Use staking=0 in your conf to prevent the minting process.
Controller and Masternodes? If your masternodes have any positive balance in the wallet, then yes to both. All my masternodes are empty so there's no way I can stake with them really.

I use to stake the MN payments that trickle in last week but not since the stall 3 days ago. I created another wallet on another PC just for staking. Will send coins to it for staking. I don't think I'll bother staking on my controller wallet now.

Yeah. It does tick over but not frequent it seems. Need more staking wallets maybe. (e.g. I just checked and it updated 1 minute ago)

Just to reiterate. All my controller (v2.1.2.0) & masternodes (v2.1.2.1) are running fine and are receving payments and transfering between wallets just fine. My controller is on Windows 10 x64 and most of my masternodes are on MP hosting. (some on Windows) Ensure you don't have any duplicate balance in your wallet as that's what I had in my wallet and was causing crashes. e.g. my unlocked 10K DNET staked 3 days ago so it split in half but the original 10K was still showing. (in coin control) I went back to a much older pre-pos backup of wallet.dat and resynced from scratch. All good now. No crashes. Nothing logging in the db.log also. Also ensure that you are on the correct chain by comparing the "getblockhash <block#>" output with dev's MN info page. http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.html

Just have to play the waiting game and hope some appear soon

Just FYI.
DNET pos block reward is currently 50 per block. It will reduce by 10% to 45 per block in 23 days. Then every month after that, it'll drop even quicker till it reaches only 5 per block (90% decrease)
So first 10% block size decrease will happen at around September 11th.

I only received my first masternode payment after 36 hours. So its seems to be working, just a bit slow.
Same here... No payments for over a full day after my masternodes stabilized, and now starting to see some earnings. Looking forward to stable PoS earnings from now on - good job devs!

Just FYI that Bittrex block is now updating again. Not sure what was wrong but all is well now it seems. As always with any transfer, make sure to test with a small coin count before sending larger amounts. I only received my first masternode payment after 36 hours. So its seems to be working, just a bit slow.
Same here... No payments for over a full day after my masternodes stabilized, and now starting to see some earnings. Looking forward to stable PoS earnings from now on - good job devs! Great to hear. Yeah, there's already nearly 800 masternodes so I believe it's normal to take more than 24 hours.

So, I did a little playing around last night. I know, I know, I do have better things to be doing with the coin, but I can take a break from time to time, right? Anyway, I used Obfuscation to mix some coins and give it a little test. I only used 2 rounds of mixing, if I was really trying to be sneaky I would have used 8. I created a new address in my wallet and sent 50 DNET to it using Obfuscation, I have 10,000 DNET for anyone who can tell me one of the other addresses in my wallet based on the transaction history of this new address. The address I created is DEZZ3RifTfpSXEbddZ64d9qccN6uxjyR2u. To claim the 10k you must tell me how you determined the other address was indeed in my wallet, so don't just guess. Use the block explorer to see the action, http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/DNET/address.php?address=DEZZ3RifTfpSXEbddZ64d9qccN6uxjyR2u. It took me a while to mix these coins, and we had to ask some of the cats in the skype chat to turn on Obfuscation in order for it to even work. The more people use this feature the better it will work for everyone, so, go ahead and turn it on. You can go to settings->options->main and set the number of rounds to use and the amount to keep anonymized, then on the overview page of the wallet click on start Obfuscation. This is a good example of the Obfuscation process in action. It works pretty good, but we are after something even better. Edit: I just remembered bitcointalk doesn't like what seems to be giveaways based on posting addresses, this could be misconstrued as such, hop on slack or skype if you think you have one of my addresses.

If that doesn't work, repeat those steps, but use a pre-PoS wallet backup and start the wallet normally. If you are still having issues hop on skype or slack, links in the OP. For slack, send s3v3n a PM with an email address and he will send you an invite. It is much easier to send a bunch of messages back and forth quickly like that, you will get squared away a lot quicker than going back and forth here, where sometimes posts get lost in the pile.

What zapwallettxes ?
-zapwallettxes will clear the wallet of orphans 08:02:56 -zapwallettxes 08:02:56 Method not found (code -32601) Well, you clearly did not follow the instructions. In order for you to get the output you posted you had to enter zapwallettxes in the console. In order to do that the wallet had to be running, if you did the first step the wallet would not have been running. So, again, shut down the wallet....... Wait, I thought you said the wallet wouldn't start? Please, join us on slack or skype.

yesterday i moved a few 100k dnet i use for staking to another wallet on another pc to have better overview about the coins reserved for masternodes and the coins reserved to stake.
made a first transaction with 100k -> no problem, did another transaction with 100k -> not possible, the wallet says "Transakation zu gross" (means "transaction to large"). made a transaction with 50k -> no problem -> another transaction with 50k -> not possible, the wallet says "Transakation zu gross".
so i ended up with a lot of 10k transactions to move my coins. a few times i tried more than 10k again but allways got the "transaction to large" message. i noticed the same effect months ago while i was moving some coins to bittrex, so i guess this is not new.
it is not realy a problem because i can move coins. just a bit annoying moving a lot of coins with only 10k steps and i don't understand why i was able to move 50k or 100k first.
any idea?

Turn on the coin control feature so on the Send page you can see and control the inputs. If you want to send 10k but that 10k is scattered over a lot of small transactions then you'll go above the maximum transaction size so you can't send it. I'm not sure what the transaction size limit for DNET is, I'm sure someone can tell you and with coin control enabled you can see how much data the transaction would need when you're selecting the inputs.
