How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ?

gambling is very difficult to leave. if we want to really leave the gambling then the most powerful way is "leaving the internet". because now stems from internet gambling.

Leaving the Internet is not a solution, that is just a temporary solution. An addicted gambler will find that it is extremely 'painful' to quit gambling. It is because you do not want to stop. If you have a strong will, it's pretty easy to stop within a few weeks or less. I have a very strong will, and that is why I seldom gamble anymore.

Yes strong will power and following great level of discipline can help you to stay away from gambling or else its very difficult to quit gambling if you are addicted to it.

it is half the battle they have to cut their access to money so they can not gamble with the money at all. this can be done by investing the mney or putting it away in a bank account under your wife's name for example.

If you're that very addicted to gambling then you should now talk to a psychiatrist and ask for help and guidance.

thats the only way if you are really addicted and you cannot do anything about it as you lose all your money you have on gambling

i think its better to just search for other hobbies that would take your thoughts out from gambling and that would give you entertainment

movies are effective if  you love watching movies and if gambling is not yet rooted in you..I think it would still be more effective watching a movie if you are with your loved ones or girlfriend in a movie house... That way you are away from your computer and busy with your girlfriend..

I think you can do both that is why you will still play gamble because you can do it even if your watching movies and in my opinion they will need money so they will still play gambling and movies can wait if you win money or if you win money from gambling you can certainly watch new movies on a movie house.

Get a psychologist to help you out with your problem in gambling im sure that he will help you out,or get into a facility that way you can really stop gambling.

I don't think it will work as hiring a psychologist will add more expenses to his wallet, and there is no guarantee that he will quit gambling after that.

It is better than no help at all. You can say that people  can will their way out of gambling. But if that really works, then there should be no gambling addict at all. But it's not. So, those who want to get out should get a professional help. It is worth the cost.

In my experience, your intelligence will not help to avoid gambling addictions. I have seen many clever people struggling with gambling losses due to addiction over it. Intelligence will guide you to make money, only the practice will protect you from staying away from gambling addiction.

i am getting addicted to gambling.And i am loosing a lot of money.I am loosing what i can't afford to lose.its sad that when you start loosing its just busted me again and again.at last i gamble for fun but now when i am getting addicted i am loosing too much.

it will be good start to tell your friends about your gambling problem, i am sure that they will help you, you have to stop thinking about it so you will lose you minds about gambling and with time you will be alright

If you are an addict, you have to stay away from control any amount of money, so you can not find money to gamble or bet.

agree I've listened to a seminar if you do not want wasteful and spend money you should not be holding cash in  your wallet. This seems to be done to avoid gambling and addiction cure

Well i think there's the other way that you can stay away from addiction why dont you bring first your self in psychiatrist and ask if what is the best method to stay away from gambling addiction..

like everyone says, if you will think about gambling, you will want to gamble so don't think about it because if you will still think about it the addiction will not disappear itself and you will lose more money

go out with your friends, go to a cinema or  play computer game, do anything that you like except gambling and you will be okay i can guarantee you that your thoughts will be taken from gambling for a long time

Gambling is like an enigma, and once you are stuck, you need to solve it through your mind to get out of it...
So, just stay away from it, and whenever you think of gambling, have an image of someone you love, in your phone, just look deeply into that image and think about them, you will forget gambling...

people who have more intelligence course they will look for methods and strategies of gambling that is considered safe. many smart people are rich of course they can buy fixed match/scores

There is no safe way or strategy for gambling, its sheer luck, if your are lucky you will win or else you loose, the only safe method is that you should know when to quit.

The only thing you can do is walk away from gambling for a while if you can't control what you are spending. If you want to still gamble set yourself a pot of money to use when it's gone don't top up until you can afford it. You never want to chase a loss

This is the bigest problem for all gamblers if you can not stop it will not help to sert a pot of money because if they lose big they will refill it instantly and hope to recover the lost money what i have done is if now i feel the need to gamble i shutdown my pc going read a book or watch a movie until i forget it for a while

- Stay away from casinos, race tracks, poke, or everything else that might remind or tempt you.

With that way showing like you have no interest in your bets it goes to show that you will not get addicted to it.If you are doing it to start staying away from gambling, that is a very nice idea,taking small steps at a time, it won't hurt you...
