Nobody can keep you away from doing it, unless you go to an asylum and tell them to lock you away because it's destroying your life.
If you're addicted ask someone to keep an eye on you. You need a wife or a girlfriend to distract you
Yes, an affectionate life could bring magic to your addicted life. Because that only could distract your focus on gambling. When you are becoming a family man and you will concentrate on your family life like your children and children's education. So, this would definitely help you to stay away from gambling.
also good advice is to learn how not to focus on failures, be proactive in your life and not to much regret the loss.
But the basic human nature is always worrying about past and due to that loosing control over the present. I guess this type of human nature also could be another reason for the addictive nature of gambling. To stay protected from that, we must live in our present. Forget the past losses and future fortunes too.
Why can't a human being stay away from gambling? Is it the only way to make money and if he is thinking so then he is the biggest looser in my eyes.
Because they think there is free money in gambling and when they try to win they lose, so they keep coming back until they got hooked and addicted to gambling and now its hard for them to leave.
If spending money betting on gambling might be better just part of it so that if we lose will not experience many losses. But if you want to leave a gamble you have to stay away slowly.

Avoiding gambling thread or any other thread may not be so helpful. If you don't want to gamble then as you said keep busy with some other activities and spend more time with family and friends will really help a lot to come out from this gambling addiction.

Yes many people will come to gambling because of there real life stress but they don't this gambling will give more stress than there real life. So if you are in stress better try other things because here once you addicted it's very hard to come out i too enter like this only. Still i am thinking i am just playing for fun but inside i am getting feeling like i am alredy addicted this.

Yes, I do see many people are treating gambling similar to smoking or alcoholism whereas many gamblers are looking for other entertainments to releive from gambling stress. Overall, it would be a confusion for people which is more important health or wealth.

Its really hard to stay away in gambling once you are already hooked to it because you will be looking for ways to do it even at the expense of your personal money not intended for gambling. In order to stay away in gambling you need to surround yourself with positive people and focus your time to more productive things like investing and trading.

Surround yourself with positive people I think it will not count on a suggestion to stay away from gambling, I think there are more people that are positive and playing more gambling than the negative ones and they will keep on playing it because they feel and they are positive that they can win a lot on gambling!

Actually to stay away from gambling in not even having winning a single time would be easy or if you have won already and still hooked to gambling is the same.  To stay away in gambling first is to accept the losses that you have had so you wont be thinking of trying hard a lot of times in recovering it that is if you wanna stop right now. Accepting it wont be done within the day it will take time.  The next step just inform me if you have already totally accepted the looses you have made.

What if he's always winning or if not always winning he has more wins that the losses he had? I don't really think the best way is to stay out of it but to control your feelings and the urge in diving deeper into gambling, but mostly a few people will likely to become addicted to it if they expect even more from it!

if he always wins and has been playing for a long time, obviously it will be difficult to stay away from gambling, he would always try though he always loses, because he thinks he has won quite a lot earlier.

that is how people get addicted. Usually people will have a higher chance to get addicted if they manage to win in the first few times. Then this will make them believe that casino is possible to profit and make them addicted to keep coming back to play. Even though in the end they loss more than they win, they already like the thrill of going to gamble.

The best thing that you can do to stay away from gambling is that you have to find otherthing that you like to do and so you are also going to stop addicted to gambling and do some other stuff that you like to do and it will be also much cheaper.
And you have to know by yourself that gambling is bad to do and that it is wasted money so losing it not that bad but becoming poor of gambling is really bad.

I think this is not the best way.. better to go first in psychiatrist before you can start your first move.. and i think psychiatrist can give more treatment about your addiction..

Keeping yourself busy can take away your attention from gambling. Like being busy in studies, work, or in managing your company. If your initial goal in gambling was to earn money, then becoming busy in your own business is your best shot. If your initial goal in gambling was to have fun, then there are tons of stuffs out there that you can do to have fun. Since you were able to bet a lot in gambling, then surely you can afford to have a vacation, have awesome road trips, climb a mountain, etc. Do extraordinary things. The thrill in gambling is nothing compared to the thrill that you can get from extreme adventures.

yeah we are living in a wonderful life with plenty of exciting activities to choose. the problem is addicted gamblers usually lazy and their minds have been narrowed down toward gamble and don't wanna move their asses.

heh, nice observation but i think it is mostly because they are lazy to use their brains not their asses.
because anybody who thinks afor a little and uses their brainpower understands not to get addicted to gambling because it would be destructive.

i thought their brains are the same with their asses.
maybe deep down inside they wanna leave gambling, their brains find some ways for them to leave but after all they are too lazy and refuse it, your asses don't move and they sink.

Staying away from gambling is easy in my eyes because if you just simply find another thing you really like to do.

to answer your statement simple if the outward and stay away from gambling as easy as you say. it will not many people become addicts and there is no people will be hire professional helper to help them get out of gambling?
but in fact there are a lot of people trouble to get out of gambling? This proves that stay away from gambling is not easy dude
Actually prevention is better than cure, if you are addicted with gambling then staying or quitting it is very hard, emotional distress is what you called when you are in that situation and you need the help of your love ones and family to cure you.
yeah of course it would be better to prevent than cure. but it will not be done on gambling mate ?
people will not be able to avoid becoming addicted. because you will not realize when you've become addicted. so if you want to avoiding it. do not doing gambling

you will only need a strong willpower to stay away from any kind of addiction.
gambling is one of the bad ones because it can ruin your life when you lose money over and over. if it is not a serious gambling problem you can fix it yourself but if it is big and out of hand you should seek professional help or maybe join some gamblers anonymous groups.

How is pretty good, but most of that has already lapsed the addiction of gambling will certainly be difficult to do so, because they already liked gambling and hope fully on gambling. The original purpose of gambling is actually just for pleasure, so gambling is good for those who know how to use gambling.

It surely will ruin your life. Gambling is one worst addiction one could have.

It's fine as long as you play with what you could afford to lose.

But when you become greedy and want to win more when losing or winning, that's when you'll get fucked bro.

When you win some, you better step out of it with profit. When you lose some, it's ok too, don't get excited and lose all. Just step back.

Well you are right, the original purpose of gambling is just for pleasures or entertainment, but gamblers tend to use it as their source of financial
needs. They are treating it as a source of living but in the end , their money are just burning out from it. It is very hard to stay away from gambling
for those addicted gamblers. But I can suggest that hanging out with your friends will help.
i think only few people who make gambling as a primary source for living , the rest are for a side income and very few people too enjoying the game of gamble, they always take it seriously. in the end they feel they hard to quit from the crazy world called gambling.

I'm in 400,000 euros debt , dont help me , i rather die

So if that is the case, then that individuals habitual gambling has already rooted and for sure will have to take time from quitting.  This guy is not gonna stay away, it needs gradual steps in rehabilitating his habitual gambling back to where the minimum limits of betting is then he can start the quitting process.  Which is I doubt has a slight chances in doing so.

If you love gambling and it is already part of your life even if you are losing or winning it will be hard to quit. We know that gambling is very addictive due the extreme excitement we will feel when gambling, in addition the chance to win an instant money will always be in the mind of the gambler, you need to focus on our things in order for you to forget our gambling.

That would be great if  a gambler can do it, walking away without even glancing back.  For habitual gambling that could be possibly easy to do, but for addictive it will be a thug of war between the mind over the feelings.  But still there is always a way since nothing is impossible as long as we give it a try.
