Why's it a problem? They'll never go anywhere now. If Bitcoin itself is somehow tracked so heavily it's hard to stay under the radar they can jump to plenty of other coins.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Ok.dont call me stupid but i never get it how does that work? You buy a gun or drugs through darkweb and you set up your tor browser and everything and you pay the guy with bitcoin.assuming he wont disappear after you pay him how will he physically deliver the gun? Is he going to use post service or what?He will deliver it personally with a mask on his face? wtf?

There are a lot of dark marketplaces around and I think its gonna be a problem in the future, because its getting bigger and bigger these days with the bitcoin..

It could help the also the price of bitcoin because of that dark marketplaces since many are getting into it the demand for bitcoins will become more higher. But still, it is dark - it's illegal.

Dark markets together with gambling are what gave public awareness of bitcoin at the beginning, they are and will always be an integral part of cryptocurrencies in general.

There are now many places when you can buy some illegal stuff and that is because it is easy to pay with Bitcoin and it is also becoming more used and popular so that is why there are now more.
And it will be bad for the people with a bad meaning and the problem is that you also cant stop them.

Hello Dear,

I have a question and i hope someone can help me out. I see on the Tor network a lot of dark marketplaces where you can pay with bitcoin. My question, how do they make those markets? Is there any tutorial we can find?

i am pretty sure that there should be a tutorial online, maybe not the video, maybe just text only but you really should find them, but maybe not in popular sites like reddit

and i don't think that it should be very hard, maybe you do not need to create a dark marketplace, maybe you can sell your stuff in openbazaar, so this would be way easier for you

There are now more dark marketplaces and that is because people see that Bitcoin is going to be more worth so that is nice for them if they can sell more.
And it is quite bad that dark marketplaces exist because there are a lot of people that is buying some guns or something with a bad meaning.

There are pills which got BTC mark on their surface floating around. Probably those markets sell them. Very very very bad reputation for bitcoin. On the other hand i also can't keep myself thinking, what if Satoshi is the boss of a drug cartel  Grin Like, Heisenberg  Grin

Dark places are not bad for bitcoin, everything without banks control can be called dark..This leads us to basics of liberty and freedom so yes why not? , Bitcoin was made for use without control..

Why's it a problem? They'll never go anywhere now. If Bitcoin itself is somehow tracked so heavily it's hard to stay under the radar they can jump to plenty of other coins.

If it got to that level, there would be a huge surge of a alt coin for them.

But the first scenario is not possible to begin with since transactions get mixed due to mixers providing these services from the start.

Not only bitcoins have dark marketplaces but also in real world with fiat money they have also dark marketplaces.
As long as there is money involve per transaction dark marketplaces will exist.

Its not gonna be a problem, but I really hate that the media is only talking about it that its getting used for dark marketplaces.
You have a sort of website that are having all url's of the marketplaces on the deep web.

I don't really get why people feel so secure with using Bitcoin in the first place on these marketplaces on the deepweb... It's pretty well known that it is super easy for people to be tracked down; and people don't realize that Bitcoin is NOT truly anonymous in the least bit.  Example A:  New York police win FinCEN award for Bitcoin investigation
