It makes no sense for the banks to accept Bitcoin payments. Because most of the banks are afraid that the widespread adoption of Bitcoins can harm their business, through the decreased usage of online banking and credit cards. I know instances where bank accounts were frozen, just because the account holder used them to purchase BTC.

Yes this is a good topic about Banks that are actually accepting Bitcoin. As far as i know, there is no banks that are accepting bitcoin directly or indirectly. But banks are no objection of buying Bitcoin. So, that's why the Bitcoin is in existence. Because Bitcoin are created by self method. If no-body wouldn't have the need for this system, why he buy Bitcoin? I also want to know if there is any bank that is accepted Bitcoin. So, make a post here.

Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.

I think no bank accepts Bitcoin because its activities are anonymous and banks are always looking to make their money transparent. Hence they only accept indirectly as you use the exchange to send fiat to your bank. Besides, the price of Bitcoin is unstable which makes banks not willing to trade or hoard it, so they are not ready to accept Bitcoin.

That is one more good reason which is the truth to why they wont accept it.
I, as not a big holder aee having problems with the waves of bitcoin and what else could happen to those banks thinking if they accept it many might store it to them and that would be a big problem.
Insurance. Banks are holding this insurance which might be applied by a customer for his/her bitcoin be protected which gives them more risk.
Can they neglect an application for insurance? No. That would be a breach to their customer service which can make it worst.

As far as I know, especially in my country, no bank has received bitcoin yet. Bank is an institution whose activities are supervised by the government, and this is very much the opposite of bitcoin itself. Not only banks, other financial institutions are certainly under the supervision of the government, so I think it would be difficult for bitcoin to have a bank or financial institution unless your country has legalized bitcoin as a means of transaction.

I havent heard any bank acceoting bitcoins or any cryptocurrency so you need to convert altcoinss first to cold cash before sending to bank thats what digital wallets and altcoin services provide for users.

It will be difficult for banks or financial institutions to recognize bitcoin. Because independence, freedom, bitcoin autonomy only depend on the buyer and the seller.

Precisely, that's why the banks will not like to get involved in money/funds  they cannot be assured of controlling by the central bank but a currency that is only regulated by buyers and sellers.
As stated the price fluctuations will cause a major lacking in the financial ecosystem and banking system will fail. Because the cannot get an calculated outcome with bitcoin acceptance, sometimes they may be profited big, else they might end in a loss due to value decline. In future it might accept bitcoin as an investment asset and not on anything else.

If what you mean by bank is the current fiat banks that we have right now, I seriously doubt that there is any. The two are like opposite poles of the magnet.

Remember that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are created as a radical step against traditional banking practices and ideals. They are trying to make an option against banks.

In my own point of view, there are no such banks who accepts bitcoin because bitcoin is still not accepted by the government. But i know there are now banks that you can store your bitcoins at online instead keeping it into your wallet. But there are still people who still save there bitcoins in there wallet, like me.

According to the information I know from the internet, about 40 banks around the world accept bitcoin, the reporter said. Everyone thinks that no bank accepts bitcoin. But I think they have to be somewhere in the world because bitcoin is now a popular currency

I think that Japan's banks accept bitcoin. Bitcoin is legalized in this country. It is quite logical that banks accept payments in bitcoins.

It might be logical it might be normal but we have yet to heard from a bank anywhere in this world that is accepting bitcoin deposits.
And trust me, this won't get unnoticed, probably we will have 100 threads about it in a day.

In my country no Bank accepts bitcoins. Only through third-party exchangers you can cash out your coins, but on the site of one of the state banks in the section "exchange rates" is the price of bitcoin.

I think there is, here in my country they entertained bitcoins, especially security bank. We withdraw out coin in that bank without any atm or debit cards. And with that I can assume that they store bitcoins, because they exchanging it into a real money. I know in the future a lots of bank will do it too.

Well, it is bitcoin digital currency is the most profitable and provides many benefits. Because indeed we already do not require the bank to keep or exchange of currency if we are travelling abroad, since doing so could bitcoin. We are just waiting, and looking for a buyer to sell your bitcoin bitcoin. So, this is very simple and does not require much time. So, indeed in the future surely technology like this will greatly needed and used by many people

I hear that there are banks in Australia and in Hong kong that accepts bitcoin but don't remember any.
I am sure a good search and maps will help you locate them if you want to visit.

Maybe, but it will already converted into what currency you need. But if they will accept the bitcoin itself I think they will not accept it they don't have any control of a bitcoin to go higher.  Huh
Banks will not accept because it is not money, you only use bitcoin to fast transact transaction of your fiat
but it is not a fiat that bank is accepting, that's the big difference, never think it is a legal currency.
Yeah, Bank will not consider the Bitcoin itself it will always needs to convert into fiat. I am using my bank account when I want to withdraw my bitcoin but it is already converted into fiat.

I highly doubt there would be a bank for bitcoins because the whole point of btc is for it to be anonymous and that bank will totally destroy that ideal.
As a matter of fact, there is a bank accepting bitcoin. Here in my country we exchange our bitcoin into a real money using a bank. They highly accept bitcoin because they know the value of it.
