You must take risk to sell it and know when it will have a good value to sell it. And it is hard to predict.

It will more than likely increase because of the interest involved in this virtual currency that has taken the world by storm. Not everybody knows about it yet but when they do during the Rio games this week then it will be known by the whole population of the country of Brazil for all their shops are more to accept them for all the travelers they will have and not paying the banks any fees for those foreign transactions are too delicious to them to pass up. That will rise the price dramatically.

I can see it sliding backwards actally because of what the halving promised but has not done anything to the  price yet. So I no trust in price increases anymore. 

This was a certain prediction by me. I just didn't know it would be a huge spike downwards like this.

The halving has already done what it has promised, like the price of bitcoin was around $350 and when the time of halving came closer the price of bitcoin started to increase and when we were only a few weeks away from halving we saw that the price of bitcoin reached to $790, so that was what everyone was expecting from halving.

People aren't buying. They are either waiting for the price to go up, or they are selling because they got disappointed in the price not going up as they were hoping. It will be interesting to see how low it will go from here as it just touched $620.

I've read lost of people saying beware if BTC gets to the $610-620 point.
Getting nervous here boys. Are we going to lose a ton of value in the next couple days?

As long as the bitcoin price does not drop below $500, there is no need to worry. That is just a bear trap.

I agree with that. The bitcoin price could be $900 to $1000 by the end of the year. It could $1200 in July next year.

Lets first see if we can get back to the $800 price level again before speculating about reaching $1000 this year. $800 seems like a decent target while $1000 is just too far away for this year. Perhaps next year.

of course we can the price is soon going to bounce back so you shouldnt be too much worried bout it, besides that i think for this year 1000 will be just the beginning

The price of the bitcoin is just $530 now in some exchanges. it is quite difficult to reach $1000 this year.

You should not change your perception on bitcoin just because of this minor panic, we should believe that the price will be reach by the end of the year. The present price is just a big opportunity to add more on your investment and we should grab it instead on seeing it as a negative implication for our success.

I'm hoping that this recent plummet is a minor bump and just a knee jerk reaction to the bitfinex hacking incident. I was able to buy at around $540 hoping that it can hold that price, or even push back up again to $600. This short term dip could also be attributed to the Chinese ghost month which is about to start.

The largest bitcoin exchange called Bitfinex was hacked. It lost 120 thousand bitcoin to some hakcers.

Well, even though the price of bitcoin back, but the price increase is not yet at the price of $ 600 +, well, I hope that, although slow, the price of bitcoin soon rise to $ 600 back and maybe better ride becomes higher at $ 700 +, I am very much looking forward to that. Honestly, I did sell my bitcoin when its price is still above $ 600, but probably better if bitcoin prices higher, than on low. I expect prices to rise again soon

More than likely because the price always does when people who want to buy come in droves.
There is a good but steady of increase starting today so I expect this is follow suit come the weekend.
