Any form of Sports Betting is gambling. Even though you based on your bets too which side favors you to win, there is still a chance you will lose. For example even if you favored a team which has a "-#" on to it because it  is strong, the weaker team might still surprise you with a win even without the odds on it. Just like in any gambling which you thought the odds are in your favor, there is still a chance of you still losing.

I think they are the same because you always need to have much luck to win your bet or your gambling. However, i rather to gambling than to betting. Betting is more complicated than gambling and it need you to have a lot of knowledge about the game which you decide to make a bet

I think there is no complicated to bet its more easy to bet than gambling i choose to bet like in direct bet that you can easy to predict who will win make a good profit than to gamble like dice game that is hard to win or gain profit..

Playing in sports betting  is  really different  from  those   pure luck based  games  like  dice and  slots because in sports  gambling you could actually  see the  game event on  live which  you would  witness  and feel the thrill   of the game  and the winning  bet would  just  be a  bonus if   you  do  tend   to gamble for fun  only. Its also  somehow does  have high chance  of winning   compare to those  other gambling games. Back to topic playing   on sports  is definitely considered as   a   gambling  because  you already bet  on  it with your money.

While I agree that sports betting gives us a chance to win more because we can use our brain and past records or teams and players to predict the winner, but at the same time the edge on sports events is around 15% at least and that kills any profits because if you make 6 decisions right out of 10 then still you are even seven.

Yes, any thing or object that you put to bet is called gambling but maybe the one who says doesn't experience that gambling so he can't be able to determine that it was a gambling .Lets say for example childrens game on Sports but they don't actually betting they just want to know who will be the winner and they have the advantage to the other person he bet . But on some poin of view we are not a children anymore so we can distinguish this things even you are not a gambler this is a common sense answer only .Even a single thing a cheap things that is bet will be called gambling.

you're right, because sports betting is also risking anything to win. I also think that it is gambling, which distinguish the types of games and the time alone. but, I think this is a kind of gambling among the most preferred by people, especially during a tournament

Just let them think what they want because that does not matter at all, we as gamblers understand that sports betting is a gambling game. Besides, it's not their money that will be spent by us and I can say that sports betting is one of my favorite gambling game aside from dice.

How can you say that both of them are  the same way for gambling, where's the comparison?  Gambling is gambling itself and betting on sport is gambling because if there is a money involved that has been put into risk that is considered as gambling. And it will only lead into two results at the end of the game, its either win or lose.

The problem is it's not all the favorite teams that will win in the sports betting. Most of the gamblers bet on their favorite team but odd makers are really wise, they set a big line that is hard to cover for the favorites we are betting, but due to the fact that we love our favorite team, we bank them regardless of the odds, and that kind of thinking will make us lose in the long run.
