the NBA Cup seems unnecessary, but that’s from our perspective. For the players, maybe not. Too bad the Spurs didn’t explode. Only Harper scored 21 points. The Knicks controlled the rebounds on both offense and defense, with a total of 59, while the Spurs had 42.

An exciting game between the two finalist, both shows dedication but at the end of the game only one team will win and it was the NYK, congrats to everyone who place their bets for them, while for those who believes that Spurs got a better chance not for them yet but still everyone did well in both sides, it was the last quarter where NYK overrun Spurs a team efforts especially the core players who did  all their best to win the game.

Funny… The Knicks said that they won’t be hanging the NBA Cup banner in Madison Square Garden, seeing a shot at the Lakers and Bucks that do display the banner. New York has higher standards apparently.

I was rooting for Spurs too, but it is good to see New York win something finally, they really deserve it as a city who has waited so long for it.

I mean this isn't the NBA title, but it is better than nothing as well. his also shows that they have what it takes to do good in playoffs as well, they faced many good teams and beat them to get here so it looks good on the resume. Will they repeat the success in NBA finals? I doubt it will be the case and I think OKC will get it, but at least they show they could do fine in the east at least.

Congratulations to them, our very own pride Jordan Clarkson also won the NBA cup MVP. Even he's there to the team, I would have thought the same thing and didn't expect that it's going to be them that will be the champions of this NBA cup.

They should continue doing it and hopefully, it's going to become like a world tour for the NBA. Where they'll play to the host countries where it can happen. It's fun and I think the majority of the fans agree of it to be continue and sustain it each year.

The NBA has now confirmed what I said and more...  The refs called 2 incorrect fouls against the Rockets and missed a foul against the Nuggets to send the game into overtime where the Nuggets won somewhat easily.

You can't tell me they have the gambling thing under control and then see a game called like this...  Very obvious case of refs deciding the winner.  You can't convince me this wasn't dirty.

Crazy, that validates that there's really mafia in the NBA, huh.
It's an absolute dirty game while the teams who are playing trying to win the game.
And gets a help from the refs deciding in favor of the team that they want to win.
Games and records won't be altered anymore once it's done but the refs can be punished proven that they've done wrong calls.

If this tournament absolutely had to be held, why wasn't it spread throughout the entire season? It ended too quickly. It could have been placed between regular season games and held towards the end of the year. For example, the finals could have been in March or April.
It gives me the impression of a tournament that doesn't make sense.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that the NBA Cup Final is the only extra game they will play. All the other games in the NBA Cup count toward the regular 82-game season. So for me, it’s necessary since it’s just one extra game and there is also a prize for winning it, as you already mentioned.

In the end, it’s still up to the players if they don’t want to play, but in my opinion there will be consequences if they choose not to if they are should able to play.

I think the main goal of this tournament is to draw additional attention from the audience to games specifically at the current stage of the regular season. I'm not sure that the NBA management is achieving its goal by holding such tournaments. But it's worth noting that for some players with relatively low salaries, winning such tournaments is clearly beneficial.

I think exactly the same as you on this. I don't think normally the majority of people are interested in not missing any games from regular season. People usually watch attracting games from it and just wait for playoffs for some bigger action.

Indeed NBA officials needed something to bring more attention to this phase. And they thought of this cup for that. It was a new thing for American people. But I guess people like it. We can call it mini playoffs maybe.

you are right @xLays, Those games on the Emirates cup are counted as official games for the NBA season, its on their record.
That is why OKC now got 2 loses on their standing. This Cup is important to players specially with low salary as 500K USD is really big. Also it gives more reason to play hard on the court even its just a season game. Gives more attraction to fans also. They can get the cup longer as it was designed for a short tournament.

Well that's true last season they come short due to injuries but with healthy squad they've got a good chance in the East but like what you have said, the West side is composed of super teams and whoever win the conference finals will be a tough contender to win the title, the last one who win the title way back from the East was Milwaukee and after that west dominated the league.

Though the season still early and anything can happened who knows big move will happen with unexpected trades that may bring good impacts.

Yes, and assuming that they have upgraded their line up with Jordan Clarkson, who help them win the NBA cup, I think they can duplicate what they have done a season ago. And we all know that Jalen Brunson is the clutch player in the NBA, they could really be a good playoff run again.

Of course there's a lot of good teams in the East, but I do think that they have the advantage because their core is still intact and the experience they got makes them a very tough team in the playoff again.

Probably that's the curse of being a NBA cup champion. I remember the inaugural game, it was the Lakers who won it and Lebron the MVP. But after that, they have a consecutive losses and they really doesn't look like a champion after that time.

So maybe this is just a consolation and NBA wanted it to create something new before the actual NBA finals. But for us, and I'm sure majority of fans will agree that this NBA cup championship doesn't bring any weight or merit for a team. Worst, they might not perform good after winning.
