I prefer to choose bitcoin and love its anonymity rather than choosing paypal's crazy fees and sometimes a delay.

In my opinion, in terms of convinience, paypal is better than bitcoin because you can send the payment quicker than bitcoin, deposit and withdraw instantly direct to your account, and shop online with paypal. However, in terms of limit in transaction, bitcoin has more capability to do such transaction as it doesn't requires limit. In my point of view, the reliability of the wallet depends on a person's need.

It is true that lot of online shops are trading with paypal service as they are very old in this market but after bitcoin came to main stream they are getting less services and even so many scam of transaction reversal making PAYPAL service difficult to use it.

Yes, I also like the anonymity of BTC, and also dislike few stupidity of Paypal. But in some transaction Paypal is better than Bitcoin as I can claim back money if goods or services not provided.

Looking at the current scenario paypal is better than bitcoin.
As all the firms which involve online trading / transaction have an option PayPal in them
But till not only starbucks and Steam have accepted bitcoin as a mean of payment.
But in the near future there is a possibility of bitcoin over coming PayPal.
But we can never predict.

PayPal is not at all the preferred payment option in most of the countries. There are some countries who actually hate using PayPal for it's hefty fee structure. Whereas Bitcoin takes negligible fees, Yes, I do agree that Bitcoin is yet to be implemented in many stores across the world but still the priority of the people is shifting towards Bitcoin than PayPal.

I don’t think so in fact the only people who does not use PayPal these days are the ones that don’t have access to it, in the big developed countries PayPal is the best option and they are using it in everything, it is true that the bitcoin is a good currency and does not take fees but it still has a long way to go before taking over the PayPal.

Yeah, this is something that will depend on the user and the situation. A few years ago, I used PayPal, and had no problems, but after using Bitcoin, I realized that there are several advantages with regard to convenience and fees. There are people who have not yet adapted to the concept of decentralized technologies, probably did not realize the benefits of it, and have become accustomed to other forms of payment.

Paypal accounts can be closed or payments can be put on hold for no reason.
When you own Bitcoin you actually own them and no one can take them away from you.

Well, as long as a transaction isn't yet confirmed (could be due to a low fee for example) then the coins aren't yours yet. If I double spend the same coins with in this case a way higher fee so it gets picked up by pools, the transaction that you received will simply vanish where you end up with nothing. That's why it's important that when you do business with Bitcoin, that you wait for that 1 confirmation before you complete the deal. Better safe than sorry.

Yes. We do not have full control of our money in paypal. Bitcoin is very practicaly, fast and secure. I agree that bitcoin is better than paypal. I hope the rest of the world know about bitcoin.

just wondering if it's from those freelancers perspective, just in case if in the future bitcoin will be available for payment processing option for those freelancing websites, the freelancers will prefer bitcoin over paypal or the opposite, since both already have its advantage hence it might be a really complicated decision

Not a representative of the whole freelancing nation, but for being one of them I will say that if those freelancing sites are enabled to pay us with bitcoins.

I will grab it because it can help me to save a lot of bucks because of bitcoin transactions are very cheap.

And the confirmation are also fast but not all the time but overall I will prefer to use bitcoin rather than paypal.

that feature is good for the buyers but pretty annoying or may even a disasters for the sellers, just incase if the buyers which already received the stuff could bypass the paypal approvement regarding chargeback then they're doomed, paypal is really annoying just one thing that make it advantageous is the coverage

That's right the fees charged by Paypal is too high comparatively bitcoins is very cheap and even the credits are instant so the day I started knowing bitcoins I closed my Paypal account and don't need it anymore and opening a account in Paypal is a time consuming process which is not affordable in this fast track life.

I assume you're making use of an online wallet service that is asking these bits of information from you? If you just stick to PC clients such as Bitcoin Core, then there is nothing required from you information wise. If you're a business selling stuff for PayPal, then the fees are indeed steep. But the main benefit is the great level of acceptance that PayPal is enjoying. Especially when you consider that if you buy stuff with PayPal, that it's only the selling party that ends up paying the fee, and not the buyer. Plus the buyer enjoys their much loved buyer protection. If you look at it from that perspective, then there is no real point for these people to ditch PayPal any time soon.

Paypal is nice payment processor but paypal take time to send your payment. BTC is great because this give instant payment. Therefore my personal think is bitcoin. Time is money and that is the reason bitcoin takes a lead over Paypal and the only reason Paypal has more users and its more popular only because it exists since long time and it has huge market cap whereas bitcoin is still new to many people but things will change in future when more people will get aware about bitcoins.

However it still exists and there will always be a niche market for both options, since each has its advantages and disadvantages, pros and cons. That's true and Paypal enjoys good user base as its older then bitcoins and bitcoin has not yet reached everywhere and that is the reason Paypal is holding its position in the market but I am sure once people would get aware bitcoins it will not take much time for them to switch to bitcoins and say bye bye to Paypal.

Yes when i want to buy bitcoin i would not buy it with paypal.

Because also when you use paypal friends and family you can charge the money back when you say,
that your account was hacked.

I have this one time also, i sell some bitcoin and the person get charge his money back,
so i also dont use paypal anymore to buy bitcoins, it is very risky.
