How do we know its not master p scamming and just telling us he sold his account?

After reading all of this, it's my thoughts as well.

The only proof we have that he did sell his account, is coming from him. While he was a trusted member back then, right now, all of that is going to ashes. In his situation, anyone would definitely lie to try and keep a straight face.

The only ones who can prove if it is indeed him, or not, are the two forum admins that have access to IP logs. He can't be that much of a smartass and remember to change his IP to another one every time he logs in after August, or at least I hope so.

If he did sell his account though -which is still just a theory that is only backed by one untrusted person, him- then he should still cooperate and make public whatever info he has of the buyer, which should include at least the e-mail, or whatever info he used to contact him with, and if he did indeed sell everything to him, from bitcointalk account, to PGP, and even potentially paxful. Which is exactly why I am still skeptical about this whole account sale. People are just getting biased because of his trust, and can't give equal weight to the fact that he himself might be fucking everybody over.

He purchased an SD card from this user  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=520885

and maybe TECSHARE can confirm if the shipping addresses are the same.

Did TECSHARE  confirmed the addy with that user ? if it's the same, no doubt's then.

Here

Yeah and the last bitcoin wallet posted STILL has the funds in it. My fingers are crossed for everyone involved. Cause if master-p falls tonight? I might not ever escrow another payment honestly.
Did i get this wrong ?
Update to my post. Ah man i really get it wrong by watching all his post sorry for problems and my mistake.

Hopefully the threat of a dox will get people their BTC back before the dox actually happens.

Most people in their right mind don't want their personal information all over the internet associated with a scam.

I'm still in shock about this whole situation Sad.

I just wanted to make a note, that if all the funds are returned I promise to keep these dox private. This agreement would of course be void if you continue to trade and you are spotted building up rep on a new account. At this point they have not been released, but there have been inquiries regarding them.

Yes that's good, hopefully master-p or the 'new' account holder return the BTC so the dox doesn't have to happen.

Regardless of what now happens the master-p account is worthless and so is his reputation.

If Master-P was sold the old owner is responsible for this mess. This community is pretty pathetic if this was the case.

I agree the original master-p is responsible and should be held accountable for everyones losses if the're aren't returned in full.

He should never, ever have sold his 'highly trusted' account for any amount of money no matter how broke or down on his luck he was.

Still, something doesn't quite add up, mainly the low price the account was sold for.

I must have missed that, how much was the account sold for?

Seems the buyer turned a very nice roi on this scam.  Angry
There should be some rules put in place that forbids the selling of high ranking or green trust accounts.
It's a shame.

 Sad

Even if the forums banned account selling, some people will keep on selling accounts by doing it privately. Banning the account sale will only make it going underground and make it harder to track so it is not really worth it although account sale is totally discouraged here

I think that master-p needs to address this issue asap and provide as much information about the trade itself and the buyer to clear his name otherwise I'm afraid to say this looks more likely that master-p has turned into a scammer and that the account was never sold.

master-p you need to prove your innocence!

I'm really sorry to read those sad information about Master-p.

This is the reason why I will never use an escrow. As I remember I was in need to use an escrow service only maybe like two times, as my customer forced me to do so Smiley

BTW. Why you would trust any escrow more than a man who work for you?  Just because he's an 'Escrow'? Smiley

IMO, we can live without any escrows. Forum has nothing to do with it.

Best regards.
