If you have a short term plan to make trade with the altcoin, then yes altcoins worth buying.
But on term basis , it is too risky.
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Radium is my best alt investment advice right now.
Way to undervalued for it's tech.

Darknet Tongue

Active developers and some  pretty big names behind it tbh.

There is a low buying atm for masternodes, so I would suggest getting one.

These masternodes makes more than 2TH/s mining pr day.
And you get your money back in around 60 days..
Depending on the price ofc.
How do I invest in darknet?
How can I buy a masternode?

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

Well that's the question that if someone truly knew they'd be a very wealthy individual. No one knows but u can do research/make educated guesses.. When it comes to protocols that are primarily used for value transfer, *my educated guess* is theres only room for bitcoin and maybe 1 or 2 others. & the others would more than likely have significantly smaller market caps. I think LTC is a strong candidate simply bc it was one of the first alts to take off and got lucky by the fact that many of the Chinese who trade it don't really think of it as an altcoin. But I don't think it will increase in value relative to btc much (prob just fluctuate within a certain trading range) notwithstanding the extremely rare event that something happens to btc that doesn't affect LTC at all. XMR also has an interesting value proposition imo. Fungibility is an important characteristic of good/sound money. While bitcoin can improve on it's fungibility with things like zcash, it can never be as fungible as XMR is at it's core. This allows monero to make the claim it's more like digital cash, where btc is a decentralized distributed ledger.

When you get into the ethereum type projects/coins i am more uncertain where this goes. Will btc be able to eat ETH's lunch with rootstock etc... idk. I think there's a non trivial chance ETH or an ETH like technology shares a major portion of the crypto pie. Just too early to tell if/what and im observing that space on the sidelines for now.

At this stage of the game, I think it's smart to keep at least 70~80% of your crpyto wealth in BTC

its hard to know just do your own research and if you follow the market everyday you start seeing patterns follow them

I think it's best to invest in altcoins that have been around for a while and have continuous development.
they should also bring something unique and fancy to the table and be undervalued Smiley
I think of BitBay or I/O Coin for example.

highly depends on your risk profile.
If you like to invest like Warren Buffet I can recommend you not to invest into a coin without understanding the technical basics and how to use it.

If you feel crazy, just take a sample of the TOP vote list of new coins to be added to an exchange. The startup phase can be very volantile Shocked
That may be very good or bad for your investment.

I suggest you the Creditbit.I used this coin and it's unbelievable fast.I think it's a very good alternative in latest bitcoin's delays. It's very cheap too, so a very good investment opportunity.I saw that the most coins with so low price go up at least 10x-20x.I believe it will be in 20 cents until July.Only if you try it you'll see how fast it is.

no.

100's ? ..there is thousands of coins = they are all garbage.

when the new forum comes out soon they just delete the whole fucking ANN section !

EDIT:

I will literally grab some cash and light it on fire before i buy any faggy shit coins.. ALTCOINS ARE DEAD IDIOTS !

wake the fuck up it's 2016 guys.

Think i am kidding ?
I will wait till tomorrow then grab some cash and torch it for you and take pictures & post them ROFL
I'd rather light my cash on fire then give it to another douche who downloaded GitHub.zip

EDIT2:
Stay tuned in about 10 hours i will post here pic's of money i light on fire.. i will write ALTCOINS on the bill's too LOL

Like i said..

Note:
The Polymer Note didn't want to light up because of the winter cold (it's snowing in Canada)
But.. when it did catch on fire it took off fast and burned my fucking thumb while i frantically reached for my phone

You can see it says "Altcoins" like i said it would earlier and i added my name circled.

good for you how much is that usd I'm making on alts so I'll pile my money

Several examples are the Dash, Monero and Ethereum. The litecoin is also around for some time, but it is just a clone.
