Hello

This is my test build of hodlminer
https://github.com/Orava2/hodlminer-binary/raw/master/hodlminer-orava2017.zip

Could not compile it by using Mingw64 but Msys2 worked. Unfotunately Msys2 doesn't support static builds.

Could you test how much the new version of hodlminer.exe is faster than old one?

hi mate !! we use the same config (.bat) file as the wolf miner ??

cause everytime i try to run it with your miner it closes after 2-3 secs

Bill Hicks was right about....everything

What is your CPU? Same bat file should work.

Why the community is still there and hodling, developer abandoned the ship and the coin has nothing new to offer.
It would make sense to let it die completely or get a new lead. I personally would donate to fund supporting new dev team and promotion of the coin.

Is anyone willing to take over? I guess the original dev doesn't give a flying f**k about it anymore.
HODL was abandoned by dev and needed a responsible person to take over the community. The other day I saw a few projects like HODL, almost exactly the same.

I think the problem is that my binary requires an AVX2 support and Ivy Bridge processors only have AVX support. I thought that older binary like https://github.com/madzebra/hodlminer-binary/raw/master/hodlminer.exe also required AVX2 support but maybe I was wrong and that version works uses only SSE or AVX instructions. When I get my i7-3770S I can do more tests.

Hey everyone,
I've made a discord server instead of the slack that we had.
You can join using the invite code x5fuQkZ or using the link https://discord.gg/x5fuQkZ
Feel free to join and ask questions(hopefully the developer joins too so he can give clear answers)

Greetings. I'm new to hodlcoin and mining in general. I've been mining a few different coins for a couple of months. I became more interested in hodl since it's miner is still CPU based, it's still relatively easy to mine and I see there is mention of development needs.

I'm a coder from ancient days and returning as a hobbiest working C++ .

Question for the coders... looks like the source is *nix based. Has anyone built on windows? (visual studio)
I've got a decent linux dev box, but prefer working on VS if I can.  thanks

So after a bit of study for the answer... MSVS isn't really supported anymore for bitcoin build. It's all about linux/MinGW.
