Is it possible to create DAG in another drive other than drive c?
Yes — Genoil's last couple versions of ethminer have a -R flag that you can specify a different full directory path for each miner instance.

I recommend checking out ethermine.org

Good payout structure and efficiency and fees

It's from the ethpool folks but pays out every 1 ETH instead of every 5 ETH

I tried that. It is quite good.

Thought id talk a little about pools..

Ethermine is pretty good, stable and reliable but not so good if you are starting out being the share difficulty is quite high.  You can adjust your payout which is awesome if you want less or more frequent payouts, also they offer instant payment once you hit the limit.  They have the ability to see how much you earn per block but that number changes around quite a bit depending on your share count, its feels like if you don't have a lot of hash then luck plays a bigger role.

Supernova  The folks over at supernova have tons of altcoin pools BUT the ETH pool has serous issues with the charts and reporting, its just soo buggy I can't recommend it, why does it beep at me..its like just trying to say hey look at me!

Nanopool  I really like this pool, the share difficulty isn't so high so you get more shares per hour, auto payment 4 times a day starting at .1 eth and they have a bunch of servers that work great with the proxy..failover support is a plus in my books.  You can't see how much you earn per block but you can see the shares per hour so it's basically the same data but in an indirect way.

I haven't tried any other pools but those 2 work quite well and over time the earnings balance out so it just comes down to features and preference.  I think ethermine wins for the simple fact that they offer instant payment and adjustable payment amounts.  What other top tier pools have people tired out?

There is no difference in terms of performance for all the miners, as they share the same mining core.

Just lookup pools they all give you links to download a miner...  Roll Eyes

WOW hash hit a all time high today at 1700 GH today, I hope the price starts to slip upwards more to make up for this difficulty.  The reality is we know tons of people are putting rigs online, heh I wish ether was slightly less mainstream.

I'm glad it is - it keeps the people not paying attention mining Eth - meaning they're off everything else.

Is there anything else to mine really that has the same profits? There was PEPE last week which is more profitable then ETH but only for like 24 hours.

nanopool was really erratic for me, was using weipool till i saw this and figured id get out of there. i dont know enough to feel comfortable with it.

I thought nano and ethermine was erratic at first but then I figured out how the shares work.  Your hash rate is calculated on the amount of shares you submit to the pool and at nano share diff is set to 5 billion.  So it takes longer to submit a share vs. some pools that have a low diff and submit many shares.  Luck plays it part in your earnings.  In a specific hour you could hit more or less shares in that time frame... you could find a bunch of shares and the pool hits a quick block so your reward will be high.  Like wise you could submit very few shares and the pool finds blocks but your reward will be small.

Over time it averages out so don't worry what your hash on the pool says for a specific time frame but pay attention to the average and you should see hash somewhere around your miner stated hash rate.  Generally the shorter the time for the average the more it depends on luck.  Click on the "JSON Data" on nanopool for more averages.

 Hope this helps mate!

Oh, of course - and I'm not that interested in PEPE, either.

Would you mind giving a hint or sharing?

I looked at many different coins and algos and ETH is about 50% more profitable then all of them. Maybe with your private kernels you can make more than most.

Wolf0 lives on programming. So we have to buy the kernels from him. But he only deals with big miners.

From how much hashrate are you considered a "big miner" ? 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 10 GH/s ? Are his kernels only for AMD or does he code also some for NVidia graphic cards ?

I wonder if wolf0 would ever consider a semi-private group buy in an amd kernel or any other dev for that matter, that would give some of us a fighting chance against some of this increase.

I know that Ethereum mining depends on Memory. So GPU with higher memory will be more efficient. But what may be the other hardware that can mine ETH ? Is there anything faster than GPU mining ?

CPU and GPU are the only thing that can mine Ethereum, and GPU is much faster than CPU. No ASIC yet.

still looks like a fair game play without ASIC, and the price point certainly garner interest. But if the price corrects over time you are left with mining equipments.
