yeah, it is the best option for those people who are not that active in trading. it is best for them to hold bitcoin and wait for the price rise.

but for those who are actively trading the stable market of bitcoin is not so good (low chance of profiting) so they enter altcoin market, earn some profit and by the time bitcoin started moving they dump all their altcoins and come back to bitcoin market.

No, but the mentioned coins might go up (somewhat) in the short term. ETH has shot up into the stratosphere but scooping up ETH at this point is akin to gambling from my point of view; not certain if the price is incredibly inflated right now and starts nosediving within days, or really becomes huge in the coming weeks/months and dwarfs 'traditional' alts like LTC, NMC and PPC.

I don't know if ETH is the best option now. Many already claims that the price is so high, maybe a dump is coming. Better keep the market in your vision and once you think that the price it will be on the actual ground you could buy it

If the new floor of Ethereum is $5, that is a very successful pump and not a pump and dump. I would call that value finding.

I was shorting yesterday ETH at around 6 at Polo but closed to early at around 5.70.
But on the other hand I was buying today at around 5 USD, I guess this could be somehow the floor and I think prices of 10 or 15 are still possible for Ether.

absolutely, I like Lisk a lot. I have downloaded the test-client and it's really working very smooth.
It's also nice the DAPPS (decentrale applications) are the same like the Smart Contracts from Ethereum, but here it's the case that you can program them in JavaScryt, what is more easy.
I expect this can be a very successful start.

If you refer to shift  as a coin, afaik it's not the first eth clone, imo expanse was the first. Correct me if i'm wrong

My opinion, these are the only three you really need to worry about.  You have btc the commodity (and bottom up approach), xrp the bridge currency (and top down approach), eth for smart contracts, etc.
