Hey Pokey 1970 FLY went to superfly. I think we need to rollback the chain. We need to talk with Kees. Also like Ive told everyone, you NEED to get an antikeylogger. Cryptopia needs to freeze that wallet. You need premium https://www.qfxsoftware.com/download.htmVegas My opinion is that is a terrible idea and sets a terrible precedent. Messing with the blockchain like this is a fine line to cross like someone stated above. Glad to see you guys on a self mod thread, Vegas! Good news: All coins will be recovered without a rollback. We found that all coins were for sale on Cryptopia exchange. The trading of FLY on Cryptopia is paused. Result will be that our team member will get back all FLY coins.

Not that good news. It seems like he lost a lot of other coins at the same time. FLY was probably the least of his holdings.

Ok your right, relatively good news. So being a little centralized had some good advantage in a stolen coin situation. The stolen coins are being recovered. The anti dump took more then half of the stolen coins so they can be given back.

Staked my first FLY today, gonna take me forever to get to the 100 FLY club... Have you considered not taxing the little guys on their staking? Hmmm, now that is an idea. Maybe those who don't have 100 coins aren't taxed? Very good suggestion! All those that have above 100 the tax applies. I like it. We will definitely discuss this - I am not sure what it means in programming but Kees will. Also, discussing other rewards to holders under 100 as another option. Thanks for the suggestion

News: A Fly holder just got robbed of all of his coins - not just FLY. They took his wallets through team viewer for all his coins. Also, they must have had a keylogger on his computer since the wallets were encrypted. The only very small saving grace is the large Tx fees went to the SuperFly wallet and can be sent back to him. Also, Team Fly got Cryptopia to freeze the trading on Fly so those could be recovered as well. Team Fly is reimbursing the Burn Fees. Very sad for him. Many thousands of dollars.
If all of your wallets are not encrypted please do so and install an anti-keylogger. I use Key-Scrambler Premium (small fee) but, there are others which are free.

And for the love of god don't install or use remote desktop software. If you HAVE to for work then get either an RPi2 for your wallets or get another computer and have a physical delineation between your remote machine and your crypto machine.

The remote desktop software itself isn't bad, it's poor configuration if you dont set the security setting properly or more likely just a scapegoat. Why would someone create a fake miner just to access your TeamViewer to later login and steal your wallet.dat by hand with the user potentially watching to stop it? It'd be way easier to just have the fake miner steal the wallet.dat itself and be done with it.

Yes you are correct. Likely this was NOT done by team viewer and a trojan that downloads the wallet.dat with a keylogger.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Well-he said team viewer showed the wallet files having been transferred when he looked at his computer this morning??? Don't know the facts on if team viewer was password protected but a key logger could have gotten that as well

Now many that are not holding fly or think fly is too controlled. I want to point out some facts. User Pokey had all his coins stolen from many different wallets from a trojan built into a mining software program. He will get back ALL of FLY his coins. He probably wont be getting back any of the other many coins that were stolen, and it was a LOT of money. So to those of you that dislike fly because it has some centralization, it is the EXACT reason this user will get all of his FLY coins back, and probably nothing else. \ Soon we will be adding Google Authenticator to the wallet. This will be a massive project. BUT we need it, badly. We are still a few months out. First we have to make sure everyone has free withdrawals on Cryptopia. Speaking of Cryptopia , I notified the owner of Cryptopia and he immediately paused trading on FLY. So for those of you that have looked at FLY and might think its too controlled or too centralized or we are on the wrong exchange. Here is absolute proof , that I got it all right. My ways are very abnormal and many people dont understand until something like this happens, and then it all becomes clear. Bottom line: There is no safer place to put your money. When I started FLY I knew all hell would break loose once people realized it was not just another clone coin. There is a part of of that is centralized and trolls are kicking up like crazy to try to shut us down. Well, they can scream as loud as they want. Fly is not going anywhere. They are doing their best to hurt my reputation, but nothing they have said has any substance, and frankly im quite sure none of them are over 15 years of age. So if you love the safety of FLY great. If you hate the fact that you cant just dump for greedy profits at the cost of everyone's loss, then get used to it. Fly is here to stay. So scream as loud as you want, it wont wont change a thing. It hasnt changed a thing. For the rest of you, you NEED to buy keyscrambler premium $44 this confuses keyloggers and is specifically for crypto wallets. https://www.qfxsoftware.com/download.htmVegas

Seems like the team is more interested in XDEII than FLY at this point. There used to be many posts in the FLY thread each day, now there are few to none.
What is the plan with this? How will time be balanced between two different projects and what will happen when one becomes far more valuable to the team than the other?

Hello all - I am still licking my wounds today and would like to thank you for getting my Flycoin back and for the donations and well wishes. I will be coming back to Flycoin. I need to get my computer in order before I do though. I will obviously need to change the wallet address for my main stake. I will work on changing out a new wallet this weekend and reach out to kees for exemption. I am happy to be a part of this community and I will persevere! I will not let some spineless thief win. Peace all.

Thanks for the question. There are times in every business when you need to complete certain items before you launch full speed ahead on many fronts. The wallet developers solved the complex coding issues to allow w/d's of Fly from the exchange to be exempt for everyone w/o high feess and the need to manually add each user to an exempt list. This is currently being tested with expected releaase soon. The team intentionally decided not to push Marketing & Real World usages for Fly until the wallet is finalized with regards to the exchange w/d's. Pushing people to buy FLY that would be stuck on the exchange would not be positive. Once that issue is resolved, which is expected upon completion of wallet testing, you will see things rev up more here. Concerning manpower: There are a dozen team members for FLY so I don't foresee a problem with time dedicated to FLY. Right now the lull is caused by the need to complete the wallet which allows exchange w/d's.

With the theft of Pokey's coins and people trying to help him recover them, it looks like your post may have gone unanswered. Apologies!---snip to questions------ I booted up the Windows wallet - V1.6.1 but it won't sync. I have now downloaded the latest version from the OP in this thread. Haven't installed it just yet. Will it overwrite the old QT or do I need to extract my wallet.dat to a safe place, and then delete the old wallet and replace with the new one entirely? Save a copy of your wallet.dat (Just in case - as always) The new wallet 1.7.8 will overwrite the old one. Suggestion - while Most have had no problem upgrading - I did (Lucky me). You will probably have no problem. The old bug from way, way back would not let me open my wallet past the flash screen. First, I suggest you dumpprivkey in console (and write down priv. key carefully & dbl. check.) for each address which has coins in case you have the same problem. If you do have a problem, you can do a new, clean install & just do a importprivkey (type help in console for syntax or ask for help here, if needed).I think a lot has happened since I last staked FLY - my last stake was 17-11-15 - so is there anything specific I should know before starting the new wallet? I think I understand the NEW fees! Overwite the old and you should be set. Fees: No fees to combine or split blocks is on exempt list/name claimed (which you are)Do I have to claim my address again on the explorer? No - you are set Do I have to get in touch with whoever is running the new explorer to claim. KeesDewit, our lead wallet Developer, runs the explorer but you are all set there. Are the rules for the SUPERFLY payments still the same? No outbound transfers and social media posting, after an explorer name claim? No changes. Vegas will always announce any changes. Other poss. in addition to social media: blog, thread suggestions to improve FLY, Translation threads, help on website, etc. Stake to Exchange OKAny help would be appreciated, as there is a lot to take in and I don't want to make any mis-steps If you have a problem, PM me and I will help!
