Oke, Here is my answer. For me, Betting is gambling, I repeat Betting is gambling. Gambling and betting are two same things. So for me Betting on sport is also gambling. Simple for me.

I don't understand on how people is distinguishing betting from gambling or betting on sports different from gambling itself.

Because they are identifying that betting is another activity which is just related to gambling but they don't know that betting is simply gambling.

That they are risking their money or wagering it for the hope to get some profit in return.

Maybe they don't understand what they are doing and that's bad when you are in gambling as certainly you will lose and because you do not understand about gambling you might only view the positive side and forget to think of the risk.

Sports betting is gambling by definition, and that is a type of gambling that is very popular for men and women. We do not need to operate for ourselves but it can be done by simply betting the outcome of the sports we are seeing.

Well definitely there is a better odds because you are not playing against the house but to other players.  The outcome of the game can easily predicted as long as you have knowledge on both team.  Unless the game is rigged or there is an upset win, people that has experience in this kind of field will surely have a correct prediction.

I read that all clear sir.  I agree betting and gambling is of the same "specie" lol.  As long as there is money involve , a wager / bet, and a price (winning price)  it is not considered but actually a true gambling games.  It's that this sports betting  is greatly affected by skills and talent of the player in able to win.

And I think we aren't playing only against the gamblers, but depending also theoretically of the skills of the teams or sport's players and not depending of our luck to win as in other gambling games. But surely it's a modality of gambling.

Sometimes it's hard to win, even knowing a lot about the game and its teams, because some teams have equal strenght and power, so it's almost unpredictable to know who will win or if they will have a game tie. That is the proof it's really a gambling game, no guarantees here anyway.

yeah i think so although there's so many things that is different from two which is in gambling that we are talking about we tend to do some actions in order to get a certain profit and in sports we are just usually watching a game but still they are similar to each other because like you have said on sports betting there's a involved betting as well as in gambling there's commonly mentioned bet so betting on sports actually considered as gambling .

Sports betting is gambling and I have no doubt about it. Whatever gambling method u take, Even in those u have acquired some knowledge, be it a strategy or just looking at the previous outcomes. Leicester won the premier league last year when the odds on them were huuge about 5000/1 at the start of the season where as it was 2x or less on Manchester City. Even there u have the information. Man City does have a better squad but what happened? did your knowledge come to any good use?  Thats just one example, Sports too r unpredictable similar to other gambling methods.

So I think that Betting is Not fully Gambling but a major part of Gambling.

If there's no money involve then we can call it as a game only but time is different now, we like to make it more fun by putting our bets to satisfy our self by getting the reward of our hard work in analyzing games. Yes a sport betting without money maybe considered as NOT gambling. When a game with money and also goes up and down like uncertain head or tail game then why not we call it gambling. Sport betting has all the characteristics of gambling and all the risks also.

And then you said that without money it can be considered as not gambling. That's wrong, even without money it can be still called gambling. which is right betting is really some sort of gambling no matter how we defined this it will ending up risking our money so its qualified as gambling even some of us not really agreeing with it but personally i see it as gambling.

Sports betting is a kind of gambling if : you sign up on gambling sites and put money in case to get profits or loss.
If you just said to your friends, I bet my favorite sport team will win tonight without any stake then it's not gambling.
