Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.
Right now, no banks accept bitcoin. Banks accept physical money, and bitcoin is not. Banks aren't ready for cryptocurrency because they will lose. Its competition after all.

I think  good things  will will   will happen to bitcoin in 2018, its strong growth will be more carry over until next year.
Its all time high demand is the result of its growing popularity as a good investment platform.
In 2018 more stores will be opened to bitcoin payment, all this plus the supply being constant, will only result to a higher increase of its value.  Smiley

In our country, one of the banks bought bitcoin and sold it when it was 3000-4000 dollars.

Actually here in our country we have banks that accept bitcoins in exchange to cash. How does it works? We have a wallet app in our mobile phone that easily cash out our bitcoins with the use of atm machines and we can get it even without arm card just pure codes and everything. We also have a bank that allow us to buy bitcoins so they have butcoins they are accepting it just our banks have a wise thinking skills

I doubt if there is any.
Its funny to say, but I don't think banks and bitcoin can work in hands.
For all I know, banks don't really like the idea of cryptocurrencies because it seems like the more people embrace cryptocurrencies, the more people sees the bank as less useful.
In my country, the bankers do warn people that bitcoins are mere ponzi schemes.
They also claim it will fold in no time.

Due in part to its initial billing as a threat to the traditional financial ecosystem, these institutions have perhaps understandably responded with sharp critiques and deep skepticism for the technology.

Here are some of the biggest institutions to go public with their interest so far.

BNP Paribas - French bank BNP Paribas is reportedly looking into the possibility of adding bitcoin to one of its currency funds.

Citi Bank - CoinDesk first learned that Citi had told the UK government to consider creating its own digital currency through a Freedom of Information Request.

UBS - Investment bank UBS announced it was opening a blockchan technology research lab in one of London's major financial districts earlier this year.

It is very meaningless for banks to accept Bitcoin because the only source of income for banks is interest and debt. Other than that, the banks have no other source of income. There must be hot money in the bank for interest and lending, so the prospect of hot money is huge. If the banks accept Bitcoin, they will give the hot money to Bitcoin.

BIG WINNER!

I highly doubt there would be a bank for bitcoins because the whole point of btc is for it to be anonymous and that bank will totally destroy that ideal.

i think so too, i think there is no existing bank that accepts bitcoins, because it is totally different from their practice. another thing is that bitcoin transactions have no ways of tracing the sender and receiver that wouldn't be ideal.

I think there is no bank that will accept bitcoin yet. You have to convert the bitcoin currency to money currency like philippine peso. We use to convert the bitcoin to peso so that we can send it to our bank. Thats what we use to do. Since we cant put bitcoin to our bank. But we are looking forward that sooner they will. But i heard that bank is threaten of bitcoin thats maybe the reason they are not accepting it yet.

systemically it does not exist yet a bank which accpet bitcoin, but exist exchangers who allow to buy and sell bitcoin to fiat currencies, the bank system is very rigid and not allow the bitcoin as mean of transaction

There are no bank that accept bitcoin because they dont know what bitcoin is. Maybe in the future if they get enough knowledge they will accept it.

In my country, banks here hold the account when they found out that the money they withdraw is a bitcoin transaction! They are aware in the situation on whats happening on the online market. And the explosive inflation of bitcoin is very alarming to them! Why? Because it has a huge value even though they didnt get anything! They just let money out from their storage but they didnt got any property in return or any document or fiat. Maybe they dont want to get involve that much and also to hold or lessen online transaction in altcoins. And also they want to know where do we get this alot of money when we withdraw thats why i cant tell if there are banks that really accepts bitcoin

for that bitcoin is legit in the Philippines because they bitcoin them and they coconvert them in money, and you can also get them in the country to withdraw money with bitcoins because there is no bitcoin problem because many ways to use and it does not interfere with the fact that bitcoin also helps to speed up the transaction for sending money even if you're far from one another.

It sounds good in your country, but for the most countries, I do not think other countries also have this opportunity to use Bitcoin easily as your country. In my country, if someone try to use Bitcoin for payment public, this person will break the law and can be catch by the police with heavy penalties.
